905 T.D.o.N.B: Two titans
– I cAn’T tOp ThAt – Will said mockingly making some of our friends smile. – And then he pulls this shit.
– I’m just being nice – I said to him, with my voice changed.
It was something I never actually noticed before, but now with my senses not being tied to the organs, I was able to actually catch on to that fact. It sounded like more people were speaking, not just me. Those voices were whispers, sharp as blades.
– Let’s not argue. You should put this energy into practice – said Druoag and began walking away, more towards the center of the empty field.
Martin followed him immediately, and the rest of us slowly moved along, with me closing the procession. We walked in silence, ignoring all the darkness swirling around us until we reached more or less a good position.
– We should pick the strongest – Druoag said. – That person will probably end going to get the fruit while the rest creates such an opportunity.
– I agree – said Will. – I guess it’s between the two of you.
The massive alien nodded.
– When we pick that person, then we should train. All of us against the strongest, and also in two as equal groups as possible. First to make the strongest ready for what is ahead. The second is to make the rest prepared too – Druoag then added.
I smashed my fists together in front of my chest, quite gently, but the shockwave pushed the void essence away from me for a moment.
– Let’s do this – I then said.
Druoag nodded again. The rest took it as a signal to get away. We waited for them until they got over a hundred meters from us, then we exchanged a signal, before beginning.
My alien friend didn’t waste any time, unleashing his transformation. Red marks started to climb his skin, like a spreading disease. Some of his bones snapped with a loud noise, comparable to a gunshot, as he grew even more in size. The bony protrusions, sticking out here and there, also changed color. They became red, turning deeper and deeper into complete blackness at the very tips.
But that was not where it ended this time. His skin turned pitch black. Veins popped out pulsating as they pumped the blood. The red of the marks got darker, and the protrusions also did.
– WRARRR! – he screamed at me when the metamorphosis finished, making a wave of wind hit me in the face.
Then we both charged at one another. Like if two bombs just exploded, pushing the soil away behind us with raw power.
Our fists clashed, creating a shockwave so potent, that it split the landscape, blasting the both of us far away. Making the ground shake, and the air vibrate.
It didn’t matter for us, because with the power in our bodies, we could even find purchase into thin air. Compressing it until it turned solid, gave us the necessary support so we were able to launch ourselves forward yet again.
It was marked by two more explosions before the third occurred midair, above the place where we clashed initially.
At this point I noticed that I could easily get him with my ‘Shadow walk’ but it was useless since I was unsure if I would be able to use it under the domes of the cities we needed to conquer, so I decided to completely stop using the skill. It actually came easier than I expected.
The kinetic force send us back once again, but I quickly stopped myself with ‘Telekinesis’ and launched after Druoag. He did stop himself too, but way further, relying only on physical power. I almost hit him in the face, but he dodged in the last fraction of a second, launching a powerful right hook straight into my torso. I partially blocked it with my right hand, using also as leverage to send myself flying above him, then push with my legs, as I overpowered the kinetic force, sending myself straight down.
He covered himself with his forearms, blocking the punch, but he was still sent back to the ground. He smashed into the soil, throwing it all around, as he created a massive, several meters wide crater. Deep enough to contain his whole body.
He was about to leap straight back at me, but I grabbed him tightly with my ‘Telekinesis’ and held him into place. Mostly due to the fact, that he didn’t expect such a move, then I flew down, to land right next, as he freed himself from my grasp.
At that point, we both started swinging. None could land a hit to a complete demise of the landscape around us.
Maybe our fists couldn’t reach those places physically, but the air pushed with incredible force was enough to ravage it. It looked like somebody was actively bombarding the space around us. Not even in a normal way, but like a psychotic crazy person who is trying to dig straight into the core of the planet in this weird way.
Earth rained down like some terrible downpour just happened, all because of our punches.
Then I decided to dig a bit deeper into my skillset. I used some Ki, making it flow through my body, to increase my strength and speed. Suddenly my right hook from below landed on Druoag’s lower belly and blasted him so fast into space, that he created a straight white line, as he moved, forcing the air to freeze into a solid state due to the pressure.
It looked like there was a tunnel of ice, that almost instantly fell apart and evaporated. The crater under me got only bigger because of the pushback of force. Not slightly. It turned into a massive hole, probably around the size of Arc itself.
As I looked up, I noticed my friends. A black dot in the sky, flying far enough to not get hit by any of the attacks.
Two, or three seconds passed, but the alien was not falling down. Then he slammed a few meters away, sending a shockwave that only further decimated that land. He was actually bleeding from his mouth.
