Chapter 1929: You Won’t Have The Chance To Run Again

The Peak Gnome did not understand how the calamity he foresaw did not happen, according to what he knew, there should be no way he would have even been able to run more than a kilometer or so before he was caught up in the explosion. As much as there was shock in his voice, one could see the faint sense of relief that he escaped such a calamity. If the calamity had truly happened, then with the exception of the Half God Plane experts, the rest of them would barely have any hopes of surviving it, even from a kilometer away. This alone showed the mightiness of the outcome of destroying such a portal with such solid spatial walls.

The other Gnomes gave the Peak Sovereign Gnome a look of inquiry, as if to ask why he raised such unnecessary false alarms.

As if knowing what the Gnomes were thinking, he pointed at the location of the underground tunnel, and he did not need to explain. The Gnomes turned their attention to Grey and his companions, clearly intent on killing them, especially the Gnome previously guarding the portal, he knew he would not be able to live peacefully with the other Gnomes after what just happened. He wanted to vent, and since Grey was still here, he was the perfect candidate. If Grey had not come down and caused the destruction of the portal, he would not have felt this humiliation.

The Man stopped questioning Grey with the arrival of the Gnomes, he did not have that luxury time any longer. Turning around to look at their numbers, his expression fell. Adding the Peak Sovereign Gnome that was previously guarding the portal, there were four Peak Sovereigns on the Gnome’s side, while on the side of the Humans, including Grey, Chris, and the newly arrived Klaus, there were only six people with fighting power, and only two of them were Peak Sovereigns. Logically speaking, two Peak Sovereigns would be able to deal with four Ninth stage Sovereigns, much less this group that two of them were in the Eighth and Seventh stage respectively.

Even before the appearance of the Gnome guarding the portal, things were very difficult for them. Now that they were adding him to the fray, he did not know if they could deal with them. There were also the multiple Ninth stage Sovereigns on the side of the Gnomes. To a certain extent, the reason this battle was still on is thanks to the fact that most of the Ninth stage Sovereign Gnomes were dealt with by Grey and Chris very quickly, reducing the manpower on the side of the Peak Sovereigns’ battlefield.

Before anyone could utter a word, Grey flew to the side and pointed at the Gnome he was previously fighting with underground.

“Old thing, we still have some scores to settle. This time you won’t have the chance to run away.”

Grey’s blatant provocation and tone of contempt infuriated the Gnome he was pointing to. He was already infuriated by the fact that Grey made him fail his job, which will definitely cause him some trouble in the future. Now he was going as far as to disregard him in the presence of so many people, this was no different from a slap on his face!

The Peak Sovereign Gnomes actually looked at Grey with interest when he publicly challenged the Gnome, they all knew just how powerful the Old Gnome was. Grey was together with Void, going a kilometer away from where the others gathered, he wanted to use his full strength, and this was the only way he could do so. He brought Void with him in case he faced any dangers, Void would be able to easily help. The Bunny Leader was nowhere to be seen, the moment the Gnomes returned, he disappeared as if he was never there. He had never liked involving himself in battles, and since his current army of Bunnies does not have any Bunny that could contend with a Peak Sovereign or even a Ninth stage Sovereign, there was no point in trying to join in the fight. All he could do was watch from the side and occasionally lend a helping hand like he did a few minutes ago.

Grey being the first person to pick an opponent took everyone by surprise, the Man who was suspicious of Grey had been thinking of how to deal with the additional Peak Sovereign, only to see Grey challenge the Gnome. Looking at Grey waiting for the Old Gnome to come, he did not know whether to laugh or cry, and before he could say anything, the Old Gnome truly flew in Grey’s way.

‘He went?’ The Man was a little taken aback, when he thought about how the Gnome was probably upset about how Grey made feel humiliated, he thought it was within reason. Not wasting any time, he attacked. They did not come here to watch others fight, they needed to take down their opponents too with the chance Grey gave them.
