After the Divorce, I Unlocked a Perfect Life
Chapter 390 - 242: You’re Smothering Me
After leaving Zhao Fangfei’s house, Lin Jiang drove to the company.
Today, officials from Red Star Town were going to inspect the processing plant, and he absolutely couldn’t be late.
This was an excellent opportunity. If he could secure some favorable policies and get a plot of land approved, Mu Xing would undoubtedly enter a period of rapid development.
But whether or not he could secure such policies would depend on his luck.
When he arrived at the company, Lin Jiang gave Chen Jingxian a call.
Before long, Chen Jingxian emerged from the building, purse in hand.
She wore a white skirt with a form-fitting gray top and a matching suit jacket. A pair of nude stockings hugged her full legs, and her professional, stylish outfit made for a beautiful sight.
Once Chen Jingxian got in the car, Lin Jiang started driving toward Red Star Town.
"I’ve noticed your style has changed a lot recently. It’s a little different than before."
"You have the nerve to say that," Chen Jingxian chided.
"Why shouldn’t I be able to say it?"
"Didn’t you say you liked this style? I’m just dressing to your tastes."
"In that case, I’ll have to give you special praise. Keep up the good work, and I’ll keep giving you raises."
Chen Jingxian’s expression turned mischievous. "Does this mean I’ve won the boss’s favor?"
"Of course. The boss is very pleased with your outfit, but..."
"But what?"
"I still have to inspect it and see how it feels to the touch," Lin Jiang said with a straight face. "If it doesn’t feel good, you can forget about that raise."
"You’re unbelievable."
Chen Jingxian wrinkled her delicate nose, looking quite girlish, but she didn’t object.
"You’re just looking for an excuse to misbehave. Don’t think I can’t see through you."
"So what if you know? Are you going to defy your boss’s wishes?"
Chen Jingxian said nothing, but she pressed her legs together and leaned slightly toward the center console.
"There we go. That’s the attitude an employee should have."
"To think you’d even grope your own sister-in-law. You’re truly rotten."
"That’s not what you said when you were devouring me."
"You’re so annoying! If you keep this up, I won’t be so nice to you anymore."
A light blush crept onto Chen Jingxian’s cheeks. If Lin Jiang weren’t driving, she would have definitely pinched him.
"Alright, I’ll stop. So how are you going to be nice to me?"
"I’m not telling you. Hmph."
"If you won’t tell me, I’ll just grope you some more until you’ve made up your mind."
"Be serious. It’s dangerous to drive with one hand."
Chen Jingxian warned him, but she didn’t tell him to remove his hand.
"You have to trust my skills. This is nothing to me."
Chatting and flirting, they soon arrived in Red Star Town.
Throughout the process, Lin Jiang’s hand never left her, caressing her back and forth, thoroughly enjoying himself.
"Pull your skirt up a little. It’s a bit inconvenient like this."
"But you can already touch everything, can’t you?" Chen Jingxian said coquettishly.
"I want to feel the top of your thigh."
Chen Jingxian’s heart skipped a beat. ’If I really let Lin Jiang feel the top of my thigh, he’ll definitely touch... that area...’
"Just focus on driving and stop thinking about that."
Lin Jiang said slowly, "Xiaochen, you’d better do what your boss says. Unless you don’t want this month’s paycheck."
"You’re going to be the death of me..."
The suggestive atmosphere was intoxicating.
Chen Jingxian shifted in her seat and pulled her skirt up, revealing the tops of her thighs.
Lin Jiang rested his hand on her. "Now that’s what I call a good employee."
Chen Jingxian didn’t object, but it was obvious from her unnatural expression that she was a little uncomfortable.
Her expression only relaxed a little after they arrived and Lin Jiang parked the car.
Before getting out, Chen Jingxian straightened her clothes and skirt, grumbling to herself, ’That was so uncomfortable. I’m not letting him touch me next time.’
He parked in the Mu Xing company compound, and He Xuelu came out to greet them.
"President Lin, President Chen."
Since Chen Jingxian also held the position of vice president, He Xuelu had always addressed her that way.
"President He," Chen Jingxian replied with a smile.
Lin Jiang glanced at his watch. The town officials would be arriving at 2 p.m., leaving him an hour to look around the factory.
"We have an hour. Come with me and let’s take a look at the factory."
"President Lin, this way."
He Xuelu made a welcoming gesture, leading Lin Jiang and Chen Jingxian into the factory grounds.
Lin Jiang inspected every nook and cranny with great care.
He had to admit that He Xuelu had implemented his ideas thoroughly. In terms of sanitation and safety, he couldn’t find a single fault.
Because the factory had been established a long time ago, both the equipment and the environment seemed a bit old. It gave off a gloomy and drab impression. However, there were no problems with production or safety—it just didn’t give a good first impression or have a modern feel.
"What do you think?" Lin Jiang asked for Chen Jingxian’s opinion.
"I think it’s all very good. With Factory Director He overseeing Mu Xing, it’s always been steady and reliable. I see no problems."
"You flatter me, President Chen."
Lin Jiang’s gaze fell upon the soap dispenser and hand dryer by the wash basin.
"What are the ingredients in this soap? Is it just regular hand soap?"
"It’s a specialized formula. All the major food processing plants on the market use this kind," He Xuelu said confidently. "Rest assured, President Lin, our production safety controls are very strict."
"Get rid of the sanitizer and replace it with regular hand soap."
"Huh?! But doing that will make us look unprofessional."
"The entire factory is flawless. When the officials arrive, what are you going to let them inspect? You have to leave them some room for criticism."
