While waiting for Patience’s search results, the Black Wolf limped over. She looked at Moira with a complicated expression.

"AWOO."

How did you do that?

This wasn’t part of their original plan.

Seeing this, Moira explained, "This Shirley Blackwood was incredibly resilient. I was afraid our previous method wouldn’t be enough to kill her."

"AWOO?"

So what did you do?

"Nothing much. I just used Space Power to crush her heart."

At her words, the Black Wolf fell silent for a moment.

After a long moment, the Black Wolf suddenly knelt before Moira. "AWOO..."

As we agreed, I am willing to form a Subordinate Contract with you.

A white totem, with a wolf’s head depicted in the center, appeared above the Black Wolf’s head.

Seeing this, Moira reached out. A sharp pain pricked the back of her hand, and then the wolf head totem appeared there.

At the same time, Moira felt a faint connection form between her and the Black Wolf.

Once the contract was complete, the Black Wolf walked toward Shirley Blackwood’s corpse without even glancing at the object in Moira’s hand.

Moira stopped her.

"Wait, don’t you want this?" she asked, pointing to the stone in her hand.

The Black Wolf’s eyes filled with confusion. "AWOO?"

What are you talking about? The stone I’m looking for isn’t the same as that ugly rock in your hand.

Moira: ...

Just then, Moira sensed people approaching. The previous battle and the recent aurora must have drawn in other players.

Seeing this, Moira immediately pulled Shirley Blackwood’s body and the Black Wolf into her dimensional space. Before the others could arrive, she seized the opportunity to leave the troublesome area.

Before leaving, she didn’t forget to collect the Crystal Stones that had fallen during the fight.

By the time the others arrived, all they saw was a devastated battlefield, large patches of blood on the ground, and a fading aurora.

Everrise saw the scene and said to Redlight, who was beside him, "Captain, looks like a huge battle just happened here."

Redlight rolled his eyes. "You don’t have to tell me that."

Looking at the marks on the ground, it was clearly made by a behemoth.

While exploring the deserted island over the past few days, they had found other traces of a behemoth, but they never found out what it was.

Just then, Redlight discovered a tuft of black fur in the nearby grass.

Meanwhile, Moira found a hidden corner, canceled her Invisibility, and took off the bearskin.

The bearskin could now be considered a proper item.

She glanced at Patience; it was still searching. There were still no results for the information on that sphere.

She teleported into her dimensional space in a flash, and Shirley Blackwood’s enormous body appeared before her.

The Black Wolf was circling Shirley Blackwood, looking for a place to start tearing into it.

Aside from their size and color, the Crystal Stones on Shirley Blackwood’s body looked identical to the Wind God’s Fury Crystal Stone that Moira had picked up earlier.

Recalling the description of the Wind God’s Fury Crystal Stone, she figured these Crystal Stones likely had similar properties.

If that was the case, she would have to be careful.

She used her spiritual power to pull the Crystal Stones from Shirley Blackwood’s body.

The largest of these Crystal Stones was taller and wider than she was. They were all concentrated on Shirley Blackwood’s upper body.

The smallest were palm-sized and were clustered on its tail.

Moira took a count. The Crystal Stones on Shirley Blackwood’s body came in eight colors: gold, green, red, purple, yellow, blue, white, and cyan.

If these corresponded to elements, they would be the eight elements: metal, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, lightning, and ice.

While pulling them out, Moira discovered that at least half of each Crystal Stone was embedded in Shirley Blackwood’s body.

After careful inspection, she determined the Crystal Stones hadn’t been pierced into the body from an external force, but had grown from within.

After observing a few more, Moira became even more certain of her suspicion.

The Crystal Stones had indeed grown from inside Shirley Blackwood’s body.

’Does that mean Shirley Blackwood can get stones? Humans get kidney stones, but this thing gets... full-body stones?’

For some reason, Moira’s thoughts turned to the irregular stone she had found in Shirley Blackwood’s heart.

She had since cleaned the stone and put it away in her storage.

Snowy’s attitude toward the stone was a mixture of greed and fear.

That’s right—both greedy and fearful.

She had originally planned to store these Crystal Stones together with the cold rock, but on second thought, she decided against it.

Looking at the storage space filled to the brim with cold rock, she thought, ’This game is really holding me back.’

She sorted all the Crystal Stones by color and stored them separately.

Because Shirley Blackwood’s body was so enormous, Moira and the Black Wolf worked the entire night and only managed to harvest a tenth of the Crystal Stones.

Moira collected Shirley Blackwood’s blood, flesh, and scales into her medicine box.

After all, Patience itself had certified that every part of Shirley Blackwood was a treasure.

The Black Wolf trotted over, carrying several Crystal Stones in her mouth.

"AWOO."

Try putting these in, too.

Moira looked at the palm-sized Crystal Stones. There were eight of them, each a different color.

’Then again, aren’t wolves supposed to be colorblind? Not just wolves—most animals in the wild are.’

’But this isn’t Caelus, so I guess I can’t judge by its standards.’

With that thought, Moira placed the eight Crystal Stones into the medicine box.

Useless items placed in the medicine box would remain unchanged, but useful items would disappear upon being deposited.

Moira was a little surprised to see the eight Crystal Stones disappear.

’They actually worked.’

’I just wonder what kind of Medicine it will produce.’

Moira couldn’t help but feel a surge of anticipation.

Although the only one of these Crystal Stones she knew anything about was the Wind God’s Fury, she was sure that such powerful materials would produce an equally extraordinary Medicine.

It wasn’t until the next morning that Moira finally left her dimensional space. She still hadn’t recovered from the previous day’s battle, and on top of that, Moon Wheel and the Calming Bell had just drained three-quarters of her spiritual power.

Even with the help of the Healing Device, the world was spinning. Moira felt like she couldn’t do anything.

She let the Black Wolf out to keep watch while she rested on the spot for about an hour before finally feeling better.

Once she felt better, she stood up and took a look around to get her bearings.

Just then, she heard the voice of Patience.

[System search complete.]

[Black Hole Core: The core of a black hole. It is an extremely dangerous object formed by constantly absorbing the chaotic forces within a black hole. It contains an immense and chaotic energy and is normally only found within black holes.]

"What happens if someone accidentally eats a Black Hole Core?" Moira asked.

[No creature has ever accidentally ingested a Black Hole Core.]
