Violet smiled wearily as she felt the surge of power foood through her due to the level increase. It didn’t entirely alleviate the weakness wracking her body, but it did lessen it somewhat, turning it from an all encompassing weakness to a milder tiredness.
Then as she still awaited for the remaining weakness to fade Violet opened up her full status screen, interested to see exactly how far her skills have changed since first evolving over 2 weeks ago. The results caused her tired smile to widen.

Her skill had truly been pushed quite significantly, she even got 2 more skills up to their max level at their first evolution. Not that she was likely to use one of her upgrade tokens on one of those skills however, she intended to keep ahold of it till one of her more usefull skills reached its next level cap at level 40.
It was looking like that would be either void barrage of void spear that would be reaching that point first so she was eagerly awaiting that.
Violet also enjoyed the amount of raw stats that she received for each level, being a full +5 in each primary stat and 10 free attributes spread out. This was a decent bonus from the + 3 to primary and +5 spread out from her previous tier.
It once more reminded her of the gulf in power between tiers 4 and 5. Each level would bring her just that extra bit further away from her prior state, that didn’t even take into account the bonuses of utilising a domain that could completely dominate a battle against a foe without one.
However, as Violet was observing her status she had a sudden and slightly embracing realisation, she had nearly entirely forgotten to use one of her most recent skills, being void threads.
She chided herself on that stupidity, knowing that those threads could have been extremely usefull in that most recent battle. Shaking her head Violet promised herself to not make such a mistake again.
Satisfied with her current situation Violet once more settled back down to rest, awaiting for the worst of her wounds to heal and for the debilitating weakness to fade away.
Violet suddenly jolted awake, her mind spinning as she didn’t even remember falling asleep, her body surged to its feet as she instantly blasted out both her presence and domain whilst looking around.
Her gaze instantly locked into the small form of a beast that had been approaching her stealthily.
Then she paused as she properly registered exactly what it was that had been trying to sneak up on her.
It was a small, regular sized wolf that had frozen stiff upon feeling the overwhelming force of Violet’s attention locked into it. The beast was also only in tier 3.
Violet snorted in amusement, surprised both at having fallen asleep and at allowing the beast to get so close to her whilst asleep. That wouldn’t do to let her guard down like this.
She glanced once more at the wolf, considering if she should attack, then feeling its strength and finding it entirely lacking she shook her head and turned away, not interested in killing something so much weaker than herself without reason.
Instead she turned her attention back towards the dead body of the tiger.
It lay in a pool of both its and Violet’s blood, its fur now ragged and torn in multiple places whilst the gaping whole in its chest stood as a stark reminder of how it died.
She approached the body and took a tentative bite out of its flank, her eyes opening wide in delight at the surge of juices and power she felt from eating wu h a powerful beast.
The taste was a true delight and Violet found herself taking several more bites out of it. Then she froze, she had suddenly thought that if it tasted this good raw, then how good would it taste if cooked properly?
Violet found herself salivating at the thought and after one more bite to satiate herself stroked the rest of the corpse in her storage ring before glancing once more and the wolf before trotting off once again.
Violet quickly advanced through the valley, the powerful winds still churning far above causing the world to have a constant whining in the background.
Soon enough Violet reached the end of this valley, she looked forwards, carefully leading through the thick dust and bebris kicked up by the seemingly constant dust storm.
She noted the silhouette of several cliffs and caping valleys in the distance, their sight obscured by the befor laden winds.
She wondered which one she should take, extending her presence to its absolute limit and seeing if she was able to sense anything.
Her awareness spread out before her, the distance her presence could cover incomparable to her limit within tier 4. Her senses managed to reach just within the border of those distant objects, yet as disturbingly as before she could sense no life within range.
Well the terrified form of a particular wolf some distance behind her aside.
With no clear option Violet decided to just head out into the whipping winds and move closer before deciding.
Before she did so Violet sat down once again, carefully going over her body and the various wounds she still sported. From deep gashes down her sides to painful cuts along her tail, she truly had suffered quite a lot in that latest fight.
She was relieved to find that her scale were already beginning to regrow over her various wounds whilst the flesh beneath was well on its way to being fully knit together.
Even as Violet watched she could see the flesh slowly grow back, it moved slowly yet inevitably, determined to return to perfect health.
She decided to rest for a bit longer, not very eager to enter a dust storm with open wounds. Sure she could probabally protect them with carefull applications of void and her domain, yet she had another reason to want to wait.
She changed form in a flash of purple light, returning to her humanoid form. A moment later the massive corpse of the slain tiger appeared before her.
Then with a wicked smile on her face she rapidly set up a fire and cocking equipment before approaching the body of the tiger with a particularly sharp knife.
So it was that Violet spent the next hour recovering whilst inexpertly clocking Umbral tiger stakes.
All the while a particular pitiful wolf watched from the distance, staring hungrily at the meat yet far too afraid to move any closer to the terrifying dragon woman standing by the food.
