Apocalypse: I Built a City of Sin
Apocalypse — Chapter 66: I Accept!
“If you already know I would never do that to you, why ask such a stupid question?” Xiao Yi found it rather amusing. Then his expression turned indifferent. “I came here today to ask you the same question as before. Do you want to come with me to my shelter? There are many people there, along with plenty of food and water.”
“Then what are your conditions? Could you please not force me? Student Xiao... I... I’m a clean freak. I truly don’t like men touching me. Besides... I’m your professor. It would be very wrong for us to...” Lu Yurou murmured.
Xiao Yi had no interest in wasting more words on her and spoke bluntly.
“This is the last opportunity I’ll give you. If you agree, I’ll take you away now. If you refuse, I will never come looking for you again.”
After speaking, Xiao Yi stared at Lu Yurou coldly.
“Then could you spend more time talking with me? After all, there aren’t any feelings between us...”
The strong-willed professor finally lowered her proud head.
She had been trapped here alone for far too long.
More than anything else, she needed another person to care about her and keep her company.
The loneliness and confinement made her feel that death would be better than living like this.
Xiao Yi understood some of what she felt. He knew her psychological defenses were already on the verge of collapse.
He stepped closer and took her hand.
“Professor Lu, what difference is there between living here alone and being in prison? Even if you have food and water now, how long can you last? Six months? What happens after that? Are you going to spend the entire six months sitting alone in this room?”
The thought made Lu Yurou tremble, but she persisted.
“Perhaps someone will come rescue us soon!”
“Really? It’s been almost three months. Other than me, have you seen anyone come to save you?”
Xiao Yi’s voice was cold.
“Even if someone does come, can you be certain they won’t have malicious intentions? If you follow me, I will be the only one who can possess you. You’ll be safe, and you’ll be free to live with the other women at my shelter. If someone else captures you, you might not even have the right to choose. You’ll simply become their plaything.”
“This is the last chance I’m giving you. My time is valuable, and I don’t intend to waste it arguing with you. I’ll give you three more minutes. Think carefully.”
After speaking, Xiao Yi turned toward the door and ignored Lu Yurou.
He knew that if he were willing to set aside his intentions and keep her company, he could probably win her heart.
But Xiao Yi had no interest in doing that.
Lu Yurou was an exceptional woman, both in appearance and character.
Even so, this was the limit of his patience.
No matter how outstanding a woman was, she was still only a plaything in his eyes.
“I accept!”
Just as Xiao Yi turned to leave, Lu Yurou finally gathered all her courage and shouted those words.
Xiao Yi looked back, mildly surprised. He had expected her to refuse him again.
Unexpectedly, Lu Yurou had finally agreed.
She walked into the bedroom and looked back at him through her tears.
“Come on...”
The corner of Xiao Yi’s mouth rose in a wicked smile. He stepped forward and took her hand.
“I don’t need you right now. Come back with me first. When I’m interested, I’ll find you.”
Her obvious reluctance displeased him. Besides, he had no intention of completing something this interesting here.
Once he cleared the university, he planned to bring the women from the City of Sin to the classroom where Lu Yurou had once taught them and stage an exciting role-play session.
He would recapture the feeling from those days and fulfill the fantasy he had only dared entertain in secret.
“Thank you...” Lu Yurou said, at a loss.
She let out a long breath, believing that Xiao Yi’s conscience had awakened and that he had shown her mercy. She looked at him gratefully.
“I knew you weren’t that kind of person. I knew you were a good man...”
Xiao Yi laughed inwardly.
“In a few days, you’ll know exactly what kind of man I am.”
When the other survivors saw Xiao Yi load Lu Yurou into the armored vehicle, they began shouting and pleading with him.
One male teacher in the faculty dormitory even cried out desperately.
“Friend! Save us! My wife is attractive too, and she’s incredibly skilled! Please save us! We’re almost out of food!”
Xiao Yi raised his head and pointed to the zombies around them.
“If you’re out of food, come outside and find some yourselves. Can’t you see that none of the zombies around us are attacking? The zombies have changed. They don’t attack people anymore. It’s safe to come out.”
After speaking, Xiao Yi sneered, climbed into the armored vehicle, and drove away.
The survivors in the dormitory fell silent.
Perhaps the zombies had not dared attack that man because there was something special about him.
But now they were not attacking Professor Lu either. How could that be explained?
Had the zombies really changed?
Had they stopped attacking humans?
The male teacher suddenly found a tremendous surge of courage. Carrying a kitchen knife, he slowly walked toward the door...
