Chapter 562: All Gathered, Lily Is A Little Adult.

Leo quickly moved close to Nova, helped him take the big slab of his shoulder and gently placed it down on the ground, as Lily also shared some load from Maya. The little girl turned to look at Nova and said, "Uncle Nova, could you not have made a second trip with all these things? Look at poor Maya, she is so tired."

Nova wanted to retort but he didn’t know how to, because while he saw the plight of his daughter, he could not do anything about it, this is the only way he knew how to raise kids. Leo saw his embarrassment and said, "Lily, he just wanted to finish early so that Maya could eat sooner, don’t talk like that to your elders."

Lily realized that she had said something wrong and said, "I apologize, Uncle Nova, it’s just I got too worried about Maya."

Nova sighed and crouched down to the ground and met the gaze of the little girl before him and said, "It is alright, you didn’t say anything wrong. I was inconsiderate just now, and didn’t realize that Maya was just a baby."

Lily wanted to say something when Maya stepped forward and said, "Baba, I am fine."

Then she turned to look at Lily and said, "Sister Lily, I am fine, I was just a little out of breath. But I am fine now."

Lily sighed, she shook her head like a little adult and said, "Fine, you are fine, come sit down for a bit and have some water."

Maya shook her head and replied, "I need to help my Baba with the stove."

Lily frowned and then said, "You did three tasks, now you cannot help him further or you will lose the task. Let my Baba help him. They are both older men, they are strong, and they would handle it on their own. We are children and our task is to eat and play."

Leo shook his head as he said, "Mister Delectus, shall we get on with it?"

Nova smiled and said, "Please just call me Nova. Everytime someone calls me Delectus, it reminds me of the force. I would like to be called Nova so that I can adjust a little better in this world."

Leo smiled and replied, "Sure. Let’s go."

That said, the two men carried the big slab of stone to the side, and used some smaller stones to support it from two points and created a small stone stove. Nova found a small hammer and then began to crush the few bumps on the slab. Leo nodded and said, "This can totally be used to grill some meat strips."

Nova nodded and replied, "I read a little about this place before coming over, and I heard that the people here loved some grilled meat strips. Though I am wondering where I can find some meat from."

Just when they were talking, Louis and his son Damon walked in the courtyard. They were carrying something that was wrapped in banana leaf, and Damon was carrying a wok with a small butane stove placed inside it.

Leo raised his brow and asked, "Champ, what magic spell did you cast? I can smell some game here."

Louis chuckled and replied, "I went to a restaurant here, and found the chef and just when I was about to talk to him. His young son recognized me and well, I got these few things from them in return for a few pictures."

Damon was also five years old and he mumbled, "I didn’t know that people would love scary drivers so much."

Leo chuckled at this and Lily asked, "What do you mean scary drivers? Uncle Louis has the lowest crash history in the rally scene."

Damon shook his head and replied, "Have you ever driven a fast car?"

Lily raised her brow and said, "Hey, who are you looking down on? I am a trainee kart driver. Underage drivers are not allowed to compete in cars. But you won’t be able to catch me in Motorworld either. I am among the top five drivers, okay. Hmph."

Damon was surprised and he curiously asked, "Don’t you feel scared when you ride those Karts at such high speeds?"

Lily shook her head and replied, "My Baba is a world champion, why should I be afraid of high speeds? You wait, when I grow up, I will also become a champion. Just wait."

Louis chuckled and said, "Lily, how about you come and ride along with me next time I have a rally here?"

Lily smiled and said, "Uncle Louis, thank you for the invitation. I am very grateful but I don’t trust other people much behind the wheel apart from my Baba. But I can race you in the Motorworld when we are done here."

The people chuckled at her, and Nova asked, "Ummm, Mister Haland, can I borrow some of that meat from you?"

Louis smiled and said, "Do you want to be so formal with me? I am just Louis, I will give you half of it if you call me that."

The three men began talking about the delicious food all around the world and Lily sighed while looking at them, and said, "Men are so simple."

The audience on the live stream laughed, and Damon said, "But I am not simple."

Lily rolled her eyes and replied, "Don’t feel bad, you are not a man yet. Come, let us peel some nuts and then have my Baba cook them off."

Just as the two kids were about to agree, they heard a loud commotion from the outside. Out of curiosity they walked out and found that the fourth contestant of the show, Matthew Cottons and his son Hayden were being dropped at the door accompanied by a lot of ladies and young girls.

Lily raised her eyebrow and asked, "Wow, he seems to be very popular."

Maya nodded and replied, "Yes, he played the role of Prince Atman in the new movie, and I liked it a lot."

Lily nodded and replied, "I have no idea what you are talking about. I don’t have time to watch such movies, but I have read the book, Prince Atman and the Holy Cave."

None of the people had any idea what to say to her.

When Matthew Cottons came inside he sighed and said while looking at everyone, "I swear, I need to bring my wife out more. Hayden was almost forcefully adopted by some ladies today."

Everyone laughed out loud.
