Ancient Tears BloodLine
Chapter 1638: Healers to the Rescue
United City (Tier-3 Sub-Post)
In the council hall, the elders were waiting for the results when the secret land battlefield ejected the warriors from the place.
The warriors appeared on the water’s surface. They were being rescued by the healers at a rapid rate. This scene was playing on the big screens on their desks.
The elders remained silent. Their eyes were glued to the screens, watching the rescue take place. The warriors who appeared above the water’s surface were the only survivors.
But none of them could swim on their own. It showed that not a single warrior was in shape to walk, either. Everyone was badly hurt.
Still, the elders were paying attention to an even more critical matter: they wanted to know how many of them had died.
Elder Rowena was among them. She was keeping count as well, but the count was not good. The survivors were fewer than in the previous battle. It was bad news.
Rowena immediately figured something out. The enemy side must have sent elite creatures this time as well.
It didn’t take long for the bad news to reach them. The casualty rate across all ten secret land battlefields was over 95%.
More than 200 warriors had died. It was devastating news. They didn’t have that many warriors anymore; this battle had dealt them massive damage.
They were facing a shortage of Red Mark Warriors right now. Next, they would have to summon warriors from the Tier-5 region again.
The faces of the council elders were grim. Soon, they would receive the footage of the battlefield, and they could make their decision after watching it.
Meanwhile,
Back in the residence, I was watching the live news, seeing the number of dead and injured.
"They lost, unfortunately. The council elders had poor planning," the ancient spirit’s voice said.
"That’s why I wanted to fight alone. But there are no battlefields like that here," I replied.
My heart had hardened like a rock. It was an expected outcome. Still, only a few survivors had escaped the battlefield, all carrying injuries.
I didn’t know about Marcus, Reece, and Julia. I only knew a couple of people here, and I didn’t know whether they had survived the battlefield or not.
Then I thought of Senior Marie. She was the first person I got to know here, so I immediately texted her. But there was no reply.
My heart sank. Still, I knew she was a strong Red Mark Warrior. She could survive that battlefield.
I put away my device and lay down on the sofa. I didn’t know what was going to happen next. By now, the death toll had to be over 200.
The United City could face a shortage of warriors. I didn’t know how the higher-ups were going to solve the problem. What if the enemy side continued to send elite race members?
I shook my head and closed my eyes to sleep. I fell asleep, wanting to get this thing out of my head.
The ancient spirit understood that the current situation was affecting the young man. The best place for him to forget about the situation was the battlefield.
If there were a battlefield, the young man could fight alone. Then he could get back in the mood by fighting against the foreign creatures.
But the ancient spirit understood that there was no such battlefield in this place.
Time passed.
The news about the battlefield spread across the city. Black clouds covered the skies. It was grim. The media houses were reporting on this matter.
Everyone was shocked by the death toll. The number was sky-high. The city medic center was overwhelmed with the influx of Red Mark Warriors.
One or two Red Mark Warriors died due to their severe injuries.
The healers were shorthanded. They needed help as well.
So they requested help from the council elders. The council elders then asked for help from the main post.
Movement between the two posts was restricted. But since the situation here was severe, the elders in the main post decided to send a few healers to the United City.
They came to know about the casualty rate, and it shocked them. If the situation got worse, the Red Mark Warriors in the main post could be forced to fight in the United City.
They didn’t want to see such a situation, so they discussed the matter before sending a few healers to the United City.
Soon, the healers arrived in the United City and got to work right away. They started healing the injured warriors. Even those on the verge of death were pulled back by the veteran healers.
There were Red Mark Warriors whose foundations were about to be damaged who were saved as well. The healers from the main post healed their foundations.
The good news reached the ears of the council elders.
They relaxed in relief. At least they could do something to save the lives of the injured warriors. If the injured warriors were to die, their death toll would soar.
...
Dark Planet
The high command creatures were patiently waiting. It was fortunate that they had not been killed because of the previous results.
The Quasi-God Venom Maw Powerhouse understood that one human warrior was responsible for their deaths. After watching the footage, the Venom Maw Powerhouse alone decided to deal with it.
These foreign creatures were in disbelief when they heard that even the Venom Maw creatures had been killed by the target. They had thought their elder would do something.
But the Venom Maw Elder didn’t cause any problems. Later, they learned that other elite race powerhouses had brought the Venom Maw Elder under control.
If not for them, their command would have been wiped out along with them. They were surviving each battlefield like the others.
They had heard that other elite race powerhouses decided to send out some help this time.
They were wondering whether the target, Zack Lockwood, would survive the battlefield this time or not.
Even though the target had killed a Venom Maw, they were still not sure.
