Chapter 68: Qiu Zheng Shocked by Qiu Tao’s Progress

It didn’t take long for Gu Biyao to lead the way as she knew the way like the back of her hand.

Only a few minutes went by as she quickly navigated towards her residence that belonged to her and Qiu Zheng.

Upon arriving, Gu Biyao was very welcoming of Jiang Yun as she quickly showed him in and had him sit down in the guest room. She then exited the room to go find her husband.

Jiang Yun looked around the guest room, which was very big and had much expensive furniture and many decorations. It seems Qiu Zheng is very wealthy now as an Immortal Emperor.

As Jiang Yun waited while looking around, he started to hear loud footsteps near the door as someone was rushing towards the door. In the next moment, a loud bang was heard as the doors were slammed open with full force.

The culprit was Qiu Zheng with a face full of excitement, as he was very happy about something.

Qiu Zheng excitedly yelled, "Jiang Yun, you have finally come! You have kept me waiting for far too long!"

Jiang Yun calmly replied, "I came when I had time on my hands. I apologize for keeping you waiting."

Just as Qiu Zheng was about to respond, another set of footsteps came quickly. This time the footsteps were full of anger.

Gu Biyao marched up to Qiu Zheng and yelled, "Don’t be so forceful with the door! What if you had broken it?"

Qiu Zheng began to tense up as he feared his wife. While he was still being yelled at, Qiu Zheng only responded, "I’m sorry."

After a long lecture, Gu Biyao finally calmed down and sat in front of Jiang Yun with Qiu Zheng following close behind.

Gu Biyao embarrassingly said, "Sorry for the display just now. I tend to get very angry sometimes when my husband does stupid things."

Jiang Yun, seeing how much Qiu Zheng had suffered, replied, "Don’t worry, it didn’t bother me."

Since Jiang Yun didn’t care, Gu Biyao dropped the matter and ordered a servant outside the door to bring refreshments.

Right after the order, servants quickly brought in a pot full of tea as well as several cups for all three present. One of the servants quickly poured the tea before leaving the room for privacy.

Gu Biyao picked up the teacup and took a sip before asking, "How has my daughter been since she was with you? I miss her and wonder if she can come back anytime soon."

Jiang Yun, also drinking the tea responded, "Your daughter is a natural-born genius, making her learn very fast. She has now reached the Peak of the True Immortal realm."

Hearing the response, Gu Biyao began to shake her teacup in surprise by what Jiang Yun had just said. Originally, she thought Jiang Yun was joking around, but his face was far too serious for that.

Qiu Zheng was even more shocked by what Jiang Yun said, as it was far too unbelievable for his daughter to progress so fast.

Gu Biyao, still suffering from shock, asked, "Is it true? Has my daughter actually reached the peak of the True Immortal realm?"

Jiang Yun, understanding their disbelief, said more confidently, "That’s right. She has indeed reached the peak of the True Immortal realm, and it won’t be long before she reaches the Golden Immortal realm."

Gu Biyao froze in shock as her mind simply couldn’t comprehend what she was hearing.

Qiu Zheng was just as shocked, but still asked, "What did you do to my daughter? It hasn’t been that long since she was just an Earth Immortal. It's absurd for her to jump two major realms in just a few months."

Gu Biyao, wanting to know the same, nodded her head in agreement.

Jiang Yun casually addressed the question, "Remember how dense the Immortal energy was at my sect?"

Qiu Zheng searched through his memory and responded, "Now that you mention it, the Immortal energy was indeed dense at your sect. It was the densest Immortal energy I ever felt, now that I think about it."

Jiang Yun, seeing that Qiu Zheng had remembered, continued, "I have made the sect’s Immortal energy even denser, as well as provided her with plenty of pills for cultivation."

Qiu Zheng started to feel things were starting to get absurd from what Jiang Yun was telling him. The sect was already the densest Immortal energy he ever felt, yet Jiang Yun said he made it even denser.

Qiu Zheng also wondered just how much cultivation resources Jiang Yun has. The last time he went to find Jiang Yun, he also got plenty of resources which have made it so his realm was finally loosening after so long.

Thinking about it this way, Qiu Zheng started to feel maybe it was possible, considering Jiang Yun’s methods were far from ordinary.

Despite Qiu Zheng understanding, Gu Biyao understood nothing as she had never gone to the Invincible Cloud sect.

Seeing his wife’s confusion, Qiu Zheng slowly explained what he knew about the situation, as this was indeed very absurd and was shattering their worldviews.

After the careful explanation, Gu Biyao reluctantly accepted the truth as she couldn’t refute or prove it was true. Though if it was true, then she was very happy for her daughter’s progress.

Though this also made her worry, as she herself was an Immortal King, and with her daughter’s current progress, it wouldn’t take much longer for her to catch up.

This caused mixed emotions in Gu Biyao, as she could no longer progress her cultivation, but her daughter was about to become stronger than her out of nowhere.

Leaving his wife’s worried expression to be solved by herself, Qiu Zheng continued with the discussion.

Qiu Zheng picked up his teacup and toasted Jiang Yun as he had something to say to express his gratitude.

Making a slight bow, Qiu Zheng stated, "I was correct in allowing you to be my daughter’s master. For all you have done for my daughter, I will be at your beck and call if you need anything in the future. We may be sworn brothers, but favors must be repaid."

Jiang Yun, feeling some discomfort from Qiu Zheng being overly polite, responded, "There is no need for this. If I truly needed something, I could just get it myself."

Feeling slightly dejected, Qiu Zheng still mentioned, "I don’t care how long it takes, but one day I will repay you appropriately."

Since no one knows what might happen in the future, Jiang Yun decided to just leave things the way they are. Maybe one day it may come true and he would truly need help with something.

The two continued to discuss common topics while they caught up on what they have been up to. Gu Biyao was still on the side as she was still deep in thought about what was happening.

After discussions were finished, Jiang Yun pulled out many treasures and gave them to Qiu Zheng, as he was now close to breaking through to the Peak of the Immortal Emperor realm.

Qiu Zheng wanted to refuse but remembered that Jiang Yun truly didn’t care or need what he just gave. This made Qiu Zheng reluctantly accept the gifts, as he needed the treasures currently.

Since things were settled and Jiang Yun had finished with what he wanted to say when coming here, it was about time to leave.

Seeing Jiang Yun was about to leave, Qiu Zheng got up to see Jiang Yun off.

Before Jiang Yun could properly leave, Gu Biyao snapped out of her daze and said, "Can I go with you back to your sect? I want to go and meet my daughter after so long."

Seeing nothing was wrong with meeting her daughter, Jiang Yun agreed without hesitation.

Gu Biyao, wanting to prepare some items, asked, "Can you wait a bit while I prepare?"

Jiang Yun nodded and Gu Biyao went to retrieve a couple of items.

While Jiang Yun was waiting, he started some small talk he couldn’t say before while Gu Biyao was around.

Jiang Yun curiously asked, "So how do you like that fiery wife of yours?"

Qiu Zheng, proudly thinking of his wife, responded, "She is the best woman I have ever met. She will stay by my side for the rest of my life without complaints."

Noticing Qiu Zheng’s genuine, joyful expression, Jiang Yun was reassured about his future happiness.

Immediately following his statement, Qiu Zheng started singing praises about his wife as he liked every detail about her. This made Jiang Yun realize he opened a hornet's nest and could no longer get out of this situation.

Jiang Yun now wanted Gu Biyao to come back quickly so he could leave this awkward situation with Qiu Zheng being a family man.

After some more waiting, Gu Biyao finally came back seemingly ready, as she had put everything into her storage ring.

Gu Biyao noted, "I am ready to go, so let's head out now."

Jiang Yun, finally being able to leave, had no objections to doing so now.

Qiu Zheng gave his farewell as he sent the two away at the entrance to the building.

Jiang Yun and Gu Biyao started to levitate off the ground and quickly flew to the front entrance of the sect.
