906 T.D.o.N.B: The brawl
– You won – he told me immediately, then spat on the ground, before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. – That was a punch I couldn’t possibly produce myself. This means you are stronger. Your powers are much more versatile too. You didn’t even use this ability of yours to vanish and appear somewhere else.
– I’m not sure if I will be able to use it out there, so I decided to prepare myself without it – I informed him.
He nodded in response. Then the rest of my friends landed next to us, carried by Will’s telekinetic power.
– That was a hell of a fight. Much quicker than I anticipated – He said.
– I thought we caught up to you a little bit, but hell no – Nil confessed. – That last punch? Bruh! I’ve never seen something like that. You two fucked up what was left of that city over there.
As he said those words he pointed toward the direction we all originally came from. Back then there was an easily visible agglomeration, on the horizon, but now it was all part of the crater with no sign that anything ever existed in that place.
– That was definitely something – Hailwic agreed.
For some reason, I thought that Ki’rai was straight-up afraid of me. I only looked at her once, but the usual energy wasn’t there, and she was standing weirdly close to Martin like she was looking to hide behind him.
– Just so we have a good measurement. How much of your power you actually used, percentage-wise? – Hatta asked.
I shrugged my shoulders.
– At first, I used just the raw physical power with a bit of ‘Telekinesis’ to hold him in place. I also used the skill to fly. The last punch was a bit more… So I guess maybe 5%? – I said quite unsure how to even measure this.
– That was five percent? – Nobuo asked.
I couldn’t see his face, but I was quite sure that his eyes went really wide.
– Well… I have a lot of stuff I can tap into – I shrugged my shoulders.
– If it makes you feel better, I went around sixty percent of my strength – Druoag added.
– I guess we are going to have to try really hard to keep up – Will said.
– I’m going to take a rest. You should too – I said to the massive alien.
Then we left the rest. Making some space for them to train among themselves. On the way, I got an interesting idea, so I did crouch briefly, to touch the bloody spit on the ground. Then I used the ‘Gene-absorbtion’. It seemed like something worthy of doing.
Eventually, we stopped over fifty meters away, and I made two thrones out of void essence for us to sit down. I didn’t really need this rest, but Druoag did. He had to heal back up.
My friends formed two groups shortly after. One included Hailwic, Martin, and Will. The other Ki’rai, Hatta, Nil, and Nobuo.
They separated on two sides, so everybody would have a bit of space before they decided to start the fight.
Martin charged forward, with his girlfriend just behind, using him to block visuals on herself. Will took off, summoning a bazillion of swords.
At the same time, Ki’rai simply vanished. If not for all the telekinetic stuff, I probably would never notice that she actually was invisible, already running to flank the opposing team. Nil rushed forward, straight at Martin, while Nobuo only pulled out one blade. It was glowing from all the electrical discharges, then quickly jumped all over him.
Hatta slammed his staff into the ground, making the earth ahead of him break, just as it started raining swords. They all were glowing with white energy.
Nil leaped forward, trying to punch the metal colossus. He never made it close enough. He suddenly stopped midair, as Martin extended a hand towards him, freezing him into space with this strange, resonating sound. Then the morgenstern came from above, to slam sanders to the ground, but it also never reached the poor bastard.
All thanks to Hatta. The spell he used was really flashy. From underneath the ground, as it broke and shattered, splitting apart, reached out a hand made of magma which pushed Martin up in the air.
This happened when Hailwic was using his body as a ramp, to reach Nobuo at the backline, but suddenly the height she found herself at, was way bigger than she expected. She still jumped, though.
She landed in front of Nobuo, but he was already gone. He vanished in a flash, suddenly appearing in front of Will as a man surrounded by a gargantuan, electrical tiger who was about to eat the mister hero.
A claymore fell from the sky, blocking the samurai, who didn’t really stop. He still slashed with his katana, cutting the summoned weapon in his way, then vanishing again.
Hailwic was already running to chase Nobuo, but a sudden strike from behind made her trip, and tumble forward violently. It was Ki’rai who just appeared on her back, attacked, and landed on the ground safely.
The axe woman stopped the uncontrollable rolling, and turned it into more controlled sliding on the sand, just when a massive hand made of lava smashed right behind her.
It was torn off by a powerful attack produced by Martin, who clearly didn’t give a shit that his opponent could almost rival my Molochs.
Will summoned two glorious longswords, just to block an electrical dragon, that stretched his wing on the sky, before diving down. sudden;y in the middle of the monster showed Nobuo, ready to strike alongside the creature.
– It’s complete chaos – Druoag pointed out.
– Yeah – I agreed.
– They don’t really fight together. They just picked their targets and went after them – he said.
– Yeah – I agreed once again.
Then the loud sound of an explosion drew my attention back to the brawl. It was Nill, who punched Martin from the side, as the colossus was tearing apart the summoned lava creature. The blow was so powerful, it send the metal man flying. He landed heavily a few dozen meters away.
Sanders entered the scene burning with fire. Literally.
