Chapter 213: Chapter 210: Self-Detonation

After he finished speaking, Yue Junxiao stroked his chin and added, “Well, that’ll save us the daily trouble.”

At first, Yue Junxiao was quite excited about it, but it was always a one-sided beatdown. After a while, it just got boring.

Watching Hades struggle was always a bit entertaining, but even that was losing its charm.

If Hades really died this time, they would be spared the daily struggle.

Sang Mo’s expression didn’t flicker at Yue Junxiao’s words.

Even though the situation below seemed dire, for him, it was like watching an insignificant play unfold.

If he had encountered them before, he would have been desperate to kill them. But now, after Bai Zhi had “avenged” him, Sang Mo could remain calm even when looking at Hades.

Perhaps Bai Zhi’s actions had quelled the rage in his heart, or perhaps she had made him feel more valued than ever before.

It reached the point where even with Hades standing before him, Sang Mo felt no urge to go down and kill him. He was even fine with Hades not dying by his hands.

Just then, Silver Moon came down from the Starship. He wasn’t as handsome as Hu Yan and the others—certainly not beautiful—but he was an improvement over Hades. However, he seemed to have a slight issue with his legs. It wasn’t noticeable when he stood still, but any Beastman with sharp eyes could spot a strangeness in his gait as he moved. He did his best to walk normally, but the problem was still discernible.

But he was an SS-level and the next Young Master. His succession ceremony was scheduled right before his wedding to Tina; the wedding would happen right after he took his new title. It was no wonder Moerde had been so eager to find a replacement the moment he realized Hades was a lost cause.

Despite the slight issue with his leg, Silver Moon’s speed was unaffected.

The moment Tina saw Silver Moon, she ran over and threw herself into his arms. With tears blurring her vision, she cried, “Silver Moon, you’re finally here! Am I going to be disfigured?”

Silver Moon reached out to examine her face carefully. “Don’t worry,” he soothed. “It’s just some redness and swelling. No other damage. Once we get back, a quick soak in a Treatment Chamber will fix you right up.”

Hearing this, Tina let out a small sigh of relief. ‘As long as I’m not disfigured, it’s fine.’

But she had been doted on and spoiled her whole life, and this was the second time Hades had hit her. The first time, her family had still needed him, and he was in a critical phase, so she had let it slide.

But she didn’t need Hades anymore!

‘He beat me like this! Not getting revenge is so not my style!’

Tina touched her badly swollen face and said viciously, “Silver Moon, you have to get revenge for me! Don’t let him off easy! I’m coming to your place tonight!”

Hearing Tina’s words, Silver Moon’s eyes darkened. “Don’t worry. I would have done so even if you hadn’t asked. You’re my female, after all.”

With that, Silver Moon joined the battle.

Hades was already being overwhelmed by Diller. Silver Moon joining the fight pushed him right to the brink.

BAM! BAM! BAM—

Hades was knocked down again and again, but he kept getting back up.

The rain washed over Hades. The ground around him was soaked with blood.

Hades’s entire body was a mess of injuries. Just as Diller launched a swift attack, Hades threw something at him. Diller dodged the object. In the instant Diller dodged and glanced at it, Hades hurled something else at Silver Moon.

What Hades had just thrown at Diller was a feint, meant to keep him occupied.

What he threw at Silver Moon was the real weapon: a Poisonous Insect designed to take down High-level opponents.

Diller was wary of him and would have easily dodged it. Attacking Silver Moon was the better option.

Diller knew he’d been tricked with a single glance. He had a sinking feeling and whirled around, roaring at Silver Moon, “Get out of the way!!”

Silver Moon, oblivious to what had just transpired, didn’t know what Hades was throwing. He hesitated for a split second when he heard Diller’s shout before hastily dodging.

However, even though Silver Moon dodged with incredible speed, the object still struck his arm.

Silver Moon didn’t know what the object was, but he reacted instantly, sealing his entire arm with his superpower.

Even though he had sealed it with incredible speed, his entire arm turned a sickening shade of purple-black in moments, and the discoloration was already spreading up toward his body.

Hades started laughing maniacally. “HAHAHA… You want to make my life hell? Then you can all go to hell with me! Let’s die together!!”

Everyone stared at Hades’s mad ranting.

Tina saw Hades’s crazed state but paid his words no mind. She glanced at him once before turning her worried gaze to Silver Moon. Frowning, she asked her father, “Is Silver Moon’s arm… will it be okay?”

Moerde’s expression darkened at the sight. “I’m not sure. We may have pushed that madman Hades too far. I have no idea what that thing was.”

On the floor above them, Yue Junxiao asked, “Is that Hades guy so obsessed with revenge he’s gone delusional?”

Yan Yichen chimed in, “He definitely looks like he’s lost it. You think we’re the ones who beat him crazy?”

Bai Zhi stared, unblinking. Hu Yan and Sang Mo, however, seemed to see something more.

Hades channeled his superpower into his hand. He used it to stimulate a Poisonous Insect he had previously planted within his own body, pushing its abilities to their absolute limit. In an instant, he forcibly boosted his superpower to the SSS-level.

He then tilted his head, glancing up at Sang Mo as if to confirm his location. After taking a few steps back, a grotesque smile spread across his face as he looked out at everyone.

Then, everyone saw his body begin to swell, his skin stretching as if it were a drum. His eyes bulged, looking as if they would pop out at any second.

Seeing this, Sang Mo said in a deep voice, “Get her out of here!”

The moment Sang Mo spoke, Hu Yan had already swept Bai Zhi up into his arms. Before Sang Mo’s voice had even faded, Hu Yan was already leaping away with Bai Zhi.

Seeing the grotesque scene, Yue Junxiao and Yan Yichen felt their scalps tingle with fear and immediately took off after them.

Sang Mo brought up the rear.

His skin had defensive properties, and now that he was at the SSS-level, its durability was even greater.

Diller and Silver Moon were the closest. When they saw what was happening, their faces paled. “Retreat! Fall back, now!” they yelled as they scrambled away.

Moerde saw that their expressions were all wrong, and with Hades looking so bizarre, he immediately hoisted Tina onto his shoulder and ran.

When the surrounding crowd saw them all running and caught sight of Hades’s horrifying state, they panicked and scrambled to escape.

In an instant, countless people were desperately fleeing through the downpour.

Hades watched them flee and laughed maniacally, “HAHAHA—”

‘None of them believed in me. Fine! Then they can all be buried with me!’

No matter how fast those people ran, they couldn’t outrun Hades’s self-destruction.

An SSS-level’s self-detonation was no small matter. Forget ordinary people; even another SSS-level would have to keep their distance.

Although Hades had only forcibly reached the SSS-level, making him considerably weaker than a natural SSS-level like Sang Mo, he was an SSS-level nonetheless. The radius of his self-detonation would be immense.

As Hades laughed, there was a sudden—BANG!

With that single explosion, everything in the vicinity was obliterated.

RUMBLE… RUMBLE…

Countless houses collapsed one after another from the explosion.

Moerde heard the sound and whipped his head around, only to see the blast wave surging toward him. He couldn’t help but curse, “Damn it! If you’re going to die, do it somewhere else!”

Diller snatched Tina from Moerde’s shoulder as he raced past him.

Freed of the weight, Moerde immediately picked up speed.

As for Hu Yan and his group, they were already far in the distance.

Hearing the explosion, Yan Yichen risked a glance back. His eyes bulged when he saw the blast wave nipping at his heels. “Fuck!!”

Hearing Yan Yichen curse, Yue Junxiao turned to look back. Just as he did, WHOOSH—a figure shot past him. Before he could even ask who it was, he caught the scene behind them in his peripheral vision. His face changed, and he bellowed, “Hey, wait for me!!”

He frantically picked up his pace.

He was fast and quickly caught up to Yan Yichen. Sang Mo and Hu Yan were already way ahead of them.

Bai Zhi heard their exchange and glanced back as well. But Hu Yan was running so fast with her in his arms that she didn’t feel the same oppressive pressure of the blast being right on their tail.

Hu Yan noticed her movement and chuckled. “Don’t worry. I won’t let it catch up to you.”
