Chapter 121: Discovery!

Alex couldn’t find anything that was useful at first.

The body of General Xavier didn’t have much on him; the only thing that seemed to be suspicious was his golden ring, which looked normal.

He took out the ring from the finger of General Xavier and observed it.

Hidden underneath the ring was a very tiny opening that looked like an electronic connector.

Alex figured he could get some of the Awakened or engineering students in the hydroelectric dam to help.

"I have something else to take care of. I’ll see you later." He put the body of General Xavier and the equipment back into his storage space and he bid Teresa and her team farewell.

He headed for the dining area to look for Eddy.

"I suspect that this is an electronic storage device. Do you know if anyone can figure out whether there’s any useful information inside?" Alex asked with the ring in his hand.

"Rodney has the ability to control and get into any electronic devices, he should be able to help." Eddy replied, and Alex was glad for it.

"I’ll be in Brian’s room if you need to find me," Alex said, and he turned around.

Norton and the townsfolk who were still enjoying their warm and cozy meal waved at him when they saw him walk by.

Some even stopped what they were doing to come up to him and thank him.

"Thank you so much!"

"You are our savior."

"We would still be stuck in that godforsaken town if not for you."

More and more of them swarmed around him.

"I appreciate it, but all I need from you is to work hard and contribute to the operations of the hydroelectric dam." Alex acknowledged them and said.

Reminding them that all the comforts didn’t come for free and they had to pitch in.

"We will. Don’t worry about that." The townsfolk replied without much hesitation.

Knowing that they were honest folks, Alex nodded at them and left.

Back in Brian’s room, his friends were waiting for him to join in and feast on the meal that Terry had prepared.

He took a bite of the steak and it was tender and savory as usual.

Nothing beats a good meal after a hard day’s worth of work.

The four of them bantered and chatted about how they would laze around for a few days after what they had gone through.

All of them joked about how they would be making big money with their abilities if the Apocalypse ended.

And as they enjoyed their meal, the door was knocked on.

"Rodney has figured it out." Eddy came in with another young man, who was holding a laptop, and said.

"Come in quick." Alex let them in and Rodney put the laptop on the dining table he was sitting at.

On the screen of the laptop was some document and a map.

The map had a red cross marked with exact coordinates beside it.

Words that said "Rich fuckers hideout" were also marked next to the red cross.

Alex quickly read through the documents, and he knew who these rich fuckers that General Xavier marked were.

They were also not the only ones inside the hideout; the authorities that allowed things to happen were also inside it.

All of them with the rich billionaires were waiting for their research result and everything to be scorched on the surface before they emerge as saviors of humanity again.

Alex wasn’t going to allow them to do that.

He was raging inside about how these people played God and wanted to become so powerful that they could be in control forever.

There was no way he was going to let them.

"See, I told you guys ages ago that they are out to kill and enslave us all along..." Riley said with his fist clenched.

Alex, Terry and Brian rolled their eyes at him before he could start his rant again.

"I shall leave the laptop with you," Rodney said, and he left with Eddy shortly after.

With them gone, Alex began to discuss with his friends what to do next.

After the success in going into Fort Ramsey, Alex was confident that they should be able to infiltrate into the doomsday bunker to get rid of all the rich billionaires and powerful figures.

The location of the doomsday bunker was also within reach for them, so distance wasn’t a huge issue.

"I think it’s time to end it for them," Alex said, and his friends nodded their heads.

They were also eager to get rid of those who had caused so much suffering for them and other folks.

Life was going on well for everyone, and yet, it was a total mess for most of them.

If not for the fact that they were with Alex, they might have perished a long time ago.

"Ending it too soon might be a mercy for them. I can’t imagine if everyone knew what they were up to and everyone got their hands on these fuckers." Brian spoke more than he normally did.

The rage against the billionaires and powerful figures was hard for them to contain.

"Then, I propose we do the same as what we did at Fort Ramsey.

"We have to do it fast as a surprise attack.

"After what we did at Fort Ramsey, they might be making new arrangements as we speak." Alex said, and his friends nodded their heads.

It worked, and their coordination would be much smoother this time.

They went on to discuss how to go about it with finer details late into the night.

When they finally got tired, they called it a day and rested for the night.

It would be a busy day for them to prepare for the attack on the doomsday bunker next.

Next day.

Alex woke up to an egg and sausage breakfast with toast.

There was even coffee to help freshen him up.

He had a busy day yesterday and it would be the same today.

After he was done with breakfast, he headed to the car park to get the vehicles he had ready.
