Chapter 1158: Provoked & Undaunted.

The old man asked Shi Lang, “How did you know.”

The Terran replied, “It was easy, the Black Turtle would not just settle for something simple like a game of chess.”

The world consciousness nodded and then the chess board vanished and the old man said, “You are the champion favored by the Holy Beasts, but you are not omnipotent.”

This was a cold naked threat. However, was that enough to scare Shi Lang? The world consciousness made a mistake of underestimating him. The Terran chuckled and replied, “You think that you can kill me and try to achieve the goal of reuniting? Hahaha, I expected better from you.”

The person frowned and Shi Lang said, “I thought that you were smarter than this. There is not much time before the Realm Lord take the initiative to handle all the saints and merge with them, and here you are eager to kill me, but who do you think will be able to refine the bodies for your vessels? Do you think that the rest of the people can do that even if you give them thousands of years? They would not be able to step into the temple of the five elements.”

The world consciousness was left out without a retort. It didn’t know how to control Shi Lang, but then he said, “Do you really think it is just that easy? What if something happens to your precious?”

As soon as it said the word precious. Shi Lang’s aura changed, he had been calm all this while but this moment, he suddenly radiated a cold and baleful aura. His hair had turned completely red and his eyes were brimming with the same mania that he once radiated when Amelia had been harmed. The void was trembling and the world consciousness realized that not only has it screwed up but it has even provoked the dragon by poking his reverse scale.

The old man didn’t show it on his face but he was out of words, only after a few moments he said, “I was just telling you to reconsider whatever that you have in mind. If you tried anything funny, it might not end up good for all of us.”

Shi Lang asked in a calm and almost icy tone, “Are you done? If yes, then fuck off before I destroy this avatar of yours and you vanish forever.”

The old man was surprised, not because Shi Lang said this, but he could really do this. The Terran had already lifted his hand up and was ready to cast a time spell that would destroy the man. Sensing the dread, the old man vanished from his spot. The array also fell apart and Shi Lang mumbled, “You better not try any trick because it is you who need our help and not the other way around. If Kal-e found out anything about Amelia, then he will undoubtedly gain the upper hand and you along with all your fragments would end up becoming his bitch. Don’t ever provoke me.”

That said, he walked ahead with a calm pace, but the killing intention had yet to vanish from his face. After a few steps, the lightning flashed in the clouds and a figure appeared on the ground. The person was a man but he had the head of a white tiger. Shi Lang had expected things to be a little different as the world laws were a mess in some places, and so when he looked at the creature he didn’t feel any shock.

The creature looked at Shi Lang and asked, “Ready? You need to survive ten blows from me.”

Shi Lang didn’t say anything, his body flashed with lightning and his fist clenched up. The battle began. Boom! The ground erupted and kicked up a dust cloud.

Outside the sacred area, the Sun Archers were waiting for Shi Lang to return when they suddenly sensed the ground tremble. They sensed the origin of this quake lay towards the direction Shi Lang went, and if that was not enough after a bit they saw the ground ripple under their feet. The elder in the lead said, “Retreat, it is not safe to stay near this disturbance. We might not be able to withstand the aftershock.”

They all moved back and then they saw the void was also rippling, the trees in the distance had already dispersed in clouds of dust. The changing in the surroundings were shocking and none of the people could understand the reasoning, until Nishan narrowed his gaze and used his special skill, and said, “Shi Lang is fighting with someone, I cannot keep up with their movements, however, the latter is above Shi Lang in terms of spiritual realm.”

The people were surprised, and another elder remarked, “Yes, it is true. That other person has a head of the white tiger.”

They were all shocked but they could not say much about this instance.

Shi Lang moved quickly and after ten blows he was still standing in one piece, there was some traces of blood on his cheek, but they were already scabbing. The Terran said, “The ten blows are finished, may I pass.”

The white tiger didn’t say anything much and vanished from the spot. Shi Lang cycled the true essence around his body one time and walked ahead, this time he had taken out his spear. He knew the next challenge was going to come from the Vermillion Phoenix or the Azure Dragon and so he was ready to face them. He saved Raksha for the final task, because it was not going to be easy to handle the last challenge.

Just as he was thinking who was going to come out and test him. A middle-aged man with a burly physique appeared before him. Shi Lang stopped walking and then the dragon said, “Twenty moves, and if you survive, fine, you may pass, but if you failed, you will be my dog.”

Shi Lang nodded and said, “Does the same apply to you as well?”

The man shrugged and said, “If only you can tame me.”

Shi Lang nodded and then another battle began. Shi Lang was using his physical strength only for the confrontation. Feng Yun had told him, that these trials were a way for him to refine himself as a whole to another level. The body of a human could absorb vibrations and when it failed to absorb the vibration it would get hurt. Shi Lang was using the technique that Feng Yun taught him to handle the situation till now, but it was not a bed of roses, his body was shivering and the pain was something that he had not fell in a long time, but his state of mind had entered indifference and this was something that he was aiming for. The Dao of Indifference was something that he was aiming to handle and elevate. It was one of his prime tools in battle.

The Terran countered the attacks from the Dragon with his spear, one inch longer was one inch stronger. His speed was crazy high, and so was his strength the entire landscape had went through high degree of change. Had anyone seen this place they might not be able to recognize it. The place was covered with deep pits that were deep enough for hundreds of elephants to fit in together. After an hour, the battle came to an end. Yes, it took them an hour to finish dealing twenty moves.

The dragon didn’t say that he was going to make twenty attacks but this tricky thing used twenty chain moves, and Shi Lang didn’t fall behind either, he was crazy as well, and unleashed his twenty moves. He was using the Shura Domain with the time dao to dodge the attacks that were made from close proximity. The Terran had left the Dragon in doubt.

After the battle settled the young man looked at the Dragon and asked, “May I pass?”

The Dragon, in the figure of a man nodded and said, “You may pass.”

Shi Lang didn’t show any emotion and just walked away with steady steps. After half a mile more, Shi Lang found himself standing before a woman who was wearing a vermillion hanfu and she asked, “Are you ready?”

Shi Lang asked, “Are you not going to put forward the condition?”

The lady shook her head, and replied, “Not all battles have conditions to fulfill and get a pass. They are just battles done to make the heart feel content. Do you think you can give me a battle like that?”

Shi Lang sighed and replied, “I am not sure if I can, but we will not know until I have tried fighting, right?”

The lady nodded, then she vanished from her spot. Shi Lang narrowed his gaze and looked at his right the sword intent escaped his gaze and cut the void in two causing the lady to retreat but that was not all, Shi Lang holding his sword rushed over, “Four Season Swords.”

The Terran got serious.
