An Awakener with the Gamer Class
Chapter 106: In Disarray
"Hmph!" Enzo snorted coldly at the bald man and the curly-haired man.
Neither of them seemed capable of speaking anymore.
Wyatt and even the middle-aged man, who was stronger than the others, realized that they had run into trouble.
BANG!
Before they could think of anything, Enzo kicked their table, naturally hitting them as well.
All four of them were sent flying in four different directions.
BANG! BANG!
The bald man and the curly-haired man immediately spat out blood when their bodies slammed into the wall, instantly looking unable to stand.
Wyatt also appeared to have broken one of his legs.
Only the middle-aged man still looked relatively unharmed.
But then Enzo turned his gaze toward him.
Shua!
He lunged forward, almost diving through the air to avoid colliding with the restaurant ceiling.
His head slammed into the middle-aged man, smashing through the wall until the two of them reached the hotel courtyard.
A luxury car parked there was also destroyed in the process.
The middle-aged man immediately tried to fight back. He actually controlled earth.
The ground beneath his feet rose toward Enzo.
However, the latter only needed a single punch to send the earth scattering in every direction.
BANG!
He punched the middle-aged man with his fist, sending him crashing into a car and causing that car to slam into another one.
His hair became disheveled, and blood flowed from his nose.
He looked furious but realized how powerless he was against an opponent who was far stronger.
When Enzo approached again, he immediately ran toward the street.
Enzo also saw Wyatt flying away with his wings, although one of his legs seemed to be dangling uselessly.
He quickly returned to his original appearance because the transformation was consuming his stamina. The Mana that had been converted into physical strength was rapidly running out.
When he realized how much damage he had caused, he smiled bitterly.
However, the others looked terrified of him. Many of them ran away.
"Don’t move!"
Several police officers arrived and pointed large firearms at Enzo.
The police officers were Awakeners as well, and the firearms they carried were dangerous even for someone at Enzo’s current Level.
Enzo raised his hands.
How could he not be arrested after causing such a huge disturbance in the middle of the city?
In fact, the Z City Police Department wasn’t very far from the hotel.
"Commander, I was only teaching those Awakeners a lesson for harassing my cousin. I’ll compensate for the damage here," Enzo said to the middle-aged man leading the police officers.
Judging from the insignia on his uniform, Enzo felt that simply calling him Captain wouldn’t be appropriate.
What mattered was compensating for the damage and explaining the truth. As long as the truth could be proven and he had no prior record, he should be able to get away with it.
This was simply an Awakener defending his pride.
The police naturally couldn’t harshly punish someone for doing that.
"You’ll have to come with us to the station first," the commander replied.
"Hey, that’s not fair. Those men harassed me, and he was only defending me. Why should we be punished when we’re the stronger ones?" Bella came out and immediately protested.
She brought the two men over and threw them into the courtyard.
"You should arrest them instead. They should be the ones paying for the damages. There are CCTV recordings and plenty of witnesses proving that they were at fault."
"Miss, we have to follow procedure." The commander replied and signaled his subordinates to investigate.
At that moment, he seemed to receive a phone call.
His expression became serious when he saw who was calling.
Enzo caught a glimpse of the screen and realized that the caller was Rebecca Morgan.
As soon as the commander answered, a cold voice came through.
"Release that man. He’s Charles Muller’s son. I’m sure you don’t want to make trouble for yourself."
Rebecca said only that before ending the call.
That alone was enough to leave the commander speechless.
His gaze toward Enzo changed.
But wasn’t the recent news that Charles Muller’s son had failed to awaken?
How had he become so powerful now?
The commander was confused.
However, one thing was clear: Rebecca Morgan had personally asked for this.
Naturally, he could only obey.
"Mr. Muller, you may leave," he said.
"Thank you. You’re very kind..." Enzo replied with a smile.
He then pulled Bella toward the car.
"Who just called the police?" Bella asked.
"Rebecca Morgan," Enzo answered. "Looks like what I did spread pretty quickly."
The two of them got into the car.
Enzo checked his phone and indeed found videos of the fight that had already gone viral throughout Z City and spread across the Awakener community.
Conflicts between Awakeners, especially those involving high-level Awakeners in the middle of a city, naturally went viral extremely quickly.
The video began when he had already transformed into a giant and started attacking Wyatt’s group.
In giant form, his appearance didn’t resemble his original appearance at all.
Even Enzo himself thought it didn’t look like him.
However, to Rebecca, whose strength was far beyond his, she seemed to recognize him immediately.
’I don’t need to admit that it’s me,’ Enzo thought.
’Those who know can know. Those who don’t can remain unaware.’
He was confident that other people wouldn’t think it was him.
"Enzo, you’re already this strong? How?" Bella asked after watching the video.
Even though she had witnessed it firsthand, she still found it difficult to believe.
Enzo smiled without saying anything.
After all, what could he say?
Bella pouted because he still refused to tell her.
She drove quickly toward the portal, clearly wanting to return to leveling as soon as possible.
Enzo had his own thoughts.
He wondered what that group was actually planning.
His instincts told him that they still wanted to capture Violet.
But with only that level of strength, they wouldn’t be able to do anything.
’Casino...’
Enzo’s eyes lit up when he spotted a large casino beside the highway.
It was a three-story building.
Even at this hour, the casino was quite crowded. Young and old alike entered with high spirits.
Of course, those leaving looked rather gloomy.
The reason he became interested was because he knew from the name that it was Wyatt’s casino.
Ramos Casino.
Wasn’t Ramos the name of Wyatt’s family?
"Bella, stop. I’ll get out here. There’s something I want to do," Enzo said.
"Here? What do you want to do?" Bella asked in confusion.
The car had already passed the casino.
Naturally, she had no reason to suspect that Enzo wanted to go there.
"Nothing important," Enzo answered briefly.
Bella still stopped the car so he could get out.
Although she knitted her brows, Bella didn’t say anything else.
She continued on her way.
Of course, Enzo didn’t go to the casino.
He wasn’t going to send himself straight into danger.
Instead, he went to a large café not far away, ordered a large cup of milk coffee, various snacks, and a private room.
Only after arriving here did he release Violet, who immediately leaped through the third-floor window.
She even revealed herself as soon as she landed on the sidewalk, startling the pedestrians nearby.
Without delay, she crossed the street and headed toward the casino.
Her appearance was no different from that of any other city woman, dressed in a long coat.
Her eyes remained fixed straight ahead, as though she didn’t notice the gazes of those around her.
Those who had just lost money gambling seemed to regain their spirits upon seeing her.
At the entrance, the security guards pointed a detector at her.
Naturally, she passed because she was only carrying her phone.
Soon, she arrived inside the casino, where the lighting was dim and hundreds of slot machines were neatly lined up.
Each machine had a speaker producing its own sounds.
Whenever someone won, the sound of the slot machine would echo even louder.
This was truly the first time Enzo had seen the inside of a casino.
Until now, he’d only seen them in movies.
Reality was somewhat different.
Some people had probably been sitting in front of the slot machines for who knew how long, to the point that they looked like starving vagrants.
Although many looked frustrated, none dared cause trouble with so many large security guards around.
Violet didn’t stop on the first floor.
She climbed the stairs to the second floor, which was quieter and brighter.
There were no slot machines here, only tables for card games.
The people playing looked healthier, most of them wearing shirts and suits with neat appearances.
They were clearly more controlled and had come mainly for entertainment.
Violet still wanted to look around.
Since there was a staircase leading to the third floor, she headed there.
However, she was stopped by two security guards standing in front of the stairs.
"Miss, do you have a VIP card?" one of them asked.
"No..." Violet replied indifferently.
The two security guards were surprised by her attitude.
"If you don’t have a VIP card, you can’t go to the third floor," the security guard said again.
"How can I get a VIP card?" Violet asked.
"You’ll receive one naturally once your deposits reach one hundred thousand dollars," the security guard replied.
