Two silver chains crossed over each other, looking like a seal binding the silver longsword to the badge.

[Name: Blessing Badge

Status: Fully Awakened

Holder: Moira Lynch

Blessing Acquired: Luck Boost. Greatly increases luck for a short period.

Effective Duration: Three days and ten hours.]

After checking the badge’s status, a look of realization flashed across Moira Lynch’s eyes.

Just as she’d suspected, she was right.

What she’d seen before hadn’t been the Blessing Badge’s true form. This was.

’It seems it can also change form.’

With a mere thought from Moira Lynch, the Blessing Badge on her chest transformed into a streak of white light and flew around to her back.

Moira Lynch felt something appear on her back.

She took a mirror out of her storage space and took a look.

’Whoa, what a huge pair of wings... no, wait, it’s a bow.’

’No, that’s not right either. It’s a wing-shaped bow.’

"Isn’t this a little too conspicuous?" Moira Lynch murmured, looking at her reflection.

She reached back to take the bow off, but it refused to budge.

’As expected of a legendary item,’ she thought. ’Even a fragment of one can communicate with its wielder.’

Since it didn’t want to come off, Moira Lynch had to give up. In any case, it wasn’t too ugly, just that a white bow against her black hair was a bit jarring.

As if sensing Moira Lynch’s thoughts, the Blessing Badge—now in her hair—shifted, and the white wings turned black.

From a distance, it just looked like Moira Lynch had a particularly unique hairstyle.

She put the mirror back into her storage space. Moira Lynch’s eyelids felt heavier and heavier, and just as she was about to drift off to sleep, the system’s mechanical voice suddenly rang in her ears.

[Congratulations to player SoySauceDrunkard for being the first to fully awaken the Blessing Badge. Submit the badge now to complete the game mission, exit the game, and receive a reward of 200,000 Gold Coins. Do you wish to submit?]

Two buttons immediately appeared before Moira Lynch: one "Yes" and one "No."

’If it weren’t for Ellers’s warning, I would’ve definitely chosen to submit without a second thought,’ Moira thought.

’Complete the mission and score 200,000 Gold Coins for free?’

’After all, up until now, player rewards had almost always been silver coins. Very few people ever got Gold Coins. Since when was the system this generous?’

’If Ellers hadn’t warned her, she might have actually thought this was some special bonus from a hidden dungeon.’

[Player, do not hesitate. Please make your choice immediately.]

Hearing the system’s hurried prompt, Moira Lynch unhesitatingly hit "No." ’There was no way she was foolish enough to hand over the Blessing Badge.’

’Besides, trading a fully awakened Blessing Badge for a mere 200,000 Gold Coins? What a pipe dream.’

After Moira Lynch’s refusal, the system’s voice rang out once more.

[As player SoySauceDrunkard has chosen this method to clear the game, the game timer will now be extended until your current faction retreats.]

For some reason, Moira Lynch felt a distinct tone of flustered anger in that message.

However... ’the system doesn’t actually think this is a punishment, does it?’

In fact, Moira Lynch had already asked Snow when they were planning to leave.

After all, they were here to find Ellers and rescue survivors. Rescue missions were a race against time; if they took too long, some of the wounded wouldn’t be able to hold out for help.

Therefore, Snow and his team’s original plan was to stay for ten days—assuming they found Ellers, of course.

But with Moira Lynch’s help, their mission had instantly become much easier.

They had found Ellers, and he was alive and kicking, clearly uninjured. With that worry off their minds, they could focus all their efforts on searching for other survivors.

In the last few days, they had already scoured every possible location. They would be able to wrap up the mission by the end of tomorrow.

’In other words, by the end of tomorrow, I can still complete the mission and go home.’

Realizing the game would be over in just one more day, Moira Lynch decided she couldn’t just wait around any longer.

’There’s still so much Mecha and spaceship wreckage on this battlefield waiting for me to collect. I can’t let it go to waste.’

’And then there’s Ellers. He probably thinks I haven’t noticed him secretly observing me all this time.’

’Observing my preferences, my behavior, my physical condition... and he even asks me if I’m tired from time to time.’

’If I hadn’t seen the title of his notebook, with those four big words—*Pureblood Human Observation Notes*—staring me in the face, I might’ve actually thought Ellers fell for me at first sight.’

’Thankfully, Ellers doesn’t seem to have any ill intentions. Otherwise, I would’ve been long gone.’

’Why else would I possibly stick around?’

The next day, Moira Lynch woke up early.

After a full night’s rest, she felt completely restored.

When she saw Snow and his team preparing to head out to look for survivors, Moira Lynch volunteered to go with them.

Hearing this, Snow looked hesitant.

Although the battle here was over, the area had still been a battlefield.

If anything happened to her, they would never forgive themselves.

Seemingly sensing his concern, Moira Lynch patted her chest and assured them, "Don’t worry, I can protect myself."

To prove her point, Moira Lynch summoned the Black Wolf.

Snow and the others stared wide-eyed at the majestic Black Wolf.

"That’s... a Battle Wolf!"

Snow was the first to recognize it, but he quickly realized something was off. "Aren’t Battle Wolves supposed to be white? Why is this one black?"

"It’s a mutated Battle Wolf! An ultra-rare variant with a one-in-a-hundred-thousand chance of appearing," Ellers exclaimed, his eyes practically glowing as he stared at the Black Wolf.

"Legend has it that mutated Battle Wolves are even more formidable than regular ones. Ostracized from birth, they’re forced to hone their skills just to survive. A single mutated wolf can accomplish tasks that would require an entire pack of normal Battle Wolves working together."

"They are the very definition of true power."

"Um, Moira Lynch, could I possibly draw a vial of blood from the Battle Wolf? Just a tiny bit, I promise! I absolutely won’t hurt it," Ellers pleaded.

He held up two fingers, pinching them close together to show how little he needed, his eyes filled with hopeful anticipation.

"That’s not my decision to make," Moira Lynch replied. "I’ll have to ask him first."

Hearing this, Ellers didn’t think she was just making an excuse. On the contrary, it seemed perfectly normal. Battle Wolves were, after all, incredibly proud creatures. A typical Battle Wolf would submit to no one but the Wolf King.

A black, mutated Battle Wolf was a lone wolf from birth, bowing not even to the Wolf King.

If not for the fact that Battle Wolf packs would never accept a black Wolf King, the first thing a mutated Battle Wolf would do upon reaching maturity would be to challenge the current one.

"Then please, take your time discussing it," Ellers said. "I’m in no rush."
