Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 588: Accuracy Needs Improvement

From afar, the Dragonkind spotted the undead black mist.

“Found it. According to the instructions, Lin Moyu is there.”

“What’s he doing? Why has everything turned black?”

The entire area surrounding Lin Moyu had transformed into a realm of darkness.

The undead black mist blanketed the land and sky, occasionally lit by flickers of white fire—the flames of the undead.

The Dragonkind approached cautiously, unease tightening their chests.

“Wait… what is that?”

When they were still nearly a thousand meters away, the black mist began to churn violently.

From its depths rose silvery-white flames, and within them, a massive gate slowly took shape.

The sight froze the Dragonkind in midair.

The gate burned with ghostly flames, and at its center, an Undead Eye emerged.

It was pure white—no pupil, only cold silver-white fire.

No matter the angle, the eye seemed to gaze straight into one’s soul.

The Undead Eye swept the land, its gaze carrying the weight of judgment.

In an instant, the Dragonkind dropped from the sky, crashing heavily to the ground below.

“They’re… dead.”

Lin Moyu watched in silence.

Undead Gaze carried a soul attack, incinerating souls in an instant.

Unlike Soul Blaze, there was no pain, only instant death.

These Dragonkind had all surpassed level 80, equivalent to peak-level human class users, yet they were annihilated in a flash.

The skill’s power was overwhelming, far beyond Lin Moyu’s expectations.

“By my estimation, unless one possesses a special equipment or skill, even a peak-level 80-plus class user would die instantly.”

“The power scales with the skill’s level and the soul’s strength. The skill is only level 70 but my soul’s strength is already comparable to the God-level. That alone amplifies it beyond reason.”

Lin Moyu had gained a general understanding.

The Undead Gaze skill was far stronger than anticipated. The experiment was a great success, leaving him satisfied.

The burning gate remained suspended in the air, sustained by his will. It would last about ten minutes unless he dismissed it himself.

Lin Moyu turned his focus to grinding the third skill.

Skill: Bone Spear!

[Bone Spear (level 1): releases a Bone Spear to attack the enemy, causing physical damage. The spears possess powerful piercing power, and its might scales with the skill’s level and the spirit force attribute.]

With a light tap of his finger, a white spear shot forth, slicing through the air and vanishing into the horizon.

“So fast…” Lin Moyu muttered.

The Bone Spear’s speed was astonishing. Within a single second, it had flown over ten thousand meters.

Dodging such an attack would be nearly impossible.

The faster the speed, the greater the impact and the penetration.

If the skill’s level rose, its speed and power would surely grow further.

After several tests, Lin Moyu grasped the essence of the skill: speed, viciousness, and accuracy.

Unlike the area-focused Bone Fangs, Bone Spear was a single-target strike, designed to shatter defenses and pierce through barriers, formations, and Mage shields alike.

Bone Spears whistled through the air one after another, each accompanied by a sharp rush of wind.

Lin Moyu dual-casted with both hands, unleashed the skill five times per second.

With Comprehensive Link sustaining his spirit force, he didn’t worry about consumption.

While grinding Bone Spear, Lin Moyu reviewed his bone-type skills.

Bone Armor provided defense, Bone Prison offered control, Bone Fangs handled area attacks, while Bone Spear provided single-target offense.

These four formed a complete, balanced chain covering offense, defense, and control.

Beyond bone-type skills, he also possessed summon, soul, curse, and other specialized skill lines—together forming overwhelming power.

As Bone Spear leveled up, its form evolved.

The spear grew thicker and longer, and at level 40, spiral ridges appeared along its surface.

These ridges made the spear rotate rapidly during flight, further boosting its penetration and granting devastating tearing force.

Its speed also increased with each level.

Lin Moyu estimated that by level 70, Bone Spear’s speed might exceed 20,000 meters per second, fast enough that no one within a thousand meters, aside from God-level beings, could hope to dodge it.

At that speed, an enemy would be torn instantly.

Yet opportunities for Lin Moyu to act personally had become rare, so the skill wouldn’t see much use.

Lin Moyu was eager to test it, but there were no targets.

Then he noticed a meteor streaking across the sky. It was extremely fast, several thousand meters per second, but still far slower than Bone Spear.

Amused, he aimed his hand like a pistol and fired at the blazing trail overhead.

Bone Spears burst out one after another, ripping through the air as they chased the falling meteor.

The meteor was small, barely the size of a fist in Lin Moyu’s view, making it difficult to hit.

But Lin Moyu treated it like a game, firing repeatedly as he tracked it.

Quietly, the skill’s level proceeded to rise.

After thousands of misses, one Bone Spear finally struck true.

A massive explosion blossomed in midair, forming a mushroom cloud.

The elements burst in the sky, releasing multicolored light.

With sharp eyesight, Lin Moyu noticed something falling from the explosion. It landed not far away.

He rushed over and found it on the desert-like ground—a fist-sized crystal shimmering with mixed colors, as if filled with impurities.

Within it Lin Moyu sensed the wind, water, lightning, fire elements.

He cast Detection, which he hadn’t used in some time.

[Star Crystal: an item formed by the God of Stars’s divine force. It contains the God of Stars’s power.]

Lin Moyu had never heard that name.

The God of Stars didn’t appear in any records he’d read.

That meant they were either extremely low-profile or extremely weak.

But even low-tier Gods like the Fire God and the Water God, they were well documented.

Lin Moyu had a hunch that the God of Stars was a low-profile God.

But, why had their divine force appear here?

Meteors continued to rain from the sky, each one detonating with violent force.

After countless years of this unrelenting bombardment, the Meteorfall Continent had long since been reduced to a barren wasteland.

Only monsters of at least boss rank—most of them world rank bosses—could survive in such a place.

“Could this be the true nature of the meteors? Are the meteors that have been pelting the continent all these years actually the God of Stars’s divine force?”

Star Crystal in hand, Lin Moyu stared into the heavens, puzzled.

“Let’s try hitting another one.”

He fired Bone Spears at another meteor.

Just then, familiar auras approached. More Dragonkind were coming.

Though they were still thousands of meters away, Bone Spears were already flying toward them.

Lin Moyu shifted his aim, using the newcomers as test subjects.

The Dragonkind Battle Generals had only just spotted his silhouette when a flash of white light cut across their vision.

A deafening bang followed as one of them burst into a cloud of bloody mist.

“What was that!?”

“I don’t know, I couldn’t see clearly!”

Then, more beams of white light followed, and the remaining Dragonkind Battle Generals scrambled to evade.

Lin Moyu dual-custed, firing Bone Spears continuously.

He looked like a child shooting at birds with a slingshot.

But at several thousand meters, even he struggled with accuracy.

“If they were within a thousand meters, they wouldn’t be able to dodge at all.” Lin Moyu muttered, switching skills.

The sky dimmed abruptly. The undead world unfolded overhead, and a massive gate wreathed in silver-white flames appeared.

The gate opened, revealing a pure white eye.

The desperately dodging Dragonkind Battle Generals shuddered, then dropped like stones, their souls wiped out in an instant.

Though their bodies showed no wounds, they were utterly dead, beyond any hope of resurrection.

Lin Moyu, unfazed, simply resumed firing Bone Spears at the falling meteors.
