AnimeMan: The 13th Princess’s Overpowered Servant
Chapter : 624
Inside the dark dome, Naomi heard a very faint, muffled tapping sound.
She also heard a very familiar, totally ridiculous voice complaining about a black screen.
Naomi blinked in the pitch-black space. The intense, suffocating fear in her chest instantly melted away. A very warm, genuine smile touched her lips. She could not see anything, but she knew exactly who was leaning against the wall.
"He is literally complaining about video game graphics right now," Naomi thought to herself. She let out a soft, amused chuckle. "We are fighting for our lives, and he is annoyed about a loading screen."
Her racing heart calmed down completely. Her hands stopped shaking. She felt a massive surge of pure confidence. She knew Ken was waiting for them right outside. She wanted to finish this fight quickly. She wanted to go back and share a snack with her goofy friend.
"We are going to beat him, Princess," Naomi announced fiercely. She gripped her daggers. "He is just smoke. Smoke can be blown away."
"You are very confident for someone standing in the dark," Reddy hissed.
The assassin attacked again. He did not use a single strike this time. He launched a rapid, relentless flurry of attacks. He appeared from the shadows, swung his dark blade, and vanished into smoke before Naomi could counter.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Naomi blocked the strikes blindly. She relied entirely on her sharp hearing. The dark blade sparked against her silver daggers. The impact pushed her backward. Her boots scraped against the floor.
Princess Iris tried to help. She thrust her silver rapier forward. She aimed at the sound of the assassin's footsteps. She stabbed nothing but air. The assassin easily evaded her attacks.
"He is too fast!" Princess Iris called out. She parried a sudden strike from the right. "We cannot see his movements! He is using the darkness perfectly!"
Reddy appeared directly above Princess Iris. He dropped from the black ceiling. He held his jagged blade with both hands. He aimed straight for her shoulder.
Naomi dashed forward. She shoved Princess Iris safely out of the way. Naomi raised her daggers to block the falling blade.
The dark sword crashed into Naomi's weapons. The kinetic force was massive. Naomi grunted in pain. Her knees buckled slightly. The assassin kicked her squarely in the chest. Naomi flew backward. She tumbled across the floor. She crashed into the invisible wall of the dome.
"Naomi!" Princess Iris yelled. She ran over to her fallen friend.
Naomi pushed herself up slowly. She breathed very fast. Sweat rolled down her face. She wiped a small drop of blood from her cheek. She glared into the total darkness.

"I am fine," Naomi panted. She stood back up. "But we are losing this fight. We cannot hit him. My wind magic just passes right through his smoke body. We are just wasting our mana."
Reddy laughed a cold, victorious laugh. "You finally understand reality. You cannot defeat the shadows. You are totally helpless. I will finish this contract now."
The situation looked entirely hopeless. The assassin possessed vast combat experience. He knew exactly how to use his unique magic. He drained their stamina. He pressured them constantly. The elite girls were trapped in a perfect, inescapable cage.
But Princess Iris refused to give up.
She looked at her silver rapier. She looked at Naomi. The Princess realized they needed to change the rules of the fight entirely. They needed to adapt. They needed to push past their absolute limits. They needed to awaken a brand new power right now.
---
Princess Iris closed her violet
"Naomi," Princess Iris whispered smoothly. Her voice carried a calm, confident melody. "He uses shadows to hide. Shadows cannot exist without a physical object blocking the sun. We must become the sun."
Naomi nodded slowly in the pitch-black void. She understood her leader perfectly.
Princess Iris raised her silver rapier. She pointed the sharp blade directly upward. She poured her absolute maximum mana into the weapon. She pushed past her usual limits. She reached deep into her royal bloodline.
"Infinite Prayers: Luminous Wings!" Princess Iris commanded brightly.
A blinding, brilliant white light erupted directly from her back. The light did not form a gigantic, towering angel this time. The magic condensed. It formed two beautiful, glowing angelic wings. The wings were human-sized. They attached firmly to her dark blue uniform.
The pure white light flooded the immediate area. It pushed the pitch-black darkness away. It created a glowing, radiant safe zone around the two girls.
Reddy shrieked loudly. The pure light burned his smoke form. He retreated frantically into the deeper, remaining darkness. He cursed in pain.
"My turn," Naomi announced fiercely.
Naomi closed her green eyes for a millisecond. She remembered her strict daily training. She always used wind to run fast. She always used wind to blow things away. She needed a brand new method. She needed to trap the smoke.
"If he turns into smoke, I will just steal the air," Naomi decided instantly.
Naomi spun her twin daggers. She channeled her green wind magic. She did not push the air outward. She pulled the air inward. She forced the wind to spin in a tight, concentrated circle. She created a localized vacuum directly around her silver blades.
"Vacuum Cyclone!" Naomi shouted at the top of her lungs.
She dashed forward. She swung her daggers. The vacuum blades sucked the air from the room. The intense suction pulled Reddy's dark smoke form forcefully toward her. He could not float away. He could not escape into the shadows. The vacuum trapped his magic completely.
Reddy was violently forced to solidify. His physical body popped back into reality. He stumbled forward.
Naomi struck instantly. She moved with blinding speed. Her silver dagger sliced cleanly across his chest.
Reddy gasped in pure shock. Bright red blood dripped from his black tactical suit. He stumbled backward. He clutched his wounded chest. He glared at the red-haired warrior. He felt genuine pain.
"We got him!" Naomi cheered wildly. She did not stop moving. She pressed the attack.
Princess Iris lunged forward. She used her glowing angelic wings to boost her speed. She thrust her silver rapier. The blade shined with holy light. The light burned Reddy's dark aura.
The girls fought brilliantly. They coordinated their strikes with flawless rhythm. Naomi attacked from the left. Iris attacked from the right. They pushed past their physical limits. They showcased their newly awakened magical abilities perfectly. They backed the legendary assassin into a corner.
But Reddy was a professional. He was a veteran killer from ZulFarah. He survived countless lethal battles. He did not panic. He just grew extremely angry.
"You lucky little brats," Reddy hissed. His voice dripped with lethal venom. "You think a neat trick can defeat a master? I will show you true, absolute despair."
Reddy unleashed his absolute maximum Black Magic.
