Ancient Woman Transmigrates to the Body of a Modern Man
Chapter 34: The stalker was finally sent away.
Housekeeper Yang entered the room, gestured at Edmund to place the tray on the table beside the bed, and then looked at the boy sitting listlessly on the bed, looking sickly.
"Young Master Lin Feng, your lunch has been prepared. Would you like to eat on the balcony?"
Lin Feng smiled gently at Housekeeper Yang and Edmund.
"Thank you, Uncle Yang, Edmund. Please leave the food on the table. I’ll eat later."
Usually, Housekeeper Yang would bow and take his leave. However, this time, he only looked at Edmund.
The latter seemed to understand the signal. The handsome mixed-race assistant bowed to Lin Feng before walking toward the door and closing it, leaving the middle-aged housekeeper and the boy alone.
To Lin Feng’s surprise, the middle-aged man lowered his head slightly in apology.
"Young Master Lin Feng, my apologies if this bothers you. However, I would like to ask you for a favor, and I hope you can help me."
The boy, who had still been struggling to make a decision but kept going around in circles without reaching an answer, was finally distracted.
It was the first time Housekeeper Yang had ever asked him for a favor.
Subconsciously, Lin Feng straightened his back.
"How should I help you, Uncle Yang?"
"I plan to visit my mother at the nursing home," Housekeeper Yang explained. "However, I remember that my mother once told me that whenever I came to visit her, I should bring some young people with me so that she and the other elders could have someone to talk to. They usually spend their time interacting with one another, and it’s quite rare for young people to visit them, so they’re feeling a little lonely."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"I hope that you can accompany me in visiting her."
Lin Feng was surprised.
Based on the body’s memories, he knew that nursing homes were usually for elders who had no one to take care of them. However, Housekeeper Yang was clearly still alive and well. So why was his mother not staying with him?
Was it because Housekeeper Yang had to stay at Hou Yizhen’s house full-time?
Finding this answer reasonable, Lin Feng did not ask Housekeeper Yang about it.
Instead, another thought entered his mind.
"The nursing home. That is a place filled with many elders, right?"
"Yes, Young Master Lin Feng."
Lin Feng’s eyes brightened slightly.
Elders were people who had accumulated the most experience and often possessed the wisest opinions. Perhaps he could find some inspiration from the elders at the nursing home.
Although Lin Feng felt hesitant because it felt awkward to visit people he did not really know, he could not bear to refuse Housekeeper Yang’s first request.
More importantly, he hoped that this might finally help him find the right answer.
In the end, the boy nodded.
"I’ll come with you to the nursing home, Housekeeper Yang."
"Thank you, Young Master Lin Feng."
"When are we going to go?"
"Would it be all right to leave tomorrow morning, Young Master?"
"There’s no problem, Uncle Yang."
.....
The next morning, the servants were busy loading the car with baskets of fruit, supplies, bouquets of flowers, boxes of pastries, and several containers of homemade food.
For the first time in several days, Lin Feng stepped out of the house.
He wore a set of clothes matched by Designer Lin the last time she visited, when she gave Lin Feng a truckload of clothes for the first time.
This low-key set was one of them.
Lin Feng wore a soft ivory knit cardigan over a simple cream shirt, paired with warm beige trousers and comfortable light-brown loafers.
A thin jade pendant rested quietly against his chest, adding a subtle touch of elegance to his gentle, pure appearance.
It was a very simple outfit, yet it made Lin Feng look as though he were glowing with a soft white halo.
Just as the car was leaving the gate, Lin Feng noticed a commotion at the nearby house.
He turned to look in that direction and saw a line of cars arriving at the villa closest to their home.
Lin Feng recalled that someone had been living in that villa. It was the bulky, balding man who had once stood beside the attic skylight on that villa’s roof, looking over at them.
"Uncle Yang, I seem to remember that there was a balding man living in that house."
Housekeeper Yang: ’...The man has a buzz cut, not bald.’
However, Housekeeper Yang decided not to correct his young master’s words. Let him think that the man was bald. After all, that guy was not a good person at all.
As the car turned toward the intersection, Housekeeper Yang glanced in that direction before nodding at Lin Feng.
"Yes. I believe they’ll be moving out in a few days."
Lin Feng nodded in understanding.
At this time, he had not realized at all how Housekeeper Yang had come to know about this matter.
Housekeeper Yang, meanwhile, was thinking that Master Hou was indeed a very efficient person. It had only been three days, and this hooligan’s family had already moved pretty quickly to transfer him away.
No longer paying the hooligan any attention, their car headed toward the largest sanatorium in Bohai Town.
....
The sturdy man with the buzz cut had been wondering why the pure and elegant boy had not come out of his house for the past few days when, all of a sudden, his family called him and ordered him to leave Bohai Town as soon as possible.
He had thought something serious had happened and repeatedly asked what was wrong.
His mother did not tell him the reason. She simply told him to come back home now that the limelight had passed.
The man with the buzz cut naturally refused.
He had not even spoken with his white moonlight yet!
However, the next day, a long line of guards sent by his family arrived and took him away against his will.
They even resorted to manhandling him!
"How dare you do this to me? Do you even know what you’re doing? Once my mother finds out about this, you’re all dead, do you know that?"
The guards did not even flinch.
"This is the patriarch’s order, young master."
The moment he heard that it was his grandfather’s order, the man instantly fell silent.
However, he was still unwilling to leave.
His eyes narrowed. "Then go and bring that boy with me to the capital. If you don’t bring him, I won’t be leaving."
A hint of sarcasm filled the eyes of the guard holding him down.
This spoiled young master did not even know that the real reason he was being sent away was because of that boy.
As if they had not heard anything, the bodyguards simply dragged the man away, stuffed him into the car, and sped away from Beigou Village and out of Bohai Town, heading towards the capital.
