Ancient Tears BloodLine
Chapter 1704: Fight Until the End
Special Battlefield
Just as I thought of resuming the fight, I felt something appear behind me. It was coming at me with great speed.
My senses had already picked up the signal. It was another weirdly shaped creature.
Before its weird tentacles could reach me, I executed the lightning move. I extended my arm and released the lightning power through my hand.
"Lightning Cage!"
In a flash, the lightning power with a crimson border struck the body of the weirdly shaped foreign creature.
Boom!
Upon contact, a huge detonation occurred. The blast sent the creature flying back. The weirdly shaped creature’s body was covered in lightning like a spider’s web.
Thud!
In a flash, the creature flew backward before crashing into the ground. The landing was heavy. The impact force spread outward.
When the dust settled, I saw the creature. The elite creature was not moving an inch, and charred smoke was rising from its body.
I confirmed that the creature was dead. The lightning power had totally fried its body.
Unlike the top-ranked elite creatures, the other elite creatures didn’t have such strong dark origin power.
So, these elite creatures posed no threat to me. I only had to be wary of the top-ranked elite creatures.
Time went by.
I didn’t have to actively look for the foreign creatures. After some time, the creatures started appearing in large numbers.
I was surprised. Earlier, I had to search for them across the battlefield.
Now they had started appearing in large numbers. Instead of fighting against one foreign creature at a time, I was fighting against a group.
"Something has changed," the ancient spirit said.
It had been quiet for some time, but now it spoke.
"Yeah, I don’t know what’s going on."
"I hope the situation at the main battlefield is not worse," I replied in my mind.
Hearing that, the ancient spirit fell silent. It knew that Zack Lockwood was concerned about the main battlefield.
However, it had a different worry. It didn’t know whether the foreign creatures had discovered the whereabouts of Zack Lockwood.
Boom!
I released a barrage of punches at the group of foreign creatures surrounding me. My fists, covered in lightning power, struck down the bodies of the foreign creatures.
One after another, the foreign creatures were struck down. Their bodies flew backward before falling to the ground. The dark purple lightning had killed them.
It didn’t take long for me to clear out the foreign creatures around me. Once the place became quiet, I continued to observe my surroundings.
I didn’t know how long it had been, but I was sure it had been several hours since I entered the special battlefield.
Last time, I had exited the special battlefield quite a bit earlier, but it was taking longer this time. I hoped everything was all right on the other side.
The ancient spirit suspected something was wrong.
"Be careful, there are still foreign creatures inside the battlefield," the ancient spirit reminded me in my mind.
Hearing that, I frowned. If the ancient spirit was saying this, then it had to be true.
I checked my dantian and saw that the purple lightning force inside had run out.
My other inheritance forces in the dantian were at their lowest levels as well. Next, I had to rely on pure bodily strength to fight against the creatures.
Shortly afterward, I encountered a horned humanoid creature. It was also an elite creature.
Upon seeing me, the creature charged. In the blink of an eye, it appeared before me.
It started throwing punches right away. I countered the attack with a punch of my own.
This time, I was not relying on any inheritance force; it was pure brute strength.
Boom!
When both attacks collided, the recoil sent both of us backward. I retreated a couple of steps, but the creature was sent flying much further back than I was.
Swoosh!
I darted forward and threw another punch. Once again, the fight was on. I evaded the attacks of the humanoid creature and landed blows on its body.
The attacks forced the creature back, and the continuous brute-force strikes began breaking its skin.
It didn’t take long for black blood to seep out of its wounds.
The horned creature began sustaining more injuries across its body. Like other elite creatures, it utilized dark origin power, but it lacked the ability to self-heal.
It infused the dark origin power into its fists to attack.
Boom!
I met its dark origin fists with my own brute-force strikes. I could feel my dark red skeleton powering up my raw strength. The force of impact separated us once again.
When we broke apart, I could feel my hand aching, but it was not serious.
My bones were tempered by blood energy force; I could fight without relying on inheritance force.
Boom!
Strike after strike, the blows caused the horned humanoid creature to bleed more heavily. The creature’s entire body was covered in dark blood, and its vitality was slowly fading.
Seeing that, I kept up my assault. Eventually, the horned humanoid creature collapsed to the ground, its vitality completely depleted.
Swoosh!
Its life force vanished, and it died on the spot. Then, I began searching for more foreign creatures.
Time went by.
I came across more weirdly shaped foreign creatures wandering around.
Upon spotting them, I moved forward to attack. I began treating them as sparring partners.
I experimented with different fighting styles against them. My hand and leg techniques inflicted continuous damage.
In particular, I began utilizing powerful kicks against them.
Boom!
A foreign creature flew backward before crashing into the ground. Finally, I was executing hand and leg strikes with true efficiency.
It gave me more options to disarm and injure the foreign creatures.
A few hours later, I rested on a bedrock ledge. My hands were bruised. I didn’t know how long it had been, it could have been more than a day.
The special battlefield remained in daylight the entire time.
I was completely exhausted. No more foreign creatures were appearing. I figured the battle in this special battlefield would end soon, so I wouldn’t have to worry about continuous combat.
"Did you sense anything?" I asked.
"No, there are no foreign creatures nearby. You can rest now," the ancient spirit replied.
Hearing that, I sighed in relief.
