Chapter 1811 Legendary Flames II

Chapter 1811 Legendary Flames II

"How can the icy flames appear now?" One of the Old men asked in shock.

One of the Old men looked at the expressions of the others and couldn't help but show a confused expression, "Granduncle, what's so special about this icy flame?"

The Old man in black turned to the Old man who just asked the question and couldn't help but chuckle, "You're from the latter generations hence the reason you don't know about it. Tens of thousands of years ago, an unprecedented genius appeared in our world. He had three elements, but none was as awe-inspiring as his fire element. His flames were special, instead of releasing the usual heat fire is known for, his flames were not just blue, but it also contained shocking coldness. The coldness of his flames made it very difficult to deal with him. His flames were even colder than most ice attribute users, taking him to the peak of the world in a short time. It was said that the genius was only forty years old when he got to the Peak of the Sovereign Plane. The genius became undefeated in the entire world. However, a few hundred years after rising to fame, he disappeared. No one has heard anything about him since then."

According to the Old man in black, he only managed to hear about this from his great grandfather at the time. He was still very young then and it was only due to an accident that his great grandfather spoke of it, indicating the said genius had slowly faded away with time.

Hearing the Old man in black's explanation, the Old man without prior knowledge was left speechless. Never did he think that such a thing happened in their world. If he had known, he would've read up about it.

"There's no point in feeling this way, for some reason, there are no known books written about him. According to my great grandfather, when he vanished, everything relating to vanished too, and if not for the fact that millions of people knew of his existence, there's a chance he would've been deleted from history. In the end, he was still somewhat deleted from history." The Old man in black explained, no one knew how these books disappeared, but all the investigations brought nothing, so it has remained a mystery. Of course, there are chances that there are places that had some books about the said genius, but who would believe there's an icy flame without seeing it for oneself?

….

A room in the McCall Family Manor.

The group from the McCall Family were discussing Grey's blue flames as well as the genius who disappeared thousands of years ago, trying to see if there might be any connections between them.

The McCall Family weren't the only ones concerned about Grey's icy blue flames, City Lord Vaughn had kept his gaze on Grey's body. Initially, he was interested in how Grey could mysteriously make things disappear, hence the reason he kept a sliver of his consciousness on the box so he could get firsthand experience of how Grey did it, unfortunately Grey wiped off this trace of consciousness, yet he wasn't as shocked as him having blue icy flames.

'Who the hell is he?' The City Lord's heart was racing as he tried to think of Grey's identity. Thinking of Grey's blue flames as well as the story of the genius from all those years ago, he almost wanted to believe that he was a reincarnation of that genius. Grey's ways were just too mysterious. First there was the mythical ability he used to make the Black Protector reappear in the same spot he was previously on after everyone saw him exit the City Lord's Manor.

Looking at Grey's eyes, he didn't see any signs of panic, just unrestrained leisureness. The group were taken into a secret room in the McCall Family, Grey randomly walked over to one of the chairs in the room, taking a seat. Void appeared out of nowhere, resting on Grey's lap as he took a seat as if he had always been there.

Looking at the pitch black cat, City Lord Vaughn felt a feeling of fear. He tried to sense what type of cat it was, unfortunately, he didn't sense any form of energy from its body.

City Lord Vaughn didn't speak immediately, taking his seat as his eyes were kept on Void. Since laying his eyes on Grey, he had been met with one shock or the other, throwing his worldview into pandemonium.

"The City Lord couldn't possibly come all this way here to gawk at my cat, right?" Grey raised a brow when he saw how intensely focused the City Lord's gaze was on Void's body.

City Lord Vaughn recollected himself when he heard this, "Little Friend must be joking, I came here for an important matter."

"An important matter?" Grey raised a brow before adding, "Forgive me, but I don't believe there's any reason for City Lord to ask this courteously towards me, coming all the way here when he could've sent someone to call me over."

Grey knew how highly people in City Lord Vaughn's position usually carry themselves, for him to come here personally showed just how important it was.

"Me taking action should tell you just how important this matter is. Since we're already here we should discuss it here." City Lord Vaughn was taken aback by Grey's words. When he watched Grey's actions the first time back in the City Lord's Manor, he thought of him as an arrogant fellow. Not just that, the attack a few minutes ago also proved how arrogant he was. However, hearing Grey speak, he knew that he was someone respectful and humble, which was a contrast to his previous actions.

Hearing City Lord Vaughn's words, he couldn't help but wonder what could make him come here in person.

'Could he know something about the outside world?'

This was the only thing Greu could think of. According to Sir Astarot, these people had no knowledge of the outside world. But if City Lord Vaughn wasn't planning on discussing the outside world, why else would he approach Grey?
