Chapter 394: Chapter 207: Spirit Realm, Traces of the Ancient Tree Deer Spirit

"Thorn Spirits!"

Pei Ze raised an eyebrow. He finally knew which warrior race guarded this forest.

Thorn Spirits were known as the warriors among Spirit Creatures, the homeland defenders of many a Spirit Realm.

Adult, trained Thorn Spirit warriors generally possessed elite sword-and-shield combat skills and mastered various plant-controlling, magic-like abilities. Their combat prowess was no weaker than that of Tier Three or Four Legendary Knights.

In a forest environment, they could exert a formidable combat strength one tier higher than their own level.

Thus, although Thorn Spirits were not numerous, every single one of them was an elite.

"Thorny Foot Insects, Multi-Body Insects, Thick Rock Insects... Why are there so many Alien Insects here? Why didn’t the guards on outer patrol send a warning?" Pasha murmured in alarm.

Pei Ze said calmly, "Because they tunneled in from underground."

"Underground?" Pasha was stunned.

Pei Ze didn’t answer. A brilliant flash of lightning suddenly flared at his fingertip before plunging into the ground like an arrow.

A few seconds later, Pasha suddenly felt the ground begin to tremble slightly, as if countless monsters were rolling and writhing beneath the earth. Faint, pained howls could also be heard.

BOOM!

The ground suddenly exploded. Countless fragments of rock shot out like bullets as a monster resembling a massively magnified earthworm burst from underground. It swayed a few times with a wail before crashing to the ground, motionless.

Through the shattered crater, one could vaguely see many similar insect corpses below.

"Earthworms!" Pasha exclaimed.

She finally understood. The Alien Insects had all been transported here by the Earthworms. No wonder the guards on outer patrol had been completely unaware.

After casually killing the Earthworm, a dazzling light flared up around Pei Ze once more, like golden serpents dancing wildly.

With a casual point of his finger, ball after ball of lightning shot out, one after another, pouring toward the nearby insect swarm like an endless torrent.

The wildly dancing, ferocious electric serpents weaved through the area. They linked up into chains, beams, and nets, precisely avoiding the Thorn Spirits while striking one Insect Beast after another. The attack became a continuous series of bright flashes and explosions—simple and monotonous, yet overwhelmingly powerful.

In the blink of an eye, the more than two hundred Insect Beasts were all turned to charcoal, completely wiped out.

The once-furious battlefield fell instantly silent.

The Thorn Spirits stared blankly at the scene before them, their expressions dazed. Their mouths hung open, and for a long while, they couldn’t snap out of it.

Pasha was also stunned. Her beautiful eyes were wide with shock.

Although she had long guessed that Pei Ze must be powerful, she never imagined he would be *this* powerful.

More than two hundred Alien Insects, including several powerful Tier Two ones, had been completely annihilated by Pei Ze in a single exchange. The scene was utterly beyond her imagination.

After a long moment, a male Thorn Spirit who seemed to be their leader was the first to recover. He turned to Pasha and asked, "Pasha, this is..."

Pasha snapped back to her senses and quickly said, "This... Lord Pei Ze is a Wizard from the Star Realm Alliance."

A Wizard!

The Thorn Spirits looked at each other, a hint of realization dawning amidst their surprise.

’No wonder he’s so powerful. He’s a Wizard from the Star Realm Alliance.’

In the Multiverse, the word "Wizard" was practically synonymous with "powerhouse."

Especially for the relatively weaker Spirit Creatures, Wizards were mighty beings to be looked up to in awe.

"Thank you for your aid, Lord Wizard!"

The lead Thorn Spirit stepped forward and thanked Pei Ze with a sincere expression.

Pasha promptly made the introduction, "This is Cameron. He’s the deputy captain of the Forest Guard Team."

She then said to Cameron, "Pei Ze is currently searching for his friends, members of the Ancient Tree Deer Spirit Race. Cameron, have you seen them?"

"The Ancient Tree Deer Spirits?" Cameron’s expression turned thoughtful. After a moment, he slowly nodded. "I think I have seen them. It was about three months ago. I was hunting an Alien Insect at the time and saw them resting by a lake."

A look of joy appeared on Pei Ze’s face. He quickly asked, "And which way did they go after that?"

Cameron pondered for a moment. "There were several other Magical Creature races nearby at the time. They were likely migrating together to escape the Alien Insect Army. If I’m not mistaken, they probably headed toward the Red Agate Mountain Range."

At this, he sighed. "Right now, on the entire plane, the Red Agate Mountain Range is the only place that hasn’t been ravaged by the Alien Insects."
