Chapter 56: Jiang Yun Saves Zhao Na’s Father

As Jiang Yun started his alchemy, Zhao Na was watching from the side, wondering when Jiang Yun learned alchemy. Back then, Jiang Yun would trade herbs to her for pills and other cultivation resources.

Since this was the case, it would mean Jiang Yun didn’t know alchemy back then and had only started after he disappeared. This is a very short amount of time, and looking at the herbs he was using, Zhao Na could tell Jiang Yun was an Immortal-level alchemist.

Learning alchemy in a short time was one thing, but to be an Immortal-level alchemist in such a short time was absurd. Zhao Na simply could not comprehend what Jiang Yun had been doing since he disappeared.

While Zhao Na was still deep in her thoughts, Jiang Yun was busy making pills.

Jiang threw what he needed and started using his fire. Soon, a pill formed which had red and white patterns on it.

Upon completing the pill, Jiang Yun fed it to the old-looking man lying on the bed. The results were immediate as the sunken face started to become fuller, and the man’s hair turned back to its original color.

After a few moments, the old man started to open his eyes and look around.

Zhao Na soon realized that the pill Jiang Yun made had worked and her dad was now awake again.

What followed was a reunion with all three family members expressing many emotions as they finally could talk to each other again.

Once the reunion was finished, Zhao Na’s father looked toward Jiang Yun and said, "Thank you for saving me. I don’t know how I will ever repay such kindness."

Jiang Yun replied, "It’s only a small matter, so don’t worry about it."

Zhao Na’s father replied, "In the future, if you ever need anything, just know I, Zhao Chen, will be there for you."

Zhao Chen then looked towards his daughter as he wanted to catch up on what had happened since he fell unconscious.

Jiang Yun decided to leave, as this was a family reunion. After leaving, Jiang Yun went back to the former Leaping Carp Sect, as Ning Nuo was still alone there.

Once Jiang Yun arrived, he replaced the gate and put his own signboard up. Now this territory officially belonged to him, as it now says "Invincible Cloud Sect" on the gate.

Jiang Yun then went in to find Ning Nuo. Jiang Yun soon found her in the main hall, as she was waiting for his return.

Ning Nuo then started to ask how things went, and Jiang Yun started to explain to her.

After explaining, Ning Nuo was happy that the situation was resolved so quickly.

She then asked, "Do you know the Immortal world well? You seem to know people and can come and go as you please."

Jiang Yun replied, "I stayed in the Immortal world for hundreds of years, so I know it quite well."

Ning Nuo asked, "Then can you show me around? This is my first time here, and I want to explore after cultivating for so long."

Jiang Yun replied, "Then let’s go explore around. I don’t know if the places I used to go are still around, as it has been so long, but I’ll show you what I can."

The two then left the Invincible Cloud Sect to explore.

Jiang Yun first brought her to a small town, which she was surprised by the inhabitants of.

Ning Nuo thought that everyone in the Immortal world were Immortals, and the people in front of her weren’t Immortals at all, but cultivators.

Ning Nuo asked, "How are there cultivators in the Immortal world?"

Jiang Yun replied, "These are the descendants of Immortals. Since their predecessors can survive in the Immortal world, they pass down a body that can survive in the Immortal world by constantly ejecting Immortal energy. As they grow stronger, they release less Immortal energy and use it themselves, so they can be called cultivation geniuses."

Ning Nuo was surprised by how all these people were cultivation geniuses. She then looked around, and it was true, as these people looked very young and they all had high levels of cultivation.

Ning Nuo decided not to dwell on it, as it didn’t matter to her too much. She then explored the town, seeing sights she couldn’t see in the lower world. Jiang Yun followed close behind, watching as this scene felt familiar, as he remembered when Ning Nuo was still a weak young girl.

Ning Nuo pulled Jiang Yun along to try new things, as the food in the Immortal world tasted different, as was the fashion. They even had interesting forms of entertainment, as cultivators simulated a spar with lots of effects.

Jiang Yun was somewhat amused by all of this as he followed Ning Nuo around like an adult watching an excited child.

As the daylight started to fade, Ning Nuo had a face full of joy, as she had Jiang Yun following all day to experience the joys of life.

Jiang Yun seeing her smile brought about an emotion that he rarely showed. As Jiang continued experiencing this emotion, the energy he felt back in the lower world when experiencing mortal life with Tang Mei started to surge.

Jiang Yun had gotten used to the feeling as it constantly built up inside him until now, but this sudden surge instantly caught his attention.

As the energy continued to build, Jiang Yun decided to end the day early and bring Ning Nuo back to the sect. Though she was reluctant, she agreed, as she had enough fun for the day.

Jiang Yun then took her back to the Invincible Cloud Sect in an instant and arrived in the main hall.

Jiang Yun then quickly said, "I have something to do and will be back soon. Stay here and wait for me."

After saying this, Jiang Yun disappeared, leaving Ning Nuo behind, wondering what was happening.

Jiang Yun then appeared a very far distance away from the Invincible Cloud Sect, high above the sky away from distractions. He then started to focus on the feeling in his body, which slowly started to change the dao energy he originally had.

Soon after, energy was being emitted from Jiang Yun’s body that caused the surroundings to vibrate slightly.

In the next moment, Jiang Yun felt that his energy was stronger now, and it seemed that he had broken through to some unknown realm.

Jiang Yun then calmed down and started to study the changes in his body when a stream of information started entering his mind.

This new realm seemed to have many more abilities he didn’t have before, as he could directly learn information from the rules of the dao.

Soon after, Jiang Yun understood what was happening. This new realm is called the Harmonizing Dao Realm.

One can reach this realm after regaining lost emotions that one would lose the more, they cultivate. This was due to cultivators starting to view things as insignificant the stronger they get.

By the time they reach the Dao Unification Realm, everything seems so plain and boring that the Unification Realm strips your emotions and makes you view everything is beneath you.

Once you regain the joy of life and see the light of things again, you can harmonize with the dao as you are coexisting with its creations, thereby breaking through.

Jiang Yun, with his new realm, was far more powerful than before, as he could now gain information directly from the dao much easier than before.

If he wanted to learn more about something, it was just a matter of searching the dao for the information he needed.

Another benefit is that Jiang Yun found out about something he never knew about before, which were the realms above the Unification Dao Realm.

Other than the Harmonization Dao Realm, there are two more realms above it, which are the Multi-Dao Realm and the Origin Realm. The Multi-Dao Realm is achieved by mastering a set amount of dao paths, such as alchemy, body cultivation, etc., while the Origin Realm is still unknown, as the rules of the dao don’t contain such information.

Since Jiang Yun now had something new to work towards, he found a new goal in life rather than aimlessly finding things to do. Though he was bored of cultivating, it gave his life purpose.

Though it is now more of a pastime, as nobody is a match for him anymore even when he was at the Unification Dao Realm, now as a Harmonization Dao Realm cultivator, there is truly nobody that can do anything to him.

As Jiang Yun thought this, he found how absurd life was. He spent such a long time cultivating to the Unification Dao Realm, and yet it was so easy to reach the Harmonization Dao Realm.

Jiang Yun thought to himself how easy it was to get something you don’t care about, but how hard it is to get something you do want.

As Jiang Yun was finishing his thoughts, he thought it was time to go back. Now that he was finished with resolving the built-up energy he was experiencing, there were no longer any problems.

Jiang Yun then disappeared from where he was with just a thought, as his powers had increased once again from his new realm.
