Chapter 156: Aethernova’s Headquarters

After Enzo’s valedictorian speech, the graduation finally ended, making Max and Auntie Sarah gathered around him and taking family pictures with him.

Auntie Sarah was extremely proud, chattering nonstop, while Max simply said a few words every now and then, mostly mentioning about buying the gaming pod after the graduation, irking Auntie Sarah.

To Max’s surprise, Enzo still managed to gain a lot of friends, as he was mostly snatched by them to take pictures.

What Max surprised the most of how Enzo charmed the school belle, incessantly informing him about establishing connection with her in Apocalypse Online.

Afterwards, Max, Enzo, and Auntie Sarah had a lavish lunch before returning to their house.

They were already preparing for their vacation.

Max openly told them that Aethernova wanted to recruit him as their first contracted professional player.

It was noted that Aethernova had not establish a contract to any player, hinting for their desire to establish Max as their first ever elite player.

Max set the negotiation date, allowing Enzo to accompany him and treat their journey as a vacation after their graduation.

Toronto was also seen to be the immigration leader, as over 50% of residents are foreign-born, making it more multi-ethnic than major global peers like New York City.

Toronto was also an an exceptional, vibrant vacation destination, featuring iconic landmarks like the CN Tower, diverse neighborhoods, and a world-class food scene.

It was more than enough for Enzo to have his vacation in Toronto after his graduation.

Of course, he wanted to visit Aethernova as well, curious about the creator behind the gaming pod.

Max had informed him that they could visit the public plaza of Aethernova, making Enzo interested.

Aethernova was a major financial and tech hub in North America.

They have a strong presence of AI, biotech, and software industries.

Their headquarters was established in a 90+floor corporate skyscraper.

It was already tomorrow morning after Enzo’s graduation that they finally visited Aethernova.

Max led them to the public plaza.

With the assistance of an Aethernova’s staff, who personally welcomed Max with a surprise expression on her face, they visited the public plaza’s facilities.

Reception Hall, Interactive Technology Museum, Product Experience Center, Corporate Merchandise Store, Public Cafes, Visitor Information Center... Not a single facility was exempted, taking them almost eight hours.

When they were finished, it was already in the evening and Enzo and Auntie Sarah had already grown familiar with Aethernova’s public plaza.

The public plaza alone consisted of ten floors, so vast that they noticed that some places were not visited yet.

At the moment, Enzo and Auntie Sarah was inside of one of the Public Cafes, while they bid farewell to Max, who followed the staff.

The staff was a woman of Max’s age. She was exceptionally beautiful, her curvaceous figure and stunning face caught the public’s eyes easily.

Wearing a black suit with a logo of Aethernova on her chest, it was inevitable that she became a cynosure of all eyes.

That made them only be extremely curious about Max’s identity.

Compared before, Max had undergone a dramatic transformation.

He appeared matured, his body became lean but packed with muscles. The way he walked seemed almost perfect in the eyes of the public.

They would not be surprised if Max was a combat athlete.

His previous average face had actually glow up, after taking skin care and paired with constant training.

The staff of Aethernova, who introduced herself as Kylie, couldn’t help but steal a glance at Max, finding him attractive.

From his physique down to his aura, he was almost a perfect man for Kylie’s eyes.

As Max walked beside her, she asked, "How old are you?"

Max did not reply, causing Kylie to feel awkward.

Still, that simple response gained Kylie’s positive impression.

Although we don’t have a deep background about him as a professional player in the past, he knows how to interact socially as a business-minded individual.

He’s not naive. Aethernova will find it hard to control him.

As Kylie led Max to the 70th floor, she didn’t stop initiating a conversation with him.

"You don’t have to be on guard against me. We will be working together from now on. I will be your agent."

After hearing her words, only then Max replied, "22."

Max’s birthday occurred last month, where they had a feast on their house with just the three of them.

Kylie was delighted that she had finally gained Max’s attention.

She praised. "At such a young age, you have already achieve a world-class achievement in the esports."

But Kylie continued a lightful conversation, where Max patiently replied.

Max was not gullible, so he recognized that Kylie’s questions often disguised attempts to probe into private matters.

With Max’s quick-witted response, seeing through her subtle attempt, Kylie couldn’t help but feel more frustrated.

She was not asked by Aethernova to be privy on his personal life, but she could not help but feel curious for Max.

Max noticed that her attempt kept failing, exposing her frustration from her face, and asked, "You should be new."

Kylie was taken aback.

Since Max fired back with a private life inquiry, her response was mild to calm her down.

"Yeah."

Max instantly replied, "That should explain why you are ignorant on the difference between personal inquiries and business inquiries."

Kylie was taken aback.

Max’s response only fueled her exasperation...
