Ace Of Terrans

Chapter 1078 1078: Dao Tree.

Shi Lang gave out the command and the people began to work. Hao Mei sighed as she slumped in the chair. The Terran looked at her and a smile appeared on his face. He walked up to her and patted her head gently and Hao Mei looked at him as if she was wronged.

She said, “I don’t want to do it.”

Shi Lang smiled and blinked as he said, “Come, lets go for a walk.”

The two headed out and Shi Lang placed his hands behind his back as Hao Mei walked half a step behind him. The young man didn’t speak until they reached at the banks of the lake they had created inside the Asura Hall. The place was covered with a lot of flowers and their were many decorative fish inside the lake.

Shi Lang asked, “On the way here, what did you see, Xiao Mei?”

Hao Mei thought for a bit and replied, “I saw disciples working hard, some of them were training while some of them were taking a break after a tough session. Some are running to attend the lectures.”

Shi Lang asked another question, “What did you see in the eyes of those people?”

Hao Mei was left speechless, she took a deep breath and then said, “I didn’t notice, Master.”

At this moment, Shi Lang was not her father, he was her master and he was about to teach her something. The Terran looked at the surface of the lake and said, “Xiao Mei, often when we are handling things, we forget the most important thing. The reason we have to step up is not because it is our duty. If not you, it would be someone else.

Ever since you were a child, you have been shy, unless you are standing before a cauldron you would opt to stay silent and let your younger sisters and brothers step up and hog all the limelight. However, they all are aware of your brilliance and they always lean back on you.

The limelight they get is not theirs but yours and leaning back on you is their way of showing gratitude. In an indirect manner, you have made them dependent on your skills. The hunger they should have as a cultivator has been satiated because you are a giver.”

Hao Mei opened her eyes wide, she realized that her actions were indeed causing such a thing. Shi Lang turned around to look at her and said, “My dear child, people have to step up so that they can lead the others to step up. It is not that it is mandatory, and even if they don’t lead anyone, they should at least lead themselves on a path to the peak, otherwise what is the difference between a cultivator and a mortal?

It is not that I am looking down on mortals, but my dear, don’t settle down unless you have found what you seek. Till then straighten your back and take a stand, put your foot down and stride forward. The people who look at you as a support would never change, but when they see you walk ahead of them, breaking away from them, eventually, they will follow you and wish to surpass you.

I am not saying that you should strive to be a good leader, but try to be a strong cultivator that the people can idolize and chase after.”

Hao Mei still had some doubt in her heart and she asked, “Master, why is it necessary that I try to run ahead? Can I not be mediocre?”

Shi Lang was stunned and then he chuckled loudly as he reached out to pat the head of his disciple and said, “Of course it is okay if you are mediocre dear. Not everyone is made the same. However, as your master, I am aware of the talent and the skill that you possess. You didn’t become the tribulation alchemist at such a young age because of just talent. Do you think I am unaware of your hard work in the refining rooms?”

Hao Mei blushed a little and looked at the floor. Shi Lang said, “You have always prioritized others over yourself. I am not asking you to change yourself. However, from now on everything that you do, is to set two examples.”

Hao Mei raised her head to look at him and Shi Lang said softly, “First, make your own path and become stronger. Second, don’t let anyone take advantage of you, even when I ask for a pill, you must not give it to me easily. Understood? Protect yourself from anything and anyone.”

Hao Mei realized that Shi Lang cared for her deeply and he was afraid that in the future someone might take advantage of her, and this is why she was given these two commands. Hao Mei bowed deeply and said, “I understand, Master.”

Shi Lang nodded and then he said, “Go and relax, you did good today, or the command room would have been a mess.”

Hao Mei smiled and bowed before she flew away. Shi Lang shook his head and mumbled, “Her gentle nature worries me a lot.”

Raksha appeared beside him and said, “Lang, she is gentle, and not dumb, unlike you.”

Shi Lang rolled his eyes and then he sat down in cultivation right on the bank of the lake. His Dao Foundation was complete and so he wanted to try and explore the path Dao Tree realm. As he entered the soul sea, he began to look at his Dao Foundation inspecting it and reconfirming his conjectures. After affirming that his mind was calm and that his foundation didn’t have any chinks in it, he began to move forward with his intention.

On the center of the clock, a small black spot appeared, this was the spiritual form of his Dao Seed. How this worked was a philosophical irony. At first, the cultivator would accumulate the Dao Laws and form a seed, and then he would extract the energy of that seed to form his foundation.

However, that didn’t mean the seed has vanished, it is still present but now resides in the core of the Dao Foundation. The final step before entering the sage realm was to form the Dao Tree, so the cultivator uses the energy flowing through his body and Dao Foundation to nourish the seed and when the seed has enough energy, it would sprout.

You have to give back what you take, that is the philosophy here, only then can the Dao Tree bloom. As Shi Lang began to pour the energy back to the Dao Seed, the winds around him picked up the pace, and eventually he was surrounded by a stream of water and air. How Mei found out about this situation and she posted high level guards around the lake to prevent anyone from disturbing Shi Lang, only Amelia and the elders were allowed to go and check on him.

What Shi Lang had told her earlier was now being implemented, although it was not admitted, but Hao Mei was his best disciple.

Shi Lang was lost in cultivation he had no idea what was going on in the world outside. Amelia had stepped into the ranks of Immortal Empress and was about to breakthrough the realm of Dao Soldier, and the war on the Dao Battlefield was growing more intense with every passing day.

The Terran spent six months in seclusion and the Dao Seed finally sprouted, yes, after six months of constant nourishment under the flow of dao laws, the seed sprouted an inch long twig. The twig was emerald green and it seemed as if gold was flowing through it. The young man didn’t mind this, he was happy, his strength was now more refined. It had increased ten times more than before, if he was to fight Tian Long, the match would end in one slap.

Shi Lang woke up and came out of the seclusion to find that Amelia had gone to gain experience in the Dao Plain and Shi Tao was with her. Hao Mei had taken up the task of managing the sect and the two devils of the Asura Hall were now ranking at the peak of young talents. They were guarded by the elders in secret and they went out to spar and exploration regularly, both of them were now in the realm of Immortal Generals.

Tian Long and Prince Beiming had condensed seeds of Dao, and they were the strongest in the world after Shi Lang, Fairy Moon Jade was stuck as her comprehension of soul laws was progressing slowly, and after hearing that Shi Lang had come out of seclusion she went looking for him for exchange when Tian Long also waltzed over with gutso and said, “I am having a match with Beiming to decide who is the strongest between us, you should be the judge.”

Shi Lang raised his brow and looked at Tian Long and then at his sister, Fairy Moon Jade as he said, “This guy will never grow up, would he?”

Fairy Moon Jade put on a bitter smile as she had given up long ago.
