The massive, crimson coils of the Red Calamity Draconic Serpent writhed slowly over the edge of the central platform, its impossibly thick scales scraping against the ground with a sound like grinding tectonic plates. Every minor shift of its multi-million-ton frame sent localized tremors rippling through the metallic city grid, forcing the heavy steel support cables to groan under the sheer load.

Terrence stood right at the edge of the fracture line, his boots planted firmly onto the vibrating metal plates, his obsidian-hued jacket fluttering wildly in the volatile mana winds.

"The cables are already nearing their structural limits," Terrence calculated silently, his sharp gaze tracing the massive steel lines penetrating deep into the cliff face. "If we hit it with heavy attacks, the recoil alone will shear Hanging City completely off its anchors. But, if we can at least make it turn around and face that giant rift below, we are at least half to our goal."

Winter Lin stood beside him, her S-Rank Vampire Butler poised silently behind her shoulder, its dark crimson eyes locking onto the colossal beast with cold, combat readiness.

Behind them, Ulyssia and the Barren Slum refugees held their ground, their newly purchased, highly docile mutated beasts humming with elemental energy, waiting for Terrence’s signal.

"Usaff, now! Blind its senses!" Terrence commanded sharply.

Usaff nodded vigorously, commanding his Mutated Lightning Azure-lined Frog. The bright green, blue-striped frog launched itself high above the crumbling structures in an incredibly fast, lightning-infused blur.

Mid-air, it puffed its wide throat and unleashed a blinding volley of high-frequency, crackling Lightning flashes directly into the serpent’s massive, slit-pupil eyes. The colossal Calamity shrieked, a deafening, wood-rending sound that vibrated the air as it thrashed its giant head blindly.

"Everyone, lay the bog!" Ulyssia barked, her voice echoing with commanding authority.

Operating with the minute-made discipline of some-what trained soldiers, her friends commanded their Mutated Spiky Slimes and Gravity-Acid Frogs. A massive cascade of high-density adhesive mud and localized gravity-acid pools flooded the plaza floor, attempting to bog down its lower coils.

However, the agonizing blinding light drove the titan into a frenzy before the adhesives could fully set.

Enraged, the Calamity opened its cavernous maw and unleashed a localized shockwave of pure, pressurized heat. The scorching blast ripped across the wide area, instantly evaporating the adhesive mud into harmless steam.

A part of its long body slammed straight into the floor’s main support, snapping three massive steel cables with a deafening screech that sent the entire eastern platform plunging six inches into the terrifying tilt.

People remaining on the platform screamed as a part of their soul felt falling to the deepest part of the cracked earth surface. The sudden shift threw the tamers’ balance, scattering their formation.

"Hold the line! Re-anchor!" Terrence yelled, his eyes narrowing as he adjusted his posture against the severe slope.

Winter’s eyes flashed with icy resolve amidst the chaos. She gestured sharply to her S-Rank Vampire Butler, who stepped smoothly to the slipping edge. With a fluid flick of its pale wrists, the vampire materialized thousands of razor-thin, high-density blood threads, weaving them into a massive, shimmering red web. The threads wrapped tightly around the serpent’s thrashing throat and torso, binding its colossal weight directly to the deep-seated steel girders of the cliff wall to counteract the platform’s collapse.

The titan roared in fury, its raw strength stretching the blood threads to their absolute limits, causing them to hum with a high-pitched vibration as they began to snap one by one under the strain.

"Terrence, the threads won’t hold its tirade for long!" Winter warned, sweat beads tracing down her pale cheeks.

"I’ve got the slide ready—we’re shifting its balance now!" Terrence shouted, stepping to the very brink of the yawning chasm. He reached deep into his System, calling upon his legendary tames.

In a brilliant flash of azure light, Avery, the SS-Rank Sky Dragon, appeared beside him. Although still in its chubby, toddler-like stage, the dragon hovered with absolute, majestic confidence, its leathery wings flapping steadily in the humid abyss.

"Avery! Freeze the fissure!" Terrence commanded.

Avery bloated its cheeks, taking a deep breath of the raw mana filling the air. It unleashed a wave of freezing-cold wind straight down the vertical rock walls of the earth suface crack. The damp mist instantly crystallized, coating the steep stone drop in a mirror-slick sheet of solid ice.

With the chute prepared, Terrence immediately re-established coordination with the militia to reshift the serpent’s momentum toward the abyss.

"Usaff, hit its left flank! Force its head right!" Terrence ordered.

Usaff’s frog discharged a focused bolt of electric arc against the monster’s left jaw, forcing the thrashing titan to instinctively recoil toward the icy edge. Simultaneously, Terrence initiated a close connection with his dragon.

A colossal, semi-translucent dragon claw materialized in the sky directly above the crimson serpent’s head, crackling with raw, gravity-manipulating power. Terrence clenched his fist, and the localized gravity around the kilometer-long titan suddenly multiplied tenfold.

The sudden weight increase, combined with the momentum from Usaff’s directional strike, proved too much for the serpent to maintain its footing.

"Now! Barrage it with attacks! Do not open a path except back to its rift!"

With the combined attacks of all beasts, different colors, hue-dancing in the air, volatile surge of energy pushed the Calamity closer to the rift.

Despite its huge body, it couldn’t provide a proper counter-attack except earlier with just its body slamming into the platforms.

With a final, echoing shriek of pure defeat, the Red Calamity Draconic Serpent slid down the frictionless slide, plunging straight back into the deep, dark depths of the Nexus rift.

Winter didn’t waste a single second. She ordered her Vampire Butler to seal the glowing fracture permanently with a dense, interlocking lattice of blood threads, stabilizing the local mana fluctuations and closing the gateway.

The catastrophic vibrations ceased. The remaining steel support cables slowly settled, and a breathless, stunned silence fell over the entire Hanging City.

Suddenly, a brilliant cascade of golden system windows flooded Terrence’s vision, accompanied by a crisp, mechanical chime.

Terrence let out a long, ragged exhale of pure satisfaction. Looking at the awe-stricken faces of Winter, Ulyssia, and the surrounding tamers.
