Chapter 93: Lightning Prison

The mutated toad was still in two minds on which way to go when the pillars of lightning struck down at its body from above.

Boom!

The pillars of lightning landed onto the back of the mutated toad and moved around the body of the mutated toad, ravaging the scales that were protecting its body.

However, the scales on the body of the mutated toad weren’t too badly damaged by the pillars of lightning.

Some of the scales were blown into pieces, while some were burnt and chipped off.

Most of the scales remained on the body of the mutated toad to protect it.

Alex knew that he was dealing with something else from what he was used to before when he saw what happened.

But as he was getting ready to unleash another attack at the mutated toad, the mutated toad opened its mouth and its purple tongue shot out at him directly.

Bam!

He raised his hands and lightning strikes shot out at the purple tongue that was coming at him with tremendous speed.

But when his lightning strikes hit the purple tongue it didn’t even flinch and there wasn’t any damage on it.

Alex frowned and he suddenly felt a gust of wind that came from his right.

Another purple tongue had lashed out at him from the other head of the mutated toad.

"Alex!" Riley, Terry and Brian shouted when they saw the purple tongue get close to him within a split second.

Their eyes opened wide and they gasped but fortunately, what they feared in their minds didn’t happen.

Alex disappeared from where he was, turning into a speck of shadow.

The purple tongues missed and they crossed each other.

Whoosh.

Both the purple tongues retracted back into the mutated toad’s mouth.

The mutated toad gave out a croak in anger with both of its heads.

A gust of wind blew and the air stirred when it did so.

But it could only make such an angry display.

The mutated toad tried to sense where Alex was but it was unable to do so.

There was no sign of him around anywhere.

Riley, Terry and Brian took the opportunity to unleash whatever they could at the mutated toad.

Bubbles, meteors made up of fireballs and metallic walls rained down at it.

Thump.

The mutated toad leaped away from where it was and it landed a hundred meters away from where Riley and the others were.

As it landed onto the ground, the ground shook again, making the stones and soil on the ground tremble and jump into the air.

Its hind legs kicked backwards as if it was getting ready to do something drastic.

However, before it could do so, a figure appeared not too far away from it.

Alex used his storage portals, surrounding the mutated toad at its front, side and back, leaving it nowhere to run.

Then, he unleashed the lightning prison from above and lightning webs from the side and back portals.

Crackle.

There was only crackling of the lightning strikes that could be heard and the bright flashes from all the lightning strikes that covered the mutated toad within lit up the surroundings into whiteness.

The lightning webs landed on the body of the mutated toad and held it where it was.

This made the mutated toad thrash around in pain.

But it wasn’t over yet.

Pillars of lightning appeared out of nowhere.

The pillars of lightning crossed each other and formed into something like a lightning wall.

They slowly moved towards each other to close up the space within them, forming into a prison cell and trapping the mutated toad inside.

Splatter.

Using all the strength it had, the mutated toad tried to leap out from the confines of the lightning prison but it got badly hurt from it instead.

The scales couldn’t protect the mutated toad anymore, its skin, flesh and blood were blown into pieces and splattered all over when it came into contact with the lightning walls of the lightning prison.

It struggled and tried to leap out from the lightning prison again.

But the same thing happened to it.

One of its forelegs and its hind legs were blown off this time, leaving its body lying on the ground helplessly.

Finally, the walls of the lightning prison closed in on what remained of the mutated toad.

Boom!

The lightning prison gave out a huge explosion and it blew the body of the mutated toad into smithereens.

Nothing was left of it where it was.

Only a huge crater that was at least twenty meters in diameter could be seen.

Alex inhaled a slow breath to catch his breath and a familiar sound erupted in his mind.

[Ding!]

Alex read the bonus for killing off a Stage IV mutated beast and he gave out a sigh.

It wasn’t much but he couldn’t complain.

With two hundred odd people following him, he needed the essentials like water and food for as many as possible.

"What the hell was that?" Riley came over and asked.

Terry and Brian who had also come over nodded their heads to his question.

They were astonished at the destructive power of the lightning prison.

"I can’t use it too many times." Alex said with a shrug.

He wished he could use the lightning prison anyhow but it was not possible.

The lightning prison took out so much of his energy that he would feel weak and expose himself to dangers.

It was best to store the lightning prison into his storage portals as a way to conserve his energy instead.

Alex glanced back at the buses to check on the other students.
