Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 350 - Day MCCCLXXIII, Part I

Again, Will woke me up by knocking on the door. I couldn’t help but overslept. I was tired and couldn’t open my eyes at first, but the fatigue vanished after few seconds, and I was ready to go.

This meant that I needed to take a day off to sleep the exhaustion off. I could also use the device, but I kinda didn’t want to.

– Come in – I finally said to him, so he would stop pounding on that damn door.

– Get up you ugly bastard – he said after getting inside.

– Wow. Why so offensive this early in the morning?

– You are the opposite of sleeping beauty, and that’s a snoring ugly bastard. It’s not offensive, it’s true – he shrugged his shoulders.

– Said the guy who wants me to help him acquire a certain class…

– Did I say that to you? Oh, I’m very sorry. I meant somebody else. My mistake. Should I wake you up with a kiss, my princess?

– Put those lips of yours anywhere next to mine, and I’ll shove that bed into your ass – I pointed at the furniture.

– Uuu… Kinky – he said squinting his eyes.

I just shook my head, and shadow walked the hell out of there.

We met a bit later when I reunited with the whole crew at the city center after finishing my daily routine. I took them to the canyon, as usual, and went hunting some giants with Will.

We cleared the guards stationed before the entrance to the underground complex rather quickly.

– Damn, those things are tough – said Will, as we were about to enter the cave. – Whats deeper?

– Ice giant, fire giants, storm giants, and a pretty boy on top.

– How many?

– Hundreds… of thousands… of millions.

– Seriously? Cant, you answer the question?

– Ok. A couple of hundreds, happy now?

– Did I just agree to go through hell with you, by accepting that offer?

– Yep. So zip your mouth, and clench your buttcheeks. We are here for a ride.

He sighed, and briefly looked for a way out, then went inside. I waited to go second, and block his escape route.

As we got to the first chamber I immediately attacked, to make most of the giants busy fighting me, not him. Still, he got the attention of a few.

I tried to be as fast as possible with dealing with my trouble, to help him, but from the corner of my eye, I caught he was doing a decent job. For some reason, his blades had no problems cutting through the tough giant flesh or block their physical attacks.

I just knew that’s because of the strange boiling light covering all of them. He wasn’t even using that much force, since he wasn’t putting his muscles to work, and only controlling the weapons with the power of his mind or whatever.

The magic was working very well though, and he was forced to remain in constant motion, to avoid incoming shards of ice.

I just blasted my group with fire magic, unleashing a tornado of flames. It was quite successful combined with my powerful slashes.

We reunited after the battle. Will was panting a bit.

– You got pretty good about that magic shtick.

– It’s not a shtick. Magic is real – I responded while collecting the crystals, using ‘Telekinesis’.

Then I packed all of them into my vault.

– I know. I do magic in bed – he replied moving his eyebrows up and down.

– Nope, you don’t, and let’s go. We have more giants to meet.

He sighed but followed me to the ice chamber. Just like I did during my first time visiting that place, he couldn’t take his eyes of the statues in alcoves.

As he was admiring the art, I jumped to action, quickly cutting down few more ice giants. A quick glance told me that he wasn’t very keen on joining, so I had to bring the action to him, and lured my new friends closer to Will.

– Look, mom. I meet some friends.

[0)ᴠʟ – Let your mom give you a little advice – he replied while avoiding getting hit by a hammer, by jumping backward. – If somebody chases you with a hammer, they are not your friend.

– Wow, mom. You are so smart. Remind me why did father leave you?

– He didn’t leave. He just went to buy milk.

– He has been gone three years.

– Did you see any shops in our city? I’m sure he is still looking.

I couldn’t help but laugh, which almost ended badly as I barely avoided the incoming hammer. I needed to create some distance, and collect myself, which I did thanks to ‘Shadow walk’.

Will didn’t have those problems, but he also didn’t have a few dozens of monsters chasing him. He only had a couple.

I calmed myself down, and immediately created a bunch of firebirds, to thin the ranks of giants a bit. Chain explosions shook the entire room, cracking the ice walls.

– Stop you moron, I want to be able to breathe something! – Will yelled at me.

I just ignored him, although I also stopped using the magic, and just attacked in a more old-fashioned way, by cutting their legs off. It was easy to move around the cluster of giants, as I was like a grasshopper to them. They, on the other hand, didn’t have that much space.

Soon Will joined me, as he dealt with the lovely bunch that was chasing him. The flying blades attacked like very annoying mosquitos, as their controller kept the distance.

I had to give it to him, that whatever this boiling light was, it was very effective. Still, it took us few minutes to finish.

– Uff… That was something – I said after landing when I killed the last one.

– Can you not use the fire in closed spaces? Pretty please? – he asked, picking up few crystals himself, but he didn’t have any backpack to put them into. – Can you take mine too?

– You didn’t complain the first time – I said while taking the crystals from him, and putting them in the vault.

– That’s before I realized how hard to breathe it became.

– Details.

She shook his head and helped me collect the stones.. All of them landed in The Void, and we moved forward, to the staircase.
