Chapter 439: Chapter 423: Jiang Xia’s Public Lecture (Part 2)

A little while later, the class bell rang, and the Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management arrived.

Lin Yanwan sat up straight and whispered to Jiang Xia, "I’m going to focus on the lecture. You do your own thing, and don’t disturb me."

Jiang Xia nodded. ’How could I possibly disturb her during class?’

’I can’t just sneakily touch my wife’s thigh, can I?’

’Huh, on second thought... maybe I can.’

He surveyed their surroundings. They were in a corner in the back row against the wall. Due to his status, no one was sitting near them, and the security camera’s angle couldn’t see what was happening under the desk.

With that thought, while mulling over a script, Jiang Xia stealthily extended a paw. He was certain that no one could see anything from this angle.

Lin Yanwan’s body instantly stiffened. She subconsciously pressed her legs together, a shy blush creeping into her eyes.

She shot an embarrassed and annoyed glance at the nonchalant Jiang Xia, then quickly lowered her head to pretend to read her textbook. She used her pen to write in her notebook, "We’re in class! What are you doing!?"

"Shh, don’t move, darling. You don’t want anyone to see our little escapade, do you?"

Lin Yanwan: "..."

She took a deep breath, glared fiercely at Jiang Xia, and forced herself to focus on the lecturing professor. ’If I had known this would happen when I let this guy come to class with me, I would’ve just let him sleep in the car.’

The class was on Strategy and Corporate Management. The Vice Dean was discussing case studies while observing the students, and a flash of surprise crossed his eyes when he spotted Jiang Xia in the back corner.

By now, Lin Yanwan and Jiang Xia were celebrities in the School of Fine Arts and the School of Economics and Management; there wasn’t a professor who didn’t recognize them.

What he hadn’t expected was that President Jiang himself had come to attend his lecture.

"In the age of the knowledge economy, knowledge has become the most strategic resource and asset, the decisive factor in a company’s core competitiveness..."

The Vice Dean was explaining the relevant theories when he suddenly changed his tune. "I just noticed that we have a successful entrepreneur in our class today..."

Almost every student turned to look at the back corner at the same time. It was obvious the "successful entrepreneur" he was referring to was Jiang Xia.

"To be honest, I’ve never been a boss myself. Instead of listening to me lecture about high-level theories, how about we let President Jiang Xia give everyone a lesson?" the Vice Dean said with a smile.

Jiang Xia, who was in the middle of stroking his wife’s smooth thigh, froze. ’Wait, you guys just carry on with the class. Why are you dragging me into this?’

Lin Yanwan shot him a teasing look. ’That’s what you get for misbehaving in class.’

"How about it, President Jiang? Why don’t you share some insights with everyone?"

Jiang Xia met the many expectant gazes and felt a bit helpless. ’Am I being put on the spot here?’

"Alright..."

He discreetly pulled his hand back.

Jiang Xia walked to the podium with a calm expression, cleared his throat, and paused for a moment in thought. Then, he picked up a piece of chalk and wrote "The Strategic Analysis of Dili Dili" on the blackboard.

The Vice Dean, who had stepped to the side, had his eyes light up. He originally thought Jiang Xia would talk about the core philosophy of Qitian Animation, but he was pleasantly surprised he chose D Station, a much more fitting topic for this class.

Qitian Animation was an animation company focused on creating quality content. To be honest, its framework and core foundation were relatively simple.

D Station, however, was different. Beyond just video playback, it had its bullet-comment culture, creator incentive programs, a premium membership system, and an advertising business. It also involved competitive advantages in the industry, methods for monetization, and more.

You could say that each of these modules could be a separate lecture in itself.

His choice of topic was simply perfect.

"Everyone, I trust you’ve all used the website Dili Dili before, right?" Jiang Xia said with a smile.

"President Jiang, I’m a fan of yours!"

"President Jiang, I’m a hardcore D Station user!"

"I love D Station so much! I’m even thinking of becoming a Creator! I just haven’t decided what kind of content to make yet."

"Is that so? Then you should watch and learn as much as you can, do what you’re interested in, and finally, get some advice from our resident experts."

As he spoke, Jiang Xia pointed toward Si Si and Cui Jiaying. As creators with 600,000 followers, they had plenty of experience in that area.

Right then and there, many students started chattering and discussing amongst themselves. It was clear they were excited to talk about something that interested them as young people.

"Alright then. Today, I’ll tell you all why I started D Station, and how D Station became number one in the industry in just over a year."

He said with a laugh, "Today’s lecture involves a lot of core strategies, you know. I trust no one will leak this, right?"

Instantly, the entire class burst into laughter.

"Society is advancing, technology is developing. In this era of the mobile internet, there are countless opportunities. Even a pig can fly if it’s standing in the path of the right gust of wind."

"I chose to create Dili Dili at this juncture simply because I foresaw that interactivity would become the mainstream. I knew that traditional video sites were doomed to decline; those that can’t keep up with the times are destined to be eliminated."

Jiang Xia spoke with eloquence and confidence from the podium. Someone must have spread the news that he was in a School of Economics and Management class, because students from other majors started trickling in, just to hear him speak.

Before anyone knew it, the first class period ended, but Jiang Xia showed no intention of stopping. He continued to lecture on D Station’s development philosophy and business model, and he even mentioned a few upcoming market trends. If anyone could seize those opportunities, a few more billionaires would probably be minted.

Gradually, more and more students who heard the news arrived, until the back of the classroom was packed with people standing.

Witnessing this scene, the Vice Dean couldn’t help but click his tongue in amazement. He never had this many students in his usual classes; he was lucky if some of them didn’t skip.

When the bell rang again, signaling the end of class, Jiang Xia finally concluded his lecture.

Many had been listening with rapt attention, even feeling it was a shame they couldn’t hear a few more lectures from President Jiang. His predictions about future market trends were bold and ahead of their time, yet they made perfect sense.

Living in the 3G era, they couldn’t yet imagine the market disruption the 4G era would bring. The acceleration in the speed of information dissemination would give birth to several markets worth hundreds of billions.

After class, Jiang Xia was swarmed by a crowd of people asking for his autograph. For the first time, he experienced the troubles of being too popular.

After he finally managed to deal with his zealous fans, Lin Yanwan approached him with a mischievous chuckle, handing him a bottle of mineral water.

"Teacher Jiang, that was quite a lecture. Would you like to do it again next time?"

Jiang Xia rolled his eyes. He could have spent this class sneakily getting frisky with his wife, but instead, he was forced to put on a show and do some pro bono work.

’I guess bad deeds really do get punished.’

"Forget it, I’m exhausted." He took a long drink of water, GULP GULP GULP GULP GULP, to soothe his slightly dry throat.

Lin Yanwan inwardly gloated.

The two said goodbye to Cui Jiaying and Si Si and were about to head back to the company with Qiuting, but the girl was afraid of being a third wheel and insisted on riding her bike there instead.

The moment they got in the car, Jiang Xia rolled up the windows, pushed his wife onto his lap, and gave her a few firm spanks.

"Hmph, don’t think I didn’t see you. You were the one laughing the hardest just now! And you didn’t even think to help your husband out of that jam!"

Lin Yanwan looked up with a pout, gazing at him with teary eyes. "Waaah... who told you to bully me during class... Ah..."

Jiang Xia looked at his wife’s expression of feigned resistance. If they weren’t in a busy Tsinghua University parking lot with people coming and going, he would have made her pay a little price right then and there.

Ever since he bought the car, he hadn’t tried *it* out yet.

’Maybe I should find a safer spot and give it a try tonight?’
