After I Died, the Scumbag Went Mad
Chapter 9: His Gaze Is Suffocating
Chapter 9: Chapter 9: His Gaze Is Suffocating
Asher stared at my photo, his eyes bloodshot, seeming extremely agitated.
"But you gotta admit, Cecilia Caldwell has a decent body. It wouldn’t be a loss to sleep with her for free. If she threw herself at me, I’d sleep with her too."
"That time at Nocturne, she was soaked to the bone. Seriously, her body was amazing."
"Brian Morgan, you sure got your hands on her. You nearly stripped her naked..."
"Hahaha..."
The group of rich kids with Julian were spewing filth.
Because Julian looked down on me, they all did too.
Because Julian always thought I was cheap, disgusting, and beneath him, these people never learned to respect me.
I stared with hatred at their disgusting faces, wanting nothing more than to rush forward and tear them to shreds.
I clenched my fists and swung, but it was useless.
THUD!
Brian Morgan was punched and fell heavily to the ground.
I stood frozen in shock, watching the person who rushed forward, tackled Brian Morgan, and drew blood with every punch... It was actually Asher.
The madman who killed me.
"Fuck, is he crazy? Pull him off!" Brian Morgan’s friends cursed in terror, rushing forward to stop him.
But Asher was like a beast that had suddenly gone rabid. No matter how the people around him hit him, he kept savagely beating Brian Morgan, refusing to let go.
His eyes were bloodshot, like a bloodsucking monster, and he struck with vicious intent.
"You... touched her... You deserve to die..." Asher’s voice was hoarse, his words choked with sobs.
But no one could clearly hear what he was saying.
In the dark of the night, his face was covered in dark red blood. He was like a crazed beast, inspiring a primal fear.
In the end, it was Julian who knocked him out with a club, frowning as he cursed.
"Call the police. They’ll figure it out," Julian said in a low voice.
Brian Morgan was already unconscious, his face a bloody mess, too gruesome to look at.
I stood there, numbly watching the battered Brian Morgan, and smiled weakly.
’Is this what you call karma?’
...
「Two months ago.」 Brian Morgan called me using Julian’s phone.
He said, "Julian is drunk and in a bad mood. He keeps calling your name. You should come get him."
It was pouring rain that day. I didn’t have a car and couldn’t get a taxi. The wind was so strong my umbrella was useless.
Just because Brian Morgan said Julian missed me, I acted like an idiot, running desperately to the club in the pouring rain.
But the moment I pushed open the private room’s door, soaked and disheveled, I saw all of them... roaring with derisive laughter.
"Hahaha, it’s raining that hard outside, and she actually came!"
"Julian, you’re something else. You win, hahaha."
Julian wasn’t drunk at all. He was with them, playing their despicable games.
"Julian, this woman is truly shameless. She’d do anything just to marry you, wouldn’t she?" Brian Morgan said with a sarcastic smile. "Tell her to sleep with me. Tell her if she sleeps with me, you’ll marry her. See if she agrees."
Everyone in the private room was laughing.
The way they looked at me was like they were looking at a cheap commodity. Lewd. Disgusting.
I will never forget. I’ll never forget the vicious expressions on their faces.
"Was it you who told my mom that I slept with you, forcing me to marry you?" Julian leaned back on the sofa, watching me with amusement. "Cecilia Caldwell, you’ve really thrown away all your dignity just to marry me, haven’t you? How desperate can you get?"
I stood trembling by the door, my eyes red-rimmed. "If you’re okay... I’ll be leaving then."
I turned to leave, but Brian Morgan suddenly pinned me against the door.
His hands started to wander; he was clearly bullying me on purpose.
I trembled all over, looking pleadingly at Julian. "Let me go! Don’t touch me!"
I cried and struggled desperately, but Julian completely ignored me.
He was just like everyone else, watching me for entertainment.
Watching my pathetic state.
Seeing that Julian didn’t care, Brian Morgan grew bolder.
He pushed me down on the sofa and started tearing at my clothes.
The more I struggled, the more excited they all became.
They laughed and clamored, egging Brian Morgan on to do worse.
I cried out Julian’s name, begging him to save me.
But the look he gave me made it hard to breathe.
