Chapter 364: Chapter 199: Red Dragon God Chasssa, the Demon’s Gate

Ye Sinan passed through the swirling branches unimpeded, smoothly reaching the island’s center and disappearing inside without a backward glance.

As her figure vanished, the pillar of light visibly shrank.

The Wizards on the island who witnessed this froze. They instantly realized that only a limited number of people could enter the second level. Their expressions soured, and they immediately gathered their strength and charged toward the pillar.

’There’s a limit on the number of people, too.’

Pei Ze clicked his tongue.

Initially, when faced with the onslaught of swirling branches, most of the Wizards had opted to play it safe, cautiously approaching the pillar of light.

But with the reveal of this limit, they all sped up frantically, as if someone had stepped on their tails.

After all, no one knew how many more people the pillar could admit. If they were a step too slow, they would be eliminated immediately.

Pei Ze didn’t dare to delay any longer either. He quickly cast two more ancient runes on his Silver Star.

The metal spikes circling him erupted with brilliant lightning, and their speed surged once more. Any nearby branches that got close were instantly scorched to ash by arcing serpents of electricity.

Before long, Pei Ze also reached the pillar of light. Without pausing, he transformed into a streak of light and plunged inside.

A blinding light instantly filled his vision.

When the light faded, Pei Ze focused his gaze and found himself in another wasteland. Twenty or thirty Wizards were already gathered nearby.

Gong Quanhai and Yin Yao were also among them.

Both were surprised to see Pei Ze, not expecting him to have broken through the barrier of branches and reached the second level so quickly.

However, their surprise was fleeting, and they didn’t pay him much mind.

Arriving at the second level faster didn’t mean much. Many stronger Wizards had chosen to conserve their strength for the later trials, taking a slow and steady approach.

In contrast, the weaker Wizards had gone all out, and thus reached the second level faster.

All in all, the first level was merely designed to weed out the weaker participants; it didn’t really showcase who was truly powerful.

The later levels of the tower would be the true test of one’s strength.

Pei Ze paid no mind to the others’ gazes. His attention was completely captivated by the scene in the distance.

At the far end of the wasteland, a figure as massive as a mountain range came into view.

It was a colossal, crimson-red dragon!

It lay prone on the ground, completely still. Its wings hung limply at its sides, making it seem as though it were either deep in slumber or already dead.

After all, not a single trace of life could be sensed from it.

But even so, its towering frame—thousands of meters long and covered in crimson scales—still emanated an incredibly heavy, oppressive aura.

It was like an unarmed child coming face to face with a prehistoric predator.

Despite being several kilometers away, everyone present felt a tightness in their chest, as if a heavy stone was pressing down on them, creating the illusion of suffocation.

"What is that?" one of the Wizards couldn’t help but ask. "A red dragon?"

Someone immediately retorted, "Impossible! Even an Ancient Dragon that has lived for over a thousand years wouldn’t be that massive!"

Many others nodded in agreement.

Even a red dragon at the Ancient Dragon tier would be at the Fifth or Sixth Level at most. It could never exert such immense pressure on them from so far away.

That was something only an existence on par with a Rule Wizard could achieve!

As for it being an Illusion Technique, that was even more unlikely.

It was doubtful even a Rule Wizard could cast an Illusion Technique so powerful and lifelike!

"If I’m not mistaken, that should be the Red Dragon God Chasssa, one of Tiamat’s five divine aspects!"

A tall, burly man suddenly spoke, his voice instantly silencing the surrounding chatter.

Pei Ze turned to look. He heard others whispering, catching the name "Fei Xian".

’Fei Xian? The Chosen One who is said to have the bloodline of the ancient creature Serasi?’

’I’ve heard he’s widely considered one of the top contenders to win this Battle of the Holy Ring.’

As Fei Xian spoke, all eyes focused on him.

"The Red Dragon God Chasssa? What is it doing here?"

"Could it have been killed by the master of this Wizard Tower and imprisoned here?"

"That’s very possible. No wonder there’s been no news of Chasssa since the Dark Age!"

A buzz of discussion erupted among the crowd.

Tiamat is the Five-Colored Dragon God, the Evil Dragon King.

The so-called Five-Colored Dragons consist of five types—red, black, blue, green, and white—and are generally considered to be evil dragons.

Tiamat therefore has five different divine aspects, equivalent to five separate avatars.

He appears before red dragon followers in the form of the Red Dragon God, before black dragon followers in the form of the Black Dragon God, and so forth.

Tiamat is a high-tier Divine Spirit whose power rivals that of an overgod, making it nearly impossible to destroy or imprison.

Therefore, what lay here could only be one of his avatars.

Yet even a single avatar possessed power approaching that of a Middle-tier Deity. For it to be imprisoned here... this couldn’t have been the work of a Wizard from the Star Realm Alliance. After all, no one had ever heard of a Wizard from the Alliance slaying the Red Dragon God Chasssa. This could only have been the work of the Wizard Tower’s original master.

This just went to show how powerful the Wizard Tower’s original master was!

Pei Ze marveled at the revelation, but his gaze soon fell upon the pillar of light beside the Red Dragon God Chasssa.

Clearly, that was the passage to the third level.

As for the trial itself, the nature of it was also quite obvious.

The aura emanating from the Red Dragon God Chasssa was so immense that it nearly suffocated them from kilometers away. One could only imagine the pressure they would have to endure to get close to it.
