After the dinner, Max had now decided to train the next four hours in the terrace.

He was adapting to his work ethics.

He wouldn’t trade his health for the sake of grinding inside the game.

He already learned a lot from his mistakes in the past—forgetting to take care of his health, working hard to the point he was hospitalized.

For the first year of Apocalypse Online, many players were hospitalized for neglecting their health, adjusting to the gaming pod’s availability.

There were some who got contacted severe diseases as a result—others had cancers.

Max didn’t want to suffer like them in his new life, he was extremely meticulous.

Hence, even though the gaming pod could now be played after four hours of waiting, Max would rather prioritize his body first, by sleeping for seven hours straight and taking care of his body for an hour before delving into the game.

Like what others said, "Prevention is better than cure."

Furthermore, as Apocalypse Online grew, so was the Aethernova. They would invest highly on prioritizing the players’ health while allowing them to play heavily without worry.

That was how they managed to produce top-tier gaming pod in the future.

Max had to be patient. He knew that rushing things out of anxiety wouldn’t produce good results.

If he wanted to remain in his position for the long-term, then he must think for the long-term.

After for hours of training and exercising in the terrace, his improvements on his Neuromuscular Combat System was significant.

Still, due to the body restraint, he perceived it would still take a year for him to progress to the Coordination Level.

At that level, humans had already transcended to the limits.

Most of them were already regarded as superhumans.

At that time, every single individual who came to learn about the effects of playing inside the game, training the methodology produced by different organizations based on the learnings from the NPCs, didn’t hesitate anymore and began investing.

Apocalypse Online ushered in a new era of virtual reality game.

As Max was sitting in the lotus position to train his breathing, he opened his eyes and uttered what had been on his thoughts for a while now.

Come to think of it, humans on Earth couldn’t possibly make a breakthrough from the limits of humans’ physique due to the constraint brought by our world, perhaps.

Compared to the world inside the game, where an existence of mana was apparent, Earth couldn’t possess enough energy to sustain the human body’s transcension.

Furrowing his eyebrows, falling into deep contemplation, his eyes widened after he reached a plausible shocking conclusion.

If Apocalypse Online could appear out of nowhere, mana could also began manifesting in the world, right?

After all, without mana, space rifts wouldn’t just appeared.

His breathing grew ragged.

He closed his eyes and tried to recall every significance events that transpired in his past life.

After connecting the dots, he couldn’t help but explode into the hoot of laughter.

So, it’s not just a coincidence that Lewis Guild and other guilds suddenly able to adapt to the appearance of the space rifts, huh?

They should have been preparing to change the world into a new one once Earth accumulated enough mana to transfer what they learnt from the game into the real world.

Unfortunately, they didn’t expect the appearance of the space rifts.

However, having grew accustomed to the battle in the game, they quickly adapted and established their foundation in some country, erasing the history and creating their own nation built solely to idolized them by the people.

Max grinned. Amazing. I never learnt this in my past life. Although it’s unknown if it indeed happened, as I still failed to perceive the presence of mana before the apocalypse descended, in some places of the world, mana might have already appeared.

Furthermore, my mana sensitivity failed to reach the Master level due to the lack of resources.

This time around, I should visit some historical place in the world to confirm my conclusion.

I should still have... hmm... I will do it in three years.

Now that Max had decided to not neglect the occurrence in the real world he failed to discover from his past life, he was determined not to miss them again.

However, to prevent raising suspicions from the pentagon and other powerhouse that were quietly investigating him, he must wait for Aethernova themselves to reach out to him.

Max believed that Aethernova was among those organizations who would discover the appearance of mana.

He had already exposed himself to the public, especially his Neuromuscular Combat System, training in the terrace and exposing the effects by fighting against some loan sharks, and he had to be cautious henceforth.

He could already explain the Neuromuscular Combat System as the training he learnt from the game.

Nevertheless, he believed that the pentagon wouldn’t make a move against him very soon.

As Max enjoyed basking in the sunlight, he opened his eyes and felt invigorated after playing training.

He stood up and gazed at the figures in the street, walking back and forth.

Suddenly, he noticed someone was staring at him, but he couldn’t point out their location.

He feigned ignorance of their presence and stretched his body for a while.

It must be the pentagon. He didn’t expect that they were already observing him. Perhaps, an FBI is already watching over me.

But this is just futile. Although I’m just an ordinary citizen with no strong backing, not even Aethernova could protect me from them, even a genius could be born in some countryside.

If they risk of offending me, their reputation would be at risk.

Once Max finished stretching, he took one glance in his surroundings and entered his master bedroom.

He ate first with Auntie Sarah and Enzo, took a shower, and finally dove into the game at 7:30 am...
