Chapter 567: Story Time.

Leo spent an hove cooking the eggs with some rice and stir-fry vegetables. The people all sat around the courtyard chatting and Leo also chimed in from time to time while cooking. After all of the cooking was finished the people all came over to help and they ate together and all of them noticed that Leo was putting food in Lily’s plate.

The young man was making sure that Lily was eating in small portions so that she does not waste any food. Nova realized that Maya was not really eating as much as she usually would and asked, "Maya, are you not hungry?"

The little girl shook her head and replied, "I am just tried."

Leo looked over and found that all the children were really looking tired and eating very slowly. Thinking about it he said, "Sometimes when children are tired their appetite drops. It is only normal, how about I make them a soup?"

Nova said, "I can make a soup. I will do it, can you look after Maya for a bit? I am afraid that she would fall asleep."

Leo nodded and then he nudged Lily who had finished eating the food, and went to the side of the younger child and sat down beside her. They talked in whispers but Lily gradually told her that the body needed food to recover from weakness, and Maya tried to eat some of the scramble but then she could not continue, and Lily didn’t force her either.

Louis and Matthew coaxed their children into eating something as well and shortly after, Nova came over with three bowls of soup. It was a simple tomato soup with some egg drops in it. The children didn’t want to drink but they heard Lily sighed and say, "Oh dear, if you don’t drink this, your legs would ache in the morning and you will not be able to play with me. I am telling you, if you fell sick, I will go around the town alone."

This sounded like a challenge to the boys and Maya was worried to be left alone so they chugged down the bowls very quickly. Then Lily led them to walk around the courtyard, while the men cleaned up. Finally after they finished the whole thing, Matthew said, "I find it very surprising that you know all these things, Leo."

Leo smiled and replied, "Well, even though I was born in a fairly decent family, my mother was strict about some things, and doing household chores under the guidance of the elders was one of them."

The people nodded in realization, they understood that it was not him who was overwhelmingly good, but his parents who taught him well. They chatted with each other for a bit before Lily brough the children back, although they were tired but thanks to the brief walk, they managed to feel a little better and now the food will process even better.

Just then, one of the members from the direction team said, "Sirs, it is time for lights out."

The men nodded, and holding the hands of their children they all went to their respected rooms. Lily laid down beside Leo and snuggled into his arms as she said, "Baba, I miss Jules, and Elle."

Leo rubbed her head gently and said, "I miss them too, should we give them a call?"

Lily nodded and then Leo made a call from his wrist communicator, Alpha replied, "Hello, Sir."

Leo asked, "Alpha, where is everyone?"

The bot answered, "Madam has taken the twins to sleep, they are not very obedient today. They are asking her to tell them stories, and although Madam has already told five stories they are not willing to sleep."

Leo was surprised and said, "Connect me with Snow on holo-con."

Holo con was the name for a holographic call, after a few moments the call was connected and Snow appeared in the holograph. The young man asked, "What is going on?"

Snow shook her head and replied, "I have no idea, they seem to be too hyper active, I was thinking if I should go and play them some music but I found that one of the violins nut is broken."

Lily peeked from the side and said, "Ma, did you miss me?"

Snow smiled and replied, "Yes, my darling I miss you a lot."

Lily smiled and asked about her siblings and then Snow told her about how they are not falling asleep. Then Lily said, "How about Baba tells them a story?"

Elle was on the hologram as well and then she cheered, "Yes, baba tell story."

She was raising her arms and Jules was smiling widely as well, and Elle said, "Baba, Elle miss you."

Leo smiled with his eyes brimming with unconditional love and he spoke in such a soft voice that many women on the live stream had tears in their eyes, as Leo said, "Baba missed you too darling."

Then Lily readjusted herself in Leo’s arms as the young man sat up against the headboard, and said, "Hmm, since we want to listen to stories, what kind of a story shall I tell you?"

Elle clapped her hands and said, "Princess."

Jule shook his head and replied, "Wolf."

Lily tilted her head and said, "I will leave the decision to you, Baba."

The young man smiled and replied as he said, "Far away in a world lived a Princess, she was virtuous and kind, but she didn’t rule kingdoms, she was a person like you and me, living among the masses, and nobody knew her identity."

The children didn’t kick a fuss, they were hooked to the story in an instant. Leo continued, the story evolved from a princess navigating mundane life to becoming the chosen one who fell in love with a werewolf, who then fought to protect her as she brought love to his life and taught him compassion.

Gradually, the children fell asleep, because while they were curious about the story, they didn’t understand romance, so they calmed down and gradually got bored and fell asleep. Snow sighed in relief, as she asked Leo with an amused smile, "How do you always do it?"

Leo smiled as he leaned back on the bed, "I don’t know."

Snow kept smiling for a bit before she said, "Well, Love, you should also go to bed, I saw the highlights of the stream today, you had a hard day at the farm."

Leo shook his head and replied, "No, it was fun, I learned a lot about how things work there, and I was wondering if this biogas model could be adapted on a larger scale. We might be able to use this model and the fertilizer produced from the cycle to re-forest the barren mountains of the north and enforce the embankments on the coasts. I think that Ivory peaks might find this useful and the cost of the green Tsunami wall might come down by a lot from this."

Snow smiled and said, "Yes, yes, Chairman Cardinal, you can use these models that you see here to support the large scale situations at your own discretion but can you please not discuss this online with me? I hold a important position as well. Shall we wait till my tenure is over."

Leo chuckled and said, "Fine, as you command my lady."

The two of them talk for a bit, and the call was disconnected, and Leo held Lily to sleep. But he didn’t forget to check the notification that the system had left in the evening when the task results had come out. The task was to look after the children of the other people and teach the Fathers all around the world on how to spend time with children and how to handle them in a positive manner.
