Housekeeper Yang’s mother, Mei Chunhua, affectionately known as Grandma Yang, was a hearty and boisterous old lady.

The moment she saw her son helping Lin Feng out of the car, her clear eyes lit up with delight. After greeting her son and asking about his health, Grandma Yang promptly abandoned the sour-faced man and turned her attention to the handsome young man beside him.

Well, wasn’t this a lovely sight for sore eyes?

Lin Feng was initially a little awkward, maintaining a polite distance from the overly enthusiastic elderly woman. However, Grandma Yang’s warmth and cheerfulness quickly melted away the barrier between them.

"Oh, Xiao Feng, come in! Let me introduce you to my friends. I’m sure they’ll be delighted to meet such a handsome young man!"

Lin Feng smiled shyly and obediently followed the old lady, almost forgetting about Housekeeper Yang. He suddenly remembered him and turned around, giving him a questioning look as though asking for permission.

"...."

Housekeeper Yang, who had been left behind, could only wave his hand to signal that it was fine.

He stayed behind with the driver and bodyguards to unload the mountain of gifts still packed inside the car.

Fortunately, the staff were more than happy to help carry everything inside.

The nursing staff were naturally delighted.

"One of our golden gods of wealth has finally visited again!"

"What delicious snacks did he bring this time?"

Bag after bag was carried into the spacious sanatorium grounds, not only from Housekeeper Yang but also from the other relatives who had come to visit.

The nursing home was unusually lively today.

The cheerful sounds of various musical instruments drifted through the air, mingling with children’s laughter and the lively chatter of the elderly. Every now and then, a burst of laughter rang out, filling the entire place with warmth and vitality.

Lin Feng was a little puzzled.

According to his memories of this world, nursing homes were usually quiet and peaceful places. Even when relatives came to visit, the atmosphere was generally calm and subdued.

But today, the entire place was practically buzzing with activity.

It almost seemed as though everyone was preparing for some grand occasion.

Unable to contain his curiosity, Lin Feng turned to Grandma Yang as she led him toward the back garden.

"Grandma Yang, why is everyone so busy today?"

The energetic old lady immediately laughed, her face lighting up.

"Of course everyone’s busy! The Spring Festival is almost here. Everyone has been practicing their instruments for ages. Tomorrow, we’ll be performing on the main stage for the town’s festival celebrations!"

Lin Feng blinked in surprise.

"The Spring Festival? Isn’t the Lunar New Year already over?"

From Grandma Yang’s enthusiastic explanation, Lin Feng gradually learned that every year in early spring, Bohai Town and the surrounding villages held a grand spring festival to welcome the new season.

Unlike the widely celebrated Spring Festival during the Lunar New Year, the Bohai Spring Festival celebrated the arrival of spring in the north and marked the transition into mid-spring, when the planting season would begin.

The celebration lasted five days, starting tomorrow, Saturday.

During the day, the town would host parades, exhibitions, and bustling markets, drawing visitors from nearby villages and even the urban areas. At night, the streets became even livelier, with performances on outdoor stages and rows of food stalls stretching along the roads.

The air would be filled with the aroma of freshly cooked food and drinks, while laughter and music carried into the night.

It was a major event that attracted plenty of tourists and brought considerable income to the town.

Naturally, the locals took the festival very seriously.

After all, it was a perfectly legitimate opportunity to fleece both tourists and fellow locals.

"No wonder everyone at the nursing home is so excited," Lin Feng exclaimed.

The instruments he had heard were part of the preparations for the upcoming performances, while the children laughing in the corridors had probably come to visit their elders before the festivities began.

As Grandma Yang described the celebrations in such vivid detail, Lin Feng’s eyes gradually filled with anticipation.

Would it be as lively as the Lantern Festival, with thousands of glowing lanterns illuminating the streets as though countless stars had descended from the heavens?

For a moment, his earlier worries faded into the background.

Surrounded by the cheerful atmosphere of the nursing home, Lin Feng found himself getting swept up in the excitement.

Relatives had come from all over to visit the elderly residents, filling the place with greetings, laughter, and affectionate chatter.

Among them were plenty of young people who would occasionally stop in their tracks after catching sight of the beautiful boy.

A few lucky ones who happened to meet his gaze would receive a gentle nod and a small smile in return.

They would then quietly press a hand against their chests, completely awestruck.

"Did you see that guy just now? Oh my God, he’s so good-looking! Is he even human? Even my idol doesn’t look that good in person!"

"But don’t you think he looks familiar? Where have I seen him before? That face is so striking..."

Their conversation was quickly swallowed by the surrounding noise.

The warmth of the nursing home was infectious. Before long, Lin Feng was being introduced to one elder after another, each welcoming him with such enthusiasm that he began to feel a little overwhelmed.

By the time he finally sat down among them, his lap was already piled high with snacks gifted by the elders.

Lin Feng spent a long time in the company of the lively grandpas and grandmas.

He wasn’t sure whether everyone was simply in a good mood because their relatives had come to visit or if they were naturally this cheerful, but every face he saw was filled with happiness and contentment.

He quietly listened as the elders chatted around him, talking about themselves, their friends, their hobbies, and, of course, their families.

Gradually, Lin Feng learned why so many of them had chosen to stay at the nursing home.

It turned out that his earlier assumption had been wrong.

At first, he had assumed that the elders living here were mostly people without family members to care for them.

While some were indeed in that situation, many others had children and relatives who were more than willing to take them home.

Many of the elders simply preferred living here.
