Alpha's Regret: The Seventh Time was Forever

Chapter 444 - 445 - If anyone hurts them…

Chapter 444: Chapter 445 - If anyone hurts them...

Seraphine’s heart had shattered into a million pieces the day Bryan chose Daisy over her.

Back then, she had convinced herself that her sweet little boy had simply stopped loving her, and the pain of that thought had haunted her every single day.

But now she finally knew the devastating truth. Daisy had spent years poisoning his innocent mind with cruel, twisted lies.

Instead of letting fresh hurt take over, Seraphine felt a fierce, burning determination surge through her veins.

No matter what chaos came after this festival, she was never going to lose the boy she had raised for six long years ever again. She would fight for him with everything she had.

She wasn’t the only one deeply moved by Bryan’s heartbreaking confession. The second he admitted he hadn’t been feeling well, Marsha had quietly taken partial control.

Seraphine hadn’t even noticed it happening. This wasn’t the playful, teasing Marsha who loved making Voren squirm. This was the ancient healer wolfy part of her, driven by pure instinct to protect anyone suffering in pain.

As Bryan stared into Seraphine’s eyes, their usual bright blue slowly melted away, replaced by a deep, glowing purple that seemed to shimmer with ancient power. Bryan blinked in total surprise.

At the same time, Voren and Corvine both whipped their heads around after hearing his startled little voice.

Before either of them could even react, thin rays of beautiful glowing purple light streamed straight out of Seraphine’s eyes and poured into Bryan. The warm light wrapped around the little boy for just a few magical seconds before fading away completely, leaving everything peaceful again.

Corvine had nearly reached the security checkpoint when he slammed on the brakes so hard the car behind them laid on its horn in anger. Ignoring the loud noise, he stared wide-eyed into the rearview mirror. "What in the world just happened?" His confused gaze locked onto Voren.

Voren looked every bit as stunned. "I... I don’t know."

By then, Seraphine had already regained full control of her body. She blinked a few times, letting out a long, steady breath. "Bryan?" She searched his sweet face anxiously, her heart pounding. "Are you okay, baby?"

Bryan’s eyes sparkled with the happiest tears she had ever seen. A massive, radiant smile exploded across his face. "Mom!" He laughed with pure joy and excitement. "The pain is gone!"

He wiggled his arms around and squirmed happily in her warm embrace. "I don’t feel sick anymore!"

Inside Seraphine’s mind, Marsha sounded incredibly pleased with herself. ’I couldn’t stand the little guy before,’ her proud voice echoed. ’But after learning what that bitch did to him, he deserved permanent healing.’

A warm, grateful smile spread across Seraphine’s face. ’Thank you, Marsha.’ She meant every single word from the bottom of her heart.

For years, she had tried desperately to use science to search for a permanent cure for Bryan’s mysterious illness, but none of them had even figured out what it truly was.

Seraphine had created the serum herself, yet even that only managed to keep the awful symptoms under control. Now Marsha had completely erased the illness like it had never existed.

Seraphine gently cupped Bryan’s precious face in her hands. "Bryan," she said softly, her smile full of love. "You’re never going to get sick again."

His eyes grew even brighter with wonder. "Really?"

She nodded, her heart overflowing. "But you can’t tell your dad about what just happened, okay?"

Bryan immediately looked confused, his innocent eyes blinking up at her. "Why, Mommy? He’ll be so happy."

Before Seraphine could explain, Voren spoke up first, his calm voice carrying genuine warmth. "He will be happy. But this isn’t the right time for him to know." He smiled gently at Bryan. "So trust your mommy on this, alright?"

Bryan glanced back and forth between the two of them for a moment, then finally nodded. "Okay."

Satisfied with the answer, Corvine pressed the accelerator and drove slowly toward the entrance. The warriors guarding the gate stepped forward for inspection.

The moment they peered inside the vehicle, their expressions straightened with respect. They stood at full attention and stepped aside right away.

"Alpha Voren."

"Luna Sera."

"Beta Corvine."

One of the guards bowed deeply. "You may proceed."

The gates swung open without any further questions. As the vehicle rolled smoothly into the pack grounds, Seraphine quietly gazed out the window. The entire place buzzed with electric excitement and energy.

Pack members rushed around everywhere, putting the final touches on preparations for the Full Moon Festival.

She spotted so many familiar faces she hadn’t seen in years, and others she’d only missed for a few months. Almost every pack had already arrived, and everything was organized so perfectly that guests barely needed any directions at all.

Large wooden signs stood proudly along every path: Warriors This Way, Alphas This Way, Lunas This Way, Betas This Way. Every single route was clearly marked. Instead of following any of them, Corvine drove straight past the signs. A few moments later, he parked right in front of the pack house.

Seraphine carefully adjusted Bryan in her arms before turning toward Voren. "I’ll take Bryan to the safe house."

Voren frowned immediately, worry flashing across his face. "Let me take him." He already knew someone would jump at any excuse to target her, and he refused to let her walk around alone and vulnerable.

Seraphine understood his fears completely and gave him a reassuring smile. "Don’t worry. I’ll be fine."

Inside Voren’s mind, Blood Fang let out a deep, dangerous growl that rumbled ’with raw fury. ’If anyone hurts them..." his murderous voice echoed. ’I’ll deal with you first.’

Voren couldn’t even argue with his wolf. He felt exactly the same overwhelming need to protect them.

No matter how carefully they had to hide their real relationship, he still needed to stay close enough to keep her safe. His expression turned firm and determined. "Then we’ll all go together."

Seraphine looked at him for a second before giving in with a soft nod. "Alright."

Just as they started walking, something important crossed her mind. She reached for Voren’s hand without a word, gently holding his ring finger.

Then she carefully slid his wedding ring off. Voren glanced down at his now-bare finger, his brows pulling together, but he didn’t protest. If it made things easier for her right now, he would endure it.

The three of them walked side by side toward the safe house where all the children were staying during the festival. Luckily, Kylie was supervising the place.

The moment they stepped inside, Esperanza spotted Seraphine carrying Bryan and frowned instantly.

Jasmine was still there since many of the visiting packs hadn’t arrived when she came earlier. The second she noticed Esperanza’s reaction, she crouched down beside the little girl and whispered something into her ear.

Esperanza blinked in surprise. Then a bright, happy smile lit up her whole face, and she nodded eagerly. Instead of rushing straight to Seraphine, she walked over to Bryan first.

Before she could even say anything, Bryan beamed with unstoppable excitement. He pointed proudly at Seraphine, his voice ringing through the whole room. "Everyone! Look at my mommy!"

At that exact moment, Ravyn walked through the entrance with Daisy right beside him.

His eyes landed immediately on Seraphine, and then drifted to Voren standing so close to her. Something about the whole scene made him feel deeply uneasy.
