Chapter 1950 Why Is He Running?

Chapter 1950 Why Is He Running?

The Man was taken by surprise by the Puppet, and even with its meager strength, it was still able to force him to the side. This was all the Gnome needed to escape. A Peak Sovereign Wind Elementalist set on fleeing was going to be difficult to catch. When the Man was still reeling from the Gnome's escape, he suddenly felt a familiar pulling force. He instinctively wanted to resist, only to give in and be pulled into the void.

At the same time, Grey appeared in the spot the Man was previously standing on, taking a glance at the fleeing Gnome, he snickered and pointed forward.

The Gnome was elated when he finally managed to get the chance to escape. Although he repeatedly threatened to kill one of them with him, he did not have the intention of dying here in the first place. His words were purely meant to at least scare Grey or the Man, and in truth, he could tell his words had an effect on the Man. The Man was not as resolute as himself, giving him the opportunity to create an escaping chance. Now that he had finally gotten away from the Man's range, he was confident there was no way Grey would be able to stop him. He might have sacrificed his weapon and special Puppet, but it did not matter as long as he was able to get away from this place.

He was moving when he suddenly felt the space around him become murky. It was as if he was trying to drag his body through thick muddy water, significantly reducing his speed. Not just that, he also felt a powerful pulling force trying to drag him back in the direction he was escaping from.

'Huh? What's going on?' He was momentarily confused, struggling to regain his previous pace. With the Gnome's previous strength, he would be able to escape from this, much less his current strength. Pushing his essence, he freed himself, only to be met by a sudden change in the gravity around him.

Turning around, his eyes landed on the snickering Grey.

'It's his doing!' The moment the Gnome saw Grey standing in the Man's previous position, he already knew it was Grey's doing.

The moment Grey saw the Gnome's eyes, his eyes glowed pale blue as he tried to use his mental attack. This was something he gained after acquiring his icy flames, and for a short moment, he could at least freeze the mind of someone in the same cultivation stage as himself or higher. Those weaker than him were instantly frozen in place, with their innards becoming frozen. Against someone like this Gnome however, he knew it would not obtain the same result. All he hoped to do was to stop the Gnome for a short moment. Adding his gravitational force field to the fray, he was able to stop the Gnome for close to a second; enough time to achieve his aim.

The six-colored fusion orb was already unstable and he knew holding onto it any longer would put him in danger. Without hesitation, he tossed the fusion orb at the Gnome, using the space element to make it appear directly beside the Gnome.

The Gnome had regained his freedom and clarity of mind when he was faced with the six-colored fusion orb he had been making all effort to escape from.

'How could this be?' The Gnome panicked and tried to flee. Although he was fast, Grey was faster.

The second he tossed the fusion orb at the Gnome, he detonated it and escaped. He did not dare to stick around to see the impact of the explosion. He still recalled what happened to him the first time he created a fusion orb. If not for his strong physical body at the time, he would have been seriously injured, or worse, lost his life. He had grown more accustomed to using the fusion orb over the years and knew the ones within his control and the ones he should not be around; this six-colored fusion orb was one of the ones he should stay as far away from as possible.

The Man appeared on the spot Grey was preparing the fusion orb, sensing the turbulent space around him, he knew this was a result of the technique Grey was using. He gasped in shock at how powerful it was. The only way he would be able to cause such a notable disturbance to the void is if he used his full strength. It was not that he could not cause spatial tears, even some Sages could do so. Causing such a massive spatial turbulence on the other hand required a tremendous amount of strength and also prolonged use. He was still thinking about how amazing Grey was when he saw him throw the fusion orb at the Gnome. He saw the orb vanish and reappear close to the Gnome. Keeping his eyes on the Gnome, he only noticed the fleeing Grey after the latter had flown past him.

'Why is he running?' This was the question that popped into the Man's head. He could not understand why Grey would run after using his technique on the Gnome that was close to a kilometer away.

He turned his head as Grey flew past, and as soon as his gaze returned to the Gnome, his vision went blank as a white light covered his vision. His hair stood on edge as he felt like he would lose his life if he dared stayed there any longer. Promptly turning around, he flew after Grey, how could he dare stay there. His heart was racing with his back soaked with sweat. The danger he sensed coming from that direction scared the crap out of him. If even he who was a kilometer away from the orb felt this much fear, there was no need to speak about the Gnome.

The Gnome tried to run, knowing there was no way to outrun this explosion, he used all his strength to set up layer upon layer of protection. His golden light was already flickering, and even if it was not, he was a hundred percent certain it would not be able to deal with this attack.

'Why did I come here?' As the question resounded in his head, he was hit by the shockwave from the attack, immediately enveloped by the bright light.

….

On the foot of the mountain where Klaus and the others were fighting.

They were just rounding up their battle with the Gnomes, killing the last of the Gnomes when they heard a resounding bang. Turning their attention in that direction, they first saw a large expanse of white, followed by a six-colored light.

"That should be Grey's attack, right?" Klaus asked with his lips twitching. He had seen Grey use a fusion orb before and knew its explosion is usually accompanied by a light work of multiple colors according to the number of elements he used.

They were about fifty kilometers away from where the explosion happened, yet they could feel the massive shockwave coming from it. If any of them were caught in that attack, they knew they would not even know how they died.

Void looked at the direction and nodded, "Yes, it's his attack."

Hearing Void's confirmation, the trio gave a wry smile. They all knew it was Grey's attack, accepting though, was another matter. Grey was an Eighth stage Sovereign, a stage higher than they were, yet he was able to use an attack that had already exceeded the Sovereign Plane. This attack should at least be something comparable to a Half God Plane Elementalist's attack, even if it was not entirely on the same level, it should not be far off.

"Freak…" Klaus said under his breath.

The others nodded in agreement, they too agreed with this assessment. Only a freak of nature would be able to pull off what Grey just did.

"Wait, doesn't he have all eight elements already?" Reynolds suddenly asked.

Alice and Klaus nodded, looking at him to continue with what he wanted to say after asking such a question.

"Does that mean he can make an eight-colored one?" Reynolds asked thoughtfully before adding, "If the one made with six elements is already this powerful, just how strong will the one made with all eight elements be?"

When they heard Reynolds's question, they paused. This was indeed a valid question. An attack made from six elements is already this powerful, just how strong would the one made from all eight elements be?

The more they thought about it, the more it frightened them. Luckily, they were Grey's friends and did not have to worry about him using this attack on them. If they were enemies, they would be shaking at the moment with fear. How could they fight against something like that? It was simply impossible!

The group were lost in thought as they watched the light slowly start to fade away.
