Another World Mall
Chapter 1145: Spawned
"Why don’t we enter this tower together?"
Ezekiel and Michael were surprised. They looked at each other. Michael had been searching for clues about this world, while Ezekiel wasn’t that interested.
However, since they were already here, they could spend some time with the children. It should be fine.
They might also learn something new.
"Well..." Michael raised his eyebrows.
"I suppose that will be fine." Ezekiel nodded in agreement.
"That’s great." Clovis clapped his hands with a big smile.
In the end, Clovis was the one having the control of the conversation. He was also curious whether these two old men could actually see the system or not.
Nevertheless, Clovis led everyone inside. "Let’s go!"
As soon as they entered the tower, Clovis asked, "By the way, Grandpa. Have you ever entered a tower like this?"
"I did enter the Tower of the Lake." Michael nodded. "However, I did hear that when you entered this tower, there would be a barrier, right?"
"That’s true," confirmed Clovis. "You can hit it with your fist if you want."
Michael moved to the entrance and started to extend his hand, trying to feel the barrier. It looked like the same transparent barrier that covered the void.
"Hmm... interesting. Mind if I use my full power?"
"No one has been able to destroy the tower, so it should be fine."
"Oi. You are already so old. Why are you even getting excited about this?" Ezekiel rolled his eyes.
Their interactions had just proven that both of them didn’t have the system, or they would have activated the towers before.
"Hmph!" Michael snorted and gathered all his strength in his fist. "Then, let’s test it, shall we?!"
Michael’s movement wasn’t extremely fast. He took a firm step forward and struck the barrier with his fist.
Gigantic Impact.
The moment the punch was connected, the entire tower shook violently.
Bam!
"What?!" All of them were stunned. They thought they were already quite strong, but they realized they were still nowhere near Michael’s level. There was a reason when Ezekiel said he was the weakest among the Tier 9 humans.
They wondered if they attacked together. Would they have enough strength to make the entire tower shake like this?
"Hahahaha! So, this is the power of the barrier. It’s truly something to look forward to. I guess this is the same barrier that stops the void, ya?" Michael grinned.
"Most likely." Ezekiel nodded in agreement.
"Interesting, interesting." Michael cracked his fingers.
"Well, I think that’s enough for now, Grandpa. How about we go deeper?" Clovis asked.
"Right? We were supposed to check this tower. I couldn’t find anything in the Tower of the Lake, but it might be because I didn’t have diving equipment to take a better look at that tower before. Nevertheless, I wonder what we will find in this tower."
The team didn’t send an advance party to clear the tower like usual. Instead, a lot of them were willing to stay behind because they wanted to see Michael and Ezekiel, especially after Michael showed his strength.
They were curious about the power that Michael possessed.
Angelia was the most curious, considering her goal was to challenge and defeat a Tier 9 human.
She might not be able to do it yet, but she knew she would grow strong enough to do it in the future. In fact, she might become one herself.
After walking for a few minutes, they arrived at a small flat land in the middle of the tower.
"Hmm? This flatland..." Michael frowned.
"Look! Don’t these look like maps?" Ragna asked in excitement.
In this small space, there were multiple maps. Some maps looked like the Earth they knew about, while some maps looked unfamiliar.
"Wait a second." Melody frowned and immediately took a picture of these unknown maps. She then opened the maps from the agency that Silvia possessed.
This map was the world map of the underworld, and she found it. There was actually a match to one part of the maps. "As expected... These are the maps of Earth and the underworld."
"Then, what about these red dots?" Kanaria asked, pointing at the map.
Each map had multiple red dots that appeared and disappeared randomly.
"I’m not entirely sure. Can I perhaps access it or something?" Melody muttered, approaching the map. She touched it to see if she could see the information about the map.
To her surprise, another code was transferred directly into her mind. She hurriedly closed her eyes to figure out what was going on.
"Ah, this..." Melody gasped, realizing what the maps were all about. "I finally understand why this tower is known as the Tower of the Cycle."
Ezekiel and Michael were confused. This was the first time they had seen a tower like this, so they didn’t understand what she was talking about. The only thing they had seen was from the report or the video Clovis had shown, so watching it live felt weird. They didn’t even understand what Melody could see.
Michael had tried to touch it, but he didn’t see anything else.
"What is it, Melody?" Clovis asked.
"It means reproduction and all kinds of reproductions you can think of. When you think about it, how is the world still having so many beasts after we have hunted so many of them? When we didn’t venture into the unknown, it would feel like the beasts would continue to keep rushing toward our civilization, right?"
"That’s true." Clovis nodded. "Now that I think about it, did beasts reproduce? I have never seen beasts getting pregnant."
"Exactly!" Melody snapped her fingers. "Humans are controlled by their reproductions, but beasts are not. Instead, they’re being spawned."
"Spawned... you mean like..." Michael opened his fingers as though he was making a gesture of something popping out of nothing.
"Essentially. This world is a simulation, but it is actually similar to a game world. And considering this is a game world, it’s only natural for the world to spawn some ’monsters.’
"The characters in that game will hunt these ’monsters’ and get ’EXP,’ which I don’t think I should tell you what the EXP is."
Clovis narrowed his eyes. "The beast essence."
