El’s tone shifted. "Actually," he said, "this could be considered a good thing."

"How could this possibly be a good thing?" one of the players asked.

They were practically dying of jealousy over here.

El shot the man a disdainful look. "Idiot. Haven’t you all been looking for the person who can create Special Items? If these two incidents were the work of the same person, then you don’t have to search anymore. She’s already revealed herself."

"What you need to do now is take the initiative and form a partnership with her. Don’t let anyone else beat you to it."

After El finished speaking, someone asked in confusion, "Why a partnership? Wouldn’t it be better to just recruit her directly?"

"If this person could be easily recruited, the situation wouldn’t be what it is now. The fact that she dares to act this way means she’s well-prepared, so you’d best approach her with a gentler attitude."

The others nodded in silence.

"Oh, right. I heard another guild popped up recently," El said, changing the subject.

"Yes, there is one. I think it’s called the Cathayan Guild. They got lucky somehow and managed to get their hands on a guild token."

"Guild tokens have a chance of dropping from a BOSS, but they can also be issued by The Lord’s Keep."

But a guild token from The Lord’s Keep has always been the stuff of legends, as no one has ever actually managed to get a Token from the City Lord’s hands.

"This Cathayan Guild is strange, too. None of their members, including the leader, are high-level. They’ve also rejected all applications from other players. It seems they’re all from the same race."

"More and more players will be entering *Divine Soul* in the future, and your competition will only grow. That mysterious person is an opportunity. You’d best not let her get pulled over to the side of The Royals or the pirates. Otherwise, the consequences will be dire.

Needless to say about the pirates, but that bunch from The Royals has always wanted to get the military back under their control.

After all, without an army, they’re little more than mascots. Only with military power can they truly be The Royals who stand second to one and above all others.

...

「Meanwhile, elsewhere.」

Moira Lynch weaved through the forest and finally found a swarm of level-twenty Bee Monsters.

The monsters’ level was perfect for Moira, but there was one problem: a level-thirty Queen Bee BOSS was among them.

To be safe, Moira decided to target the Bee Monsters that had strayed from the main swarm.

After all, every level she had gained was the result of painstakingly grinding out experience, point by point. If she died carelessly, all that effort would go down the drain.

Just then, from behind Moira Lynch, an arrow was silently aimed at her.

With the SWOOSH of something Breaking Sky, Moira felt a sharp pain in her butt.

She turned to see an arrow sticking out of her butt. The commotion had also scared away the lone Bee Monster.

But right now, Moira couldn’t be bothered with the Bee Monster.

She yanked the arrow out of her butt and glanced at her health bar, which had dropped by more than half. ’I should be thankful my attacker’s level isn’t high and they just used a normal arrow,’ she thought. ’Otherwise, my health wouldn’t be halved, it’d be zeroed out.’

Moira turned and looked at the culprit, who was standing on a tree branch not far away.

The other person looked just as shocked to see Moira turn around, apparently not having realized his "prey" was actually a player.

’This is the first time I’ve seen a player in a rabbit suit out in the wild. Is it a new costume set?’

Redcloud jumped down from the tree, an apologetic look on his face. "Sorry about that! I thought you were a rare, giant Killer Rabbit."

Hearing this, Moira glanced down at her own outfit.

She was wearing a full-body rabbit onesie, with a rabbit-shaped Magic Wand on her back. It was a pretty close match.

"Seriously? What kind of rabbit carries a carrot this big on its back?"

Redcloud fell silent for a moment, then pulled up a picture he had saved of a giant Killer Rabbit.

’Okay, so maybe it’s not a perfect match,’ she thought, ’but the view from behind is identical. Even the angle of the carrot is the same. No wonder he got it wrong.’

"Whatever, I forgive you," Moira said. "Just try to keep your eyes peeled next time. Don’t be so careless."

She then cast a Healing Skill on herself, restoring the half a health bar she had lost.

Seeing her use a Healing Skill, Redcloud’s eyes lit up. "You’re a Healer?"

Moira didn’t understand why he was so excited, but answered truthfully, "I’m a Mage."

"If you’re a Mage, how can you know a Healing Skill?"

Redcloud had an expression on his face that clearly said, ’Don’t try to fool me.’

"It’s an innate Healing Skill," Moira explained.

The game *Divine Soul* was able to perfectly replicate a player’s physical data, including their innate talents.

Hearing Moira’s explanation, Redcloud looked even more shocked. "You have a Healing Talent?"

"I guess so."

"With a Healing Talent, why would you pick the Mage class? Most people with a Healing Talent choose Priest to maximize their strengths." ’This is the first time I’ve seen a Mage with a Healing Talent,’ he thought.

Moira shrugged. ’It’s not like I chose this class, and I didn’t even know about that until now.’

’Besides, to be honest, I’d much rather be a Mage than a Priest anyway.’

"I’m Redcloud. Want to team up to grind mobs and level? I get hurt way too easily on my own. Even though you’re a Mage, you have a Healing Skill. That makes you half a healer, at least."

’Most importantly,’ he thought, ’an innate healing skill like that has no cooldown! How often you can use it in a real fight just depends on your spiritual power. That’s better than a hundred regular healing abilities!’

Moira thought for a moment and agreed to Redcloud’s proposal.

Only after they’d successfully partied up did Moira realize the monster Redcloud wanted to hunt was the Queen Bee in the hive she had just found.

The Queen Bee was incredibly ferocious, and its body was several times larger than a normal Bee Monster.

Most importantly, to kill the Queen Bee, you first had to get through her swarms of frantic subjects.

"So what’s your plan?" Moira asked.

Redcloud whispered, "I know a type of grass nearby called ’Cat’s Hiding.’ The Queen Bee controls her swarm by scent. If we burn some Cat’s Hiding, the thick smoke it gives off will make her temporarily lose control. When that happens, I’ll charge in. You just stay on the sidelines and heal me. You can also take a few potshots if you get the chance."

"Deal." ’The job sounds simple enough,’ Moira thought. ’It’s just healing. I’m good at that.’

Seeing her confident expression, Redcloud felt the need to add a warning. "You have to make sure you aim carefully before you cast. I’ve partied with a few Priests before, and it’s like their eyes were just for show. They’d use their skills, but not a single heal would actually land on me."
