The players around them gradually dispersed. Seeing the two Sea Sprites about to leave, Moira Lynch immediately hurried after them and asked, "Excuse me, what’s going to happen to all this giant sugar cane?"

"It’ll be thrown away, of course. No one eats this stuff," one of the Sea Sprites said as if it were obvious.

Moira Lynch took out her badge. "I’m a Recycler. I can help you dispose of this giant sugar cane."

When the Sea Sprite checked Moira Lynch’s badge and confirmed it was genuine, their attitude changed instantly.

"Of course, that’s no problem." They then pointed to a treehouse warehouse not far away. "All the giant sugar cane to be recycled is put in there. You can go take it if you want. Also, there’s some other stuff inside. If you don’t mind, you can take that away too."

Having received an affirmative answer, Moira Lynch smiled and agreed.

However, she didn’t head to the warehouse right away. Instead, she found a relatively thin stalk of giant sugar cane.

With a swing of her axe...

CRACK! Juice splattered everywhere.

One drop flew right onto Moira Lynch’s face, seeping through a gap in her mask and into her mouth.

’So sweet!’ was Moira Lynch’s first thought. Immediately after, her brow furrowed.

As everyone knows, too much salt can be overwhelming, and the same is true for sugar.

At that moment, Moira Lynch felt as if someone was pouring a bag of white sugar straight into her mouth.

The sweetness was even more intense than the Sugar Grass she had collected on the back of the Isle Turtle—a diabetic’s absolute nightmare.

She took out her Water Storage Mushroom and gulped down two mouthfuls of water. Only then did the sweetness in her mouth subside, but her throat still felt uncomfortable.

She could hear the sound of others gulping down water all around her.

It seemed quite a few others had suffered the same fate.

Since she was wearing a mask, she had only ingested a little. The same couldn’t be said for the others.

Readjusting her mask, Moira Lynch got back to work.

After a Herculean effort, she finally managed to fell one stalk.

It was called giant sugar cane for a reason. It was the size of a tree, and if Moira Lynch hadn’t dodged quickly, she might have actually been crushed by it.

The moment it fell, a dozen or so robots suddenly ran over from all directions and worked together to carry the giant sugar cane away.

By noon, everyone was panting and utterly exhausted.

Even those with body-strengthening talents couldn’t take it anymore, their stomachs rumbling with hunger.

Just then, the two Sea Sprites returned, followed by a cart full of desserts.

"Good work, everyone. You can rest for two hours and have something to eat. After that, you’ll continue working."

Moira Lynch was given a portion of dessert, containing a piece of chocolate cake that looked like chocolate cake, and a piece of cream cake that looked like cream cake.

In addition, there were several other small snacks.

But without exception, everything was pure sugar.

After her earlier experience, the mere sight of sugar now made Moira Lynch’s teeth and throat ache.

Luckily, she always prepared food before entering the game.

She put the cakes and sweets into her inventory space, then took out a large portion of egg fried rice made with Qio Rice, which tasted just like normal egg fried rice.

After wolfing down the meal, she put the lunchbox away and casually wiped her mouth with her sleeve.

Seeing that the others were all lying down to rest, needing to use the full two hours to recover their stamina, Moira Lynch simply drank a stamina-recovery Medicine and was instantly back to full strength.

Taking advantage of the lunch break, she decided to go check out the warehouse.

Finding a hidden corner, Moira Lynch activated her Illusion Cloak’s Stealth Mode.

She successfully avoided everyone’s line of sight and arrived in front of the treehouse warehouse.

The door wasn’t locked.

Moira Lynch reached out and gave it a light push, and the door swung open.

The space inside the treehouse was unimaginably large.

Inside, the group of robots she had seen earlier was busy working methodically, arranging the stalks of giant sugar cane.

When one of the robots saw Moira Lynch enter, it scanned her.

[Recycler. No threat detected. Access granted.]

Moira Lynch first walked over to a pile of neatly arranged giant sugar cane.

A quick scan with her spiritual power revealed there were at least a thousand stalks here.

And there were dozens of other piles just like it.

Moira Lynch reached out her hand and stored all the giant sugar cane in her inventory space.

In an instant, the once-cramped warehouse became wide open.

The busy robots first looked bewildered, but after a moment, they all turned to stare at Moira Lynch in shock.

Moira Lynch paid the robots no mind. The two Sea Sprites had said that besides the giant sugar cane, there was other stuff in the warehouse that she could take as well.

’Since they’d made the offer, I certainly can’t be polite about it.’

Soon, Moira Lynch found what the Sea Sprites had mentioned.

She looked at the burlap sacks, each one thicker than a barrel and taller than a person.

She opened one and found it was filled with small white crystals.

[Special Sugar: A product refined from the juice of giant sugar cane. It has no flavor other than sweetness. Consuming too much at once will damage one’s taste buds.]

"It seems The Elven Race likes sweets, but they’re very particular about the flavor."

’It’s like chocolate; good chocolate tastes completely different from cheap chocolate.’

’Since you don’t like it, I’ll just take it all.’

A quick glance revealed that a massive amount of Special Sugar was piled up here.

After storing all the Special Sugar in her inventory, Moira Lynch checked the warehouse one last time to make sure she hadn’t missed anything before turning to leave.

Returning to the work area, Moira Lynch deactivated her Invisibility.

She checked the time. Only half an hour had passed.

Including the ten minutes she spent eating, she still had over an hour left to rest.

Moira Lynch took out a lollipop, put it in her mouth, and closed her eyes to rest as she ate it.

Before long, she suddenly felt something brush against her ear.

She opened her eyes to see a small cloud with eyes and a mouth floating in front of her.

Both of them were startled by each other.

"Candy?"

"Patience."

[Candy: A type of sprite that loves sweets. Like the Flower Sprite, it has no combat ability and is not recognized by The Elven Race. It often appears in places with large amounts of sweets. It was likely attracted by the lollipop in its master’s mouth.

After eating sweets, Candy can produce candy of a corresponding flavor inside its body, but its production efficiency is very low. It can produce roughly one hundred grams of candy for every five hundred grams of sweets consumed.]

’That production rate is indeed a bit low.’

Since the Candy had been attracted by her lollipop, Moira Lynch took out another one.

She unwrapped it and waved it in front of the Candy.

Seeing this, the Candy joyfully enveloped the lollipop and began to eat it with relish, a blissful smile appearing on its face.
