Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 308 - 182: The Dragon Egg’s Natural Markings, Wuyu’s Advancement
Chapter 308: Chapter 182: The Dragon Egg’s Natural Markings, Wuyu’s Advancement
’The twelfth layer of the All-Knowing Breathing Technique corresponds to a ninth-rank Legendary Knight. If I want to advance further while maintaining my current cultivation speed, I’ll have to create a new Cultivation Technique,’ Pei Ze mused to himself.
But there was no rush for that, either.
The All-Knowing Breathing Technique would be sufficient at least until he broke through to become an Elemental Mage. After that advancement, he would naturally gain access to more esoteric knowledge. With the Eye of Omniscience, creating a new Cultivation Technique at that point would not be difficult.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Pei Ze felt for the dimensional bag inside his sleeve.
The bodies of the three Pei Family Wizards he had killed a few days ago were inside the dimensional bag.
Because all three had once fused with evil creatures, their blood was long contaminated. Thus, Pei Ze had no intention of extracting it for the purpose of Refining Bloodline Marks.
’What a pity. Otherwise, the blood of three Second-level Wizards could have been used to refine at least eight or nine Bloodline Marks, and they would have definitely been more powerful than Pei Zhanqing’s.’
Pei Ze felt a tinge of regret.
Although he still had five Silver Frost Disaster Wolf Bloodline Marks, one could never have too many trump cards.
’There’s also the Shadow Giant Dragon’s Dragon Egg.’
With a thought, a Dragon Egg about a meter tall appeared out of thin air on the ground before him, emitting a faint, cold light in the dim cave.
The jet-black eggshell looked like a layer of slowly flowing shadow, but upon closer inspection, one could see countless, almost imperceptible silver lines beneath its profound darkness, faintly forming some kind of abstruse talismanic pattern.
’A natural Talisman Array pattern... perhaps this is the secret to why dragons possess immense power from birth.’
Pei Ze clicked his tongue in amazement.
After observing it intently for a moment, Pei Ze discovered that the Dragon Egg seemed to be continuously absorbing Energy Particles from the surrounding air.
However, perhaps because the aura of death in the valley was too dense, making other Energy Particles scarce, the absorption was not very noticeable.
Pei Ze immediately had an idea. He cast Mage’s Hand to pick up the Dragon Egg and left the cave, heading outside the valley.
Far from the valley and no longer shrouded in the aura of death, the Dragon Egg’s rate of absorbing Energy Particles noticeably quickened.
’As expected. This natural talismanic pattern can continuously and automatically absorb surrounding Energy Particles. The hatchling will only be born after it has absorbed enough.’
’No wonder it takes at least ten to twenty years for a Shadow Giant Dragon Egg to hatch.’
A glint appeared in Pei Ze’s eyes as a thought suddenly flashed through his mind.
’If I were to improve this talismanic pattern, could I shorten the hatching time for the Shadow Giant Dragon Egg?’
’Could I even enhance the hatchling’s initial strength and potential?’
’Going even further, could this natural talismanic pattern be applied to a Wizard’s body, allowing them to automatically absorb Energy Particles around the clock, not just during Meditation?’
’If that’s possible, wouldn’t my Spiritual Power be able to grow nonstop?!’
Pei Ze’s eyes lit up instantly.
’It’s worth a try!’
"Omniscience, using the natural pattern on the Dragon Egg as a reference, create a talismanic pattern that will allow my Spirit Crystal to continuously and automatically absorb Energy Particles."
[Task created. Beginning creation of a talismanic pattern for automatic Energy Particle absorption. Estimated requirement: 26,833 energy units of Spiritual Power.]
Pei Ze frowned.
’That’s way too much Spiritual Power.’
Even if he pushed it at full speed, it would still take at least four months to complete.
But on second thought, if such a talismanic pattern were successfully created, it would absolutely be an invention capable of shocking the entire Wizard World. It was no surprise that it consumed a great deal of Spiritual Power.
’A little longer is fine. As long as it succeeds, the time it takes for me to break through to second-level crystallization will be greatly reduced.’
A joyful smile appeared on Pei Ze’s face.
After a moment, he issued a new command.
"Omniscience, improve the natural pattern on the Shadow Giant Dragon Egg. Increase its Energy Particle absorption efficiency to shorten the hatching time and enhance the hatchling’s initial strength and potential."
[Task created. Beginning improvement of the Dragon Egg’s natural pattern. Estimated requirement: 4,721 energy units of Spiritual Power.]
Pei Ze nodded to himself. This task required far less Spiritual Power; twenty-odd days would be enough to complete it.
’But for now, the talismanic pattern task is the priority.’
’The sooner I create the new pattern, the sooner I can break through.’
Stowing the Dragon Egg away, Pei Ze turned and returned to the cave.
The moment he stepped into the cave, his expression suddenly shifted. With a flash, his figure appeared in the depths of the cave, his gaze fixed on the slumbering Wuyu in the corner.
Under his gaze, Wuyu’s eyelids twitched gently before slowly opening, revealing cold, calm pupils.
Only when its eyes shifted to see Pei Ze beside it did a flicker of human-like affection pass through its cold pupils.
"Little one, how do you feel?" Pei Ze smiled, stroking Wuyu’s feathers.
He could clearly feel a tremendous, surging energy within its small body.
It was a power so formidable that even he felt a slight sense of alarm!
After devouring over a thousand Netherworld Crows, Wuyu’s Power of Death had clearly been enhanced to an astonishing degree.
CAW!
Wuyu cawed and flapped its wings. The surrounding aura of death, as if drawn by an invisible force, rushed frantically toward it and poured into its body.
In an instant, the aura of death inside the cave was completely absorbed.
Pei Ze’s eyes lit up. From this scene alone, he knew Wuyu’s strength had increased significantly. He estimated that its combat power was now likely on par with a Level 3 Wizard.
"It’s a shame there isn’t a suitable opponent for you to test your combat skills on."
Pei Ze felt a little regretful. His Level 4 Monster Summoning Technique could, at most, summon Otherworldly Creatures at the standard of second-level gasification.
