Chapter 1637: A Short Fight

United City (Tier-3 Sub-Post)

Days passed.

I had been practicing non-stop. Whenever I needed a break, I came outside to rest. But progress had been going steadily.

Both the blood energy force and the bloodline force film had improved further. Right now, I am focusing on sealing inheritance.

I was also seeing improvement in the sealing force as well.

A few minutes later, I exited the essence chamber to get some rest. I went to the bathroom to take a shower first. I spent 20 minutes in the bath.

After coming out, I put on comfortable clothes. Next, I went to the sofa and lay down. I totally forgot about the outside noise.

Ever since the council elders told me not to participate on the battlefield, I had decided to focus on my training. I wanted to become a Half-Step Red Mark Warrior first.

So I stopped watching the big screen. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Alarm!

Right then, the alarm sounded. It was the alarm of the secret land battlefield.

Hearing that alarm sound, I opened my eyes and sat up. I could hear the blaring alarm; it was time for the battle.

I didn’t know what to do. I walked up to the window. I slid open the glass window. Then I saw many figures flying towards the sea.

Seeing that, my eyes flashed with doubt. I didn’t know whether the Venom Maws or other elite creatures were going to appear.

Buzz!

Just then, my device buzzed. My attention shifted for a couple of seconds. I closed the window. Then I took my device and looked at the message.

It was a message sent by the administration office.

I began to read the message. After reading it, I raised my eyebrows. The administration didn’t want me to go anywhere near the sea.

They were afraid that I might go to the secret land battlefield. Then I sent a reply back that I wasn’t going.

But the alarm continued to sound. Only when the Red Mark Warriors entered the secret land battlefield did the alarm stop sounding.

Next, I went to the sofa and lay down. I thought of going inside the essence chamber, but I stopped at the last moment.

I didn’t know what was going to happen inside. The secret land battlefields were not going to be easy. I didn’t know how many of them were going to survive without my help.

The foreign creatures must have sent their elites. So I could not help but think. I got up and started walking back and forth in the room.

In the council hall, there was a tense atmosphere. Council Elder Rowena and others were present.

Though they had made the decision not to send Zack Lockwood into this battle, they knew the outcome was already predetermined.

No one was going to do it like Zack Lockwood. So the chances of survival for the Red Mark Warriors were slim. At worst, they could face slaughter, or they could escape with lifelong injuries.

No one had an expression of ease because they knew the outcome. They were helpless to do anything. They hadn’t received any direction from the powerhouse above.

Only Quasi-God Jane had approved of their decision to send Zack Lockwood to the main post. It had brought them a sigh of relief.

It was a complicated situation where they could not celebrate Zack Lockwood’s victory openly in the Sub-Post. So everyone thought it was best for Zack Lockwood and the others to enter the main post.

Battlefield

The Venom Maws and other elite races had entered the battlefield. What followed? It was a completely one-sided battle and absolute slaughter.

This time, the Red Mark Warrior Silas had entered the battlefield as well. He wanted to survive the battle.

After seeing the foreign creatures, his hope was crushed. The Venom Maws and the others crushed the Red Mark Warriors with pressure.

Silas, too, was sent flying back. His body crashed into the ground with a heavy thud. He couldn’t believe it; he had been knocked down by the pressure alone.

Others were brutally struck. A few lost their lives right away. The foreign creatures didn’t have to do anything; their pressure alone was destroying their opponents.

On another battlefield, a similarly gruesome situation was taking place. Marcus and his other friends were severely injured. He lost a few friends among them.

They were killed by the elite foreign creatures. Marcus and the others fainted on the spot. They were bleeding heavily.

If the secret land battle didn’t end soon, they could lose their lives as well.

On the other hand, Julia and her friend were severely injured. Julia’s Red Moon Inheritance was stronger than before; she had improved it compared to the previous battle.

Yet she was no match for the Venom Maw. The black tongue sent her flying back. The same thing happened to her friend, who was heavily injured.

Julia was scared. She had to stop the foreign creatures. Otherwise, they could all be wiped out inside the battlefield.

So she pushed her limits to stand against the Venom Maw. Like her, there were two other strong people, but they were still outnumbered against the foreign creatures.

They had no choice now. They could not win against the foreign creatures; they just had to wait for the secret land battlefield to kick them outside.

On another front, Reece and his friends were not in good shape either. They suffered serious injuries that pushed them closer towards death.

Unlike what everyone expected, the battles didn’t continue for a long time. The battle didn’t even go on for half an hour. The second secret land was the first to eject its people.

Marcus and a few of his friends survived. They were ejected from the battlefield. Similarly, a few others were ejected in an injured state as well.

Shortly afterwards,

The Red Mark Warriors were ejected from other secret land battlefields. But their numbers were fewer. Their bodies floated on the sea surface.

The blood coming out from their wounds was dyeing the seawater red. Seeing that, the medical center staff who were waiting outside rushed to rescue them.

This time, the number of warriors who survived was far fewer than the previous time.
