Chapter 356: Chapter 197: The Limit of Level 3 Crystallization, The Path After Legendary Knight

He had to admit, Mo Weng’s promise was incredibly tempting to Pei Ze.

The risks of slaying a god were immense, but so were the rewards for success.

A Divine Spirit was a walking treasure vault, containing its divine body, Divine Power, divinity, Divine Fire, Divine Blood... The list of treasures was practically endless!

If he could take part, even a tiny fraction of the spoils would be a massive gain for Pei Ze.

However, tempting as it was, he wasn’t yet strong enough to participate in a god-slaying battle, so he had to set the matter aside for now.

After that, Pei Ze threw himself back into his training as usual, resuming his intensely fulfilling routine.

Time flew by.

...

「Star Realm Calendar 14528, May 8th.」

In the Meditation Room, Pei Ze sat cross-legged on the floor. A wide, joyous smile spread across his face as he looked at the information from the Eye of Omniscience.

[Spirit: 1152.00]

[Physique: 856.12]

Just as he’d expected, after completely analyzing the nine ancient runes, his Spiritual Power had successfully reached the limit for the Crystal tier.

With that, the second condition for igniting the Elemental Fire was met.

’Now, all that’s left is my physique.’

Pei Ze clenched his fist, his eyes flashing as he stared at his palm.

In fact, over four months ago, he had already broken through to the tenth level of the All-Knowing Breathing Technique, successfully advancing to Tier Seven Legendary.

His physique now met the minimum standard required to ignite the Elemental Fire.

He could attempt the advancement whenever he wished.

’I just wonder if I’d succeed if I tried to advance now.’

Pei Ze muttered to himself, then focused and silently commanded:

’Omniscience, calculate my current success rate for igniting the Elemental Fire based on all available data.’

The Eye of Omniscience gave its feedback almost instantaneously.

[81.35%]

’A little over eighty percent, huh...’

Pei Ze inwardly shook his head.

’That success rate is still a bit too low.’

But then again, his physique was only just barely up to par, and his only other advantage was the Heart of Elements.

For an ordinary Wizard, these conditions combined would, at best, only raise the success rate to over ninety percent.

The difficulty of his advancement, however, was far greater than an ordinary Wizard’s. It was only to be expected that his success rate would be lower under the same conditions.

In fact, getting over eighty percent was actually pretty good.

With that thought, Pei Ze felt more at ease.

’I’ll just have to keep strengthening my physique. I need to raise the success rate to over ninety percent!’

Pei Ze silently made up his mind.

Igniting the Elemental Fire required shattering all three of his Spirit Crystals. If he failed, his life wouldn’t be in danger, and his Spiritual Power wouldn’t be lost, but he would have to re-form the Spirit Crystals.

That process would consume a great deal of time, effort, and resources.

That was why no Crystal Wizard would rashly attempt to ignite the Elemental Fire without being certain of success.

Pei Ze was no exception.

Although failure wasn’t life-threatening, it would significantly slow down his progress. It was far better to be fully prepared before attempting the advancement.

’By the time my physique reaches around 900, the All-Knowing Breathing Technique should be ready to break through to the eleventh level.’

Pei Ze calculated mentally.

Once he mastered the twelfth and final level of the All-Knowing Breathing Technique and advanced to Tier Nine Legendary, his success rate for igniting the Elemental Fire should rise above ninety percent.

After that, however, he would have to find new ways to continue strengthening his physique quickly.

’Speaking of which, what is the path for a Knight after Tier Nine Legendary?’

The thought suddenly occurred to Pei Ze.

He only knew that the Knight path was divided into Tiers One through Nine Legendary. He was unclear about the realms beyond that.

’I’ll ask my teacher another day.’

’In the meantime, though, I need to find a way to strengthen my physique.’

Now that his Spiritual Power had reached its limit, his physique could no longer be rapidly boosted by its growth. Relying on the All-Knowing Breathing Technique alone, however, meant his physical growth would be incredibly slow.

By Pei Ze’s estimation, relying solely on the All-Knowing Breathing Technique to raise his physique to 900 would take at least two years.

Of course, he couldn’t wait that long.

The only solution was to find wondrous items or potions that could strengthen his physique.

Pei Ze decided he would soon set aside time to do some research and see what wondrous items or potions were suitable for strengthening the physique of a Tier Seven Legendary Knight.

’Speaking of which, the Battle of the Holy Ring is about to begin.’

The Battle of the Holy Ring was scheduled for May 28th, and today was already May 8th. There were only twenty days left.

Pei Ze stood up, walked out into the corridor, and looked up at the crescent moon high in the sky. A strange light glinted in his eyes.

His strength had reached the limit of the third tier, and with his many trump cards, he wouldn’t be the least bit afraid even if he had to face the rumored "Chosen Ones."

He was even eager to test his mettle against them, to see where his power truly stood among the younger generation of the Star Realm Alliance.

"CAW!"

A hoarse cry broke Pei Ze out of his reverie.

He caught a black shadow streaking toward him like a bolt of lightning out of the corner of his eye, but he didn’t dodge. Instead, he smiled warmly as Wuyu landed lightly on him.

"All done, little one?" Pei Ze asked, stroking Wuyu’s cool feathers.

"CAW!" Wuyu flapped its wings by way of an answer.

The smile on Pei Ze’s face deepened.

He may have been busy with his training lately, but he hadn’t neglected Wuyu.

Su Ya and Peng Yan had been collecting the corvid Magical Creatures from the list and feeding them to Wuyu.
