Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Julian Fletcher Abandoned Me and Left

"I didn’t do it. How many times do I have to say it before you believe me? I wasn’t the one who pushed her..." When there was no proof, Julian Fletcher would only ever believe Erin Whittaker.

He trusted her unconditionally.

As for me...

’I was nothing more than a piece of trash.’

"Cecilia Caldwell, you really should die."

The thing he said to me most often was, "Cecilia Caldwell, you really should die."

In the end, he didn’t spare me that day.

He took me in a private room at the club, simply to humiliate me.

He said, "Cecilia Caldwell, do you know how much a hostess at this club makes in one night? Eight hundred..."

He said, "Cecilia Caldwell, you’re not even as good as them."

He said, "Cecilia Caldwell, maybe I should have just let them have you earlier?"

I lay numb on the sofa, my entire body feeling as if it had been torn to shreds.

"Julian Fletcher, I’m begging you, please let me go..."

I don’t remember how long he tormented me.

He finally let go of me, probably when he had sobered up enough. He straightened his clothes with disgust.

He, of course, remained impeccably dressed, completely ignoring that my own clothes had been torn to pieces by his hands.

He didn’t spare me a single glance, as if disgusted with himself for losing control while drunk and touching something so filthy.

"Julian Fletcher, don’t leave me here. I’m begging you."

He turned and slammed the door as if he were fleeing, completely ignoring the wretched state I was in.

I felt like a discarded rag, tossed on the floor. I slowly began to pick myself up.

My foot landed on shards of broken glass. The pain and the sight of blood jolted me back to reality.

Numbly, I got dressed, pulling the shredded remains of my shirt tightly around myself as I staggered outside.

It was pouring rain outside the club. Julian Fletcher hadn’t waited for me.

"Are you new here? How much for a night? Looks like they played rough, huh?" The same waiter who had walked in on us before smirked, asking my price.

I didn’t say a word, just tried to run past him in a panic.

The waiter blocked my path, his tone mocking. "Why the rush? Don’t play the innocent maiden now. After letting some rich guy have his fun with you like that, what’s one more?"

I was terrified. I backed away nervously. "Don’t touch me! I’ll call the police..."

The waiter scoffed. "It’s nothing but drunks out there. You really think you’ll get away in one piece if you go out like that? You might as well just let me have a little fun."

Outside the club, there were drunks everywhere.

’Those men would never let me go... ’

Julian Fletcher knew it was dangerous to leave me there all alone, yet he still walked away without a second glance.

"Get away from me!" I shoved the waiter aside, my breath coming in ragged gasps, and ran out, crying.

The waiter had been right.

I had barely made it out of the club before I was cornered in an alley.

As I tremblingly dialed 911, crying and waiting for the police to come save me... in that instant, I became utterly clear-headed.

’I didn’t love him anymore.’

’I had to survive.’

’I had to escape.’

’As far away as possible.’

"Don’t touch me! I’m begging you, please don’t touch me!" I sobbed and pleaded, but they wouldn’t let me go.

As their hands roamed over my body, a wave of nausea churned uncontrollably in my stomach.

"She’s actually not bad-looking. Hurry it up. I’m next when you’re done."

"Hah, can you even get it up?"

I collapsed on the ground, listening to their vile curses, crying until I had no strength left.

I struggled until I finally had no strength left to resist.

I thought that was the day I would be gang-raped.

Just as my consciousness began to fade, a tall, blurry figure appeared, dragging a steel pipe. He brought it down hard on the head of the man who was on top of me.

Then, blood-curdling screams echoed through the alley.

"Stop! Don’t hit us..." The men who had been assaulting me were now begging for mercy.

But the man had no intention of letting them go.

"ARGH!" Another scream ripped through the air.

The shadowy figure brought the steel pipe crashing down on the man’s wrist. "You touched her... You’ve got a death wish."
