After Achieving Invincibility, I Set Out to Destroy Sects
Chapter 93: Lasting Eternity Sect
"Why does it matter who I am?" Jiang Yun scoffed. "It's not only you who has someone to protect, since I need to protect my daughter just the same."
"Your daughter, you say?"
The man named Zhu stared at Han Yuxi and started connecting the dots. When he widened his eyes to take a better look, the man named Zhu looked somewhat surprised.
"Isn’t this the daughter of the elusive fairy Han Xiyue? I remember that she never showed a husband to the public and always appeared alone. Who are you to claim to be her husband?"
"I’m not claiming to be her husband, but I am this girl’s father."
"You lie! How could Han Xiyue possibly bear a child from such weak scum like you? She is elusive and never gets close to any man, which made her the unattainable fairy in everyone’s eyes. Do you have proof to back up your claims?"
The man named Zhu puffed out his chest in confidence that Jiang Yun couldn’t provide any proof. He was soon proven wrong when a dark blue-haired figure started descending onto the field.
It was Han Xiyue who had finally arrived. Her face was wrinkled with worry while she rushed toward Han Yuxi. Patting her daughter down, she felt relieved to find no visible marks.
"How do you feel? Are you alright?"
"Yes, Mom, I’m fine."
"That’s good, but did you get yourself into trouble? Why is an elder from the Lasting Eternity Sect confronting your father?"
"He was trying to save me when I beat the man over there next to the elder. His name is Chu Feng, and he wouldn’t let me go."
"I see, so that’s what happened."
Han Xiyue turned and walked toward Jiang Yun after understanding the situation. When she arrived, she pointed a finger at the man named Zhu and angrily began to shout.
"Do you feel pride in bullying my daughter? She is so much younger than you, yet you treat her like this."
"She injured my nephew, so of course I can’t just let it go. Look at his sorry state. He is covered in cold sweat."
"Lies!" Han Yuxi interjected, rushing next to her mother. "I let him go, but he still wanted to cause trouble."
"Is it true?" the man named Zhu asked, turning his head toward Chu Feng.
Chu Feng neither denied nor confirmed it, but simply remained silent. He didn’t want to admit he was wrong, but he couldn’t think of a lie to convince his uncle.
The man named Zhu sighed, but hardened his expression before turning back to face Han Xiyue.
"What you say might be true, but it’s undeniable that my nephew was injured. Apologize, and I’ll let this situation pass. We can be on our way after I feel that you are sincere enough."
"What if we don’t?" Jiang Yun stated after stepping in front.
"If you don’t, then I’ll force you to submit. Just because I’m being soft right now doesn’t mean I’m a pushover. I’m only offering this option since Fairy Han Xiyue is here, so don’t push your luck."
"I don’t care," Jiang Yun replied, still standing firm. "I will teach that nephew of yours a lesson for being so arrogant. If you stop me, then I won’t be kind to you either."
"You dare! How could someone without Immortal energy like you dare to make such claims? Do you think I won’t slap you to death right now?"
"Try it," Jiang Yun replied, pointing to his face. "Here, you can hit right here if you want."
"I’ve never seen someone so daring before. Alright, let’s see if you can still be this confident once you taste my power."
The man named Zhu walked in front of Jiang Yun and raised his hand. Immortal energy began to gather around his palm, and the air began to swirl violently.
With a quick swing of the arm, the hand made contact with Jiang Yun’s face.
What was meant to be a bloody scene turned into a hand resting harmlessly on Jiang Yun’s face. No damage was done, and the surroundings returned to normal.
"Are you done?" Jiang Yun asked, slapping the stationary arm away. "If you are, then it’s my turn."
"Who said I was done?" the man named Zhu roared. "That was just a warning. This time, I won’t be as kind."
The man named Zhu summoned a giant transparent hand in the air and condensed it into a glowing mass of energy. It solidified and was brimming with power.
The giant hand began falling at blinding speed, trying to destroy everything in its path.
Jiang Yun looked at the scene calmly and raised his hand slightly. With a quick flick of his fingers, a hole appeared in the giant hand, which ripped it apart and dissipated the energy.
"What did you do?" the man named Zhu yelled in horror. "This shouldn’t be possible! That was my full-power strike. Even powerful Immortal Emperors can’t deal with my strike as casually as you’ve just done."
"Are you done now?" Jiang Yun asked without a trace of emotion.
The man named Zhu couldn’t respond, still trapped in a daze. He kept his eyes wide open, trying to scan Jiang Yun for any trickery, since this simply didn’t make sense.
"Since you’re done, then it’s my turn," Jiang Yun stated while raising his hand.
Another giant hand started to form, which was the same size as the previous one. It looked exactly the same, but it contained a far more oppressive aura compared to before.
"How are you able to do that?" the man named Zhu choked out, clutching his chest to calm himself down. "Are you also an Immortal Emperor?"
"You can find out once you die," Jiang Yun replied while bringing the giant hand down.
As the hand closed in, the man named Zhu crumbled under his own weight and fell to the ground, unable to move. The oppressive atmosphere didn’t allow him to stand, despite not even being hit by the hand yet.
What followed soon after was the hand completely crushing everything beneath it, and the man named Zhu was completely flattened under the weight of the blow.
When the giant hand dissipated, what remained was a hand-shaped crater with a bloody mess at the center of it. With that, a dignified Immortal Emperor was killed off like an insect.
Chu Feng stood with his mouth agape in utter disbelief at the sight. He had been fully confident that with his uncle around he could run rampant, but now everything had changed.
Jiang Yun didn’t care what Chu Feng was feeling and walked right up to him. Looking up, Chu Feng began sweating in fear and struggled to keep his eyes focused on Jiang Yun.
"W-what do you want to do?" Chu Feng stuttered, barely forcing the words out. "My sect still has three Immortal Emperors. Are you sure you want to take this further?"
"Then hurry and call them out," Jiang Yun replied without any change in expression. "I’ll wait for them here while you summon them."
Chu Feng felt the pressure he was experiencing lighten. Realizing this was an opportunity, he didn’t hesitate to crush a jade tablet he retrieved from his robe.
"You fool!" Chu Feng said excitedly, a smile spreading across his face. "Now that I’ve sent a message back to my father, none of you can escape today."
"Oh? Then I’ll just have to see what you’re relying on and crush all your hopes."
Jiang Yun turned and stood beside Han Yuxi and Han Xiyue, waiting quietly. Unsure of what Jiang Yun was planning, both women did the same and waited quietly too.
Chu Feng raised an eyebrow, not understanding how Jiang Yun could be so casual with three Immortal Emperors coming to deal with him. Any normal person would be begging in fear, trying to find a way out.
Continuing to watch in case Jiang Yun changed his mind and made a sudden move, Chu Feng remained on edge while waiting for his father to arrive.
As the minutes ticked by, Chu Feng clutched his chest, trying to calm himself down. The longer it took for his father to come, the more anxiety Chu Feng felt being in Jiang Yun’s presence.
After what felt like an eternity, the surrounding area was struck by an overwhelming pressure. The audience who had just been watching from the sidelines began collapsing from the weight of it.
People dropped to the ground, falling unconscious when they could no longer bear the force.
High in the sky, three figures floated, wearing matching robes that signified they were from the same sect.
In the lead was a man with long, black hair who appeared neither young nor old. At his sides were two men who looked remarkably alike, each with long gray hair tied into a bun.
The three men descended slowly and landed softly on the ground.
Looking around, the leading man saw Chu Feng off to the side, soaked in sweat. The man’s face twisted in fury, flushing slightly red.
"WHO DARES CAUSE MY SON TO END UP LIKE THIS?" the black-haired man roared.
