Seeing this, Moira Lynch tried to pull the man out of the operation pod, but he was wedged in too tightly.

No matter how hard she pulled, she couldn’t get the man out. In fact, her efforts were only causing further injury.

"That’s not going to work. He’s wedged in too tight," Ellers pointed out.

At this, Moira Lynch took a deep breath. "In that case, I’ll have to try a wild method."

"A wild method?"

At first, Ellers didn’t understand what Moira Lynch meant.

He watched as Moira Lynch first gave the wounded man’s injuries a simple dressing, fed him a little water and food, and finally, cut open his pant leg with a pair of scissors.

So far, everything seemed normal.

That is, until Moira Lynch took out a bottle of clear Medicine and sprinkled it on the man’s wound.

As a genius researcher, he had dabbled in various fields to better facilitate his own studies, and that naturally included botany and pharmacology.

So, when he saw what Moira Lynch had produced, he recognized it at a glance, even without an explanation.

"An anesthetic Medicine... What are you planning to do?"

Ellers’s first reaction was a jolt of alarm. ’Is Moira Lynch actually planning on amputating this man’s leg right here?’

’It wasn’t impossible, but the conditions here were awful. The wound could easily get infected.’

Clearly, Ellers had subconsciously forgotten Moira Lynch’s freakishly powerful healing ability—the very ability that had snatched him from the hands of the Lord of Hell.

Or perhaps he hadn’t forgotten. This man wore a different uniform from him, which meant he wasn’t on Ellers’s side.

’On the battlefield, anyone not on your side was considered the enemy.’

’If Moira Lynch hadn’t been here, Ellers might have already delivered the finishing blow.’

Just as Ellers was debating whether to offer his help—he had, after all, audited a few medical classes in school—

before he could get a word out, he witnessed a horrifying scene.

A massive machete had appeared in Moira Lynch’s hand out of nowhere.

The machete gleamed with a faint silver light. In one swift motion, she brought it down, and blood sprayed everywhere.

Moira Lynch’s hands were trembling. It was the first time she had ever done something like this.

She kept repeating to herself, ’I’m saving a life. I’m saving a life!’

Because of the anesthetic, the injured man felt no pain, even as it happened.

However, due to the massive blood loss from the wound, his already pale face grew even whiter.

Taking a deep breath, she summoned the Priest’s Staff to her hand.

The staff emitted a faint green light, which staunched the bleeding from the wound.

After doing all this, Moira Lynch reached into the operation pod and, from a different angle, pulled out the severed leg.

Before Ellers’s shocked and horrified eyes, Moira Lynch placed the severed leg back against the stump.

With the healing from the Priest’s Staff, assisted by the nearby Healing Device, the severed leg actually fused back together.

’Wait a minute, can a Healing Talent even be used like that?’

Moira Lynch’s actions completely upended everything Ellers thought he knew about the Healing System.

’Even though Moira Lynch had said she would try a "wild method," he never imagined it would be *this* wild.’

’This was a little *too* wild.’

’If any of the galaxy’s medical experts saw this, they would probably pass out again and again.’

"Alright, let’s go," Moira Lynch said.

Her job was to save people. The rest was none of her business.

When Moira Lynch’s gaze fell on him, Ellers subconsciously took a few steps back.

’She looks so delicate and frail, so how can her personality be so... Then again, are all pure humans like this?’

Seeing Ellers’s reaction, Moira knew her actions had frightened him. ’But what else could I have done?’ she thought. ’I was scared too, you know! My hands are still shaking.’

"That was the fastest way," Moira Lynch explained.

Although shocked by what he had just witnessed, Ellers had to admit that Moira Lynch was right.

Besides, she hadn’t just abandoned the man after severing his limb; she had reattached it in the end.

Still, he advised her, "You should try not to use that method too often in the future." ’It’s too terrifying,’ he thought.

Hearing this, Moira Lynch pursed her lips. ’As if I enjoyed doing that.’

’I was just trying to save his life!’

Just then, Moira Lynch noticed that the number "3" had appeared on the badge on her chest.

"What’s this about?" Moira Lynch asked, turning to Ellers.

Patience was still processing Ellers’s earlier questions and wasn’t available, so she had to ask someone else.

Ellers glanced at the badge and explained, "This badge is custom-made by the Crimson Alliance. The number on it displays how many people you’ve saved. The more people you save, the higher your standing within the Crimson Alliance."

Hearing this, Moira Lynch grew thoughtful. Although this "game" didn’t specify a quota, she had a feeling this number was important.

The game hadn’t specified an end time. Moira Lynch decided to set a small goal for herself: save ten people and get the number on her badge into double digits.

"By the way, how did you end up here all alone? Where are your teammates?" Ellers asked.

The Crimson Alliance was a neutral organization, so the warring factions weren’t supposed to initiate attacks against its members.

That said, most members of the Crimson Alliance had little ability to defend themselves, so they usually operated in groups.

He’d been so focused on building a rapport with her that he was only now realizing something was off.

"Teammates? I don’t know where they are."

Logically, she should have had teammates, but she’d been alone from the moment she was Teleported here. She hadn’t seen a single trace of these so-called teammates.

This battlefield was enormous; even if Moira Lynch fully extended her spiritual power, she couldn’t cover the entire area.

Even with her excellent stamina, Moira Lynch was starting to feel the strain.

"You should rest if you’re tired," Ellers suggested.

Moira Lynch shook her head. "Not yet. There’s someone still alive up ahead. Let’s get to them first."

After walking for another ten minutes or so, they finally arrived at the location Moira Lynch had mentioned.

Ellers’s eyes widened as he watched Moira Lynch dig a barely breathing person out of the earth. "How did you know there was someone alive here?"

"Especially since they were buried! There was no sign of them from the surface."

Moira Lynch didn’t answer his question, focusing instead on treating the person’s wounds.

Despite being buried alive, this person’s injuries were lighter than the previous three; externally, there were only a few minor fractures.

The main reason they were on the verge of death was from being buried alive and suffocating.
