Shi Lang was still immersed in cultivation and the rest of the elders did the same, but apart from him, the rest of the people had to make an agreement and they all took turns to go into seclusion. They would come out every couple of months and exchange views. The constant exchange was supporting a faster growth in all the forces.

It has been two years since Shi Lang condensed the foundation of his Dao understandings, the clock under his body was now divided in two sides, one of them seemed to be made of golden lightning and the other half was made of fire. The hands of the clock seemed to be crystalized from blood.

He opened his eye and let out a heavy breath. He stood up and the void rippled, as if he was a stone thrown in still water. He had yet to gain control over this power of his. He frowned and after some thought he said, “Well, looks like I would need to try something.”

He left the cultivation room and found that the Asura Hall was thrown in chaos. He frowned and vanished from his place to appear at the entrance of the situation room. He walked inside and saw Hao Mei guiding the people. He raised his brow and spotted Commander Silence on the side. He walked up to her and asked, “What is going on here?”

The energy rippling from his body placed a pressure on the lady. Shi Lang rubbed his forehead and tried to control the ripples as much as he could before Commander Silence could breathe and she said, “Invasion tide, the Soul Scepter Race detected a lag while the guards in the Dao Battlefield were changing places, and they took the opportunity to ambush the units, and around three thousand of them have invaded the Crimson Soul Abyss, and we are losing people with every passing moment, even Elder Tian cannot stop them, thankfully, Fairy Moon Jade has managed to confine these things inside the abyss.”

Shi Lang sighed and said, “I didn’t expect that I would get to meet these people so quickly, and that too in a familiar spot. Time really is a funny thing. I am going out Commander, tell the rest to not worry.”

Before the others could say anything, Shi Lang vanished from the spot. Hao Mei heard all this and said, “All units, enforce the array and confine the enemy, the hall master is taking action himself.”

This one sentence was enough to calm down the tide and Hao Mei let out a breath as she said, “Elder Arkham, can you please resume command, I cannot handle this. Big Sister has put me in a spot, I am not good with such intense situations.”

Archie Arkham smiled and said, “You have done good, don’t worry, if I find you lagging I will guide.”

Shi Lang appeared outside the Crimson Soul Abyss, he recalled that in the past, this abyss was surrounded by a spiritual storm. That storm was sucking the spiritual energy from twenty kilometers around it, forming a wall of energy that could tear anyone apart. He had to stare death in the face to get in and complete the task back then.

At this moment, the storm has vanished and he spotted a few hundred thousand soldiers and disciples from various forces standing together and putting all their power inside an array cast by Fairy Moon Jade, while the rest of the elders guided them on various areas to focus their power and defend this critical situation.

Shi Lang walked through the void with his hands behind his back, as he neared the defense line, many elders saw him, and they all bowed in greeting. This was the respect Shi Lang commanded. The young man nodded in reciprocation before he stood outside the array and said, “Yue, can you open a hole for me to go inside?”

Fairy Moon Jade appeared beside him, and she was sweating a lot as her face ran pale. She nodded and Shi Lang said, “Just let me in, I will enforce it from there.”

Tian Long appeared next to him and asked, “How can you go in? These things don’t die even when I directly spew fire on them. What sort of myriad race are they?”

Shi Lang sighed and said, “Let us discuss about that later, but first I want to focus on these things and settle this score.”

Fairy Moon Jade opened a hole, and Shi Lang fired a wisp of lightning spiritual energy inside the hole, which successfully scared away the Soul Scepters trying to rush out of the gap, and his lightning was efficient. This surprised people as they have been trying to do the same but no results.

Shi Lang went inside the array and then he cast an array of his own, the attacks of the Soul Scepters didn’t hold much power on him because he was covered in an armor of lightning and flames. Shi Lang used the knowledge of the souls. These creatures, they were all primarily classified as souls, and with the knowledge that he had about souls, it was rather easy for him to counter these things now.

Shi Lang made a seal with his hand, and the soul scepters which looked like an distortion in the void, materialized before him. The people caught a glimpse of these creatures and were shocked, they had half a humanoid body, but their faces were black, it only had a hole with teeth in it. The creature had arms that hung beside him far below its waist, and they had four finger curved like claws.

They made gloomy sounds, but at this moment, this dreadful creature was frozen in the void. Shi Lang said, “Dao Foundation Art: Frozen Moment.”

Three thousand soul scepters, all of them were frozen in the void. The Terran didn’t stop, he continued, “Dao Foundation Art: Judgement Time.”

A clock appeared behind Shi Lang, the boundary was made with lightning and flame, while the numbers looked like they were carved by swords, and the crystallized blood hands moved inside the clock slowly.

As soon as the two hands reached twelve, a strong sword energy erupted from the number and it drowned the soul scepters. The place echoed with the wails and screams, some people felt tremors running through their bodies, but they clenched their fists and watched the entire thing.

Shi Lang moved inside the array barrier holding Tribulation Spear, and he tossed the weapon at every half alive Soul Scepter. His motive was to make the spear absorb so many enemies which allowed it to become stronger. It was a one sided slaughter, and Shi Lang did so without hesitation.

When a few hundred enemies were left alive but seriously injured, he removed his barrier and called in a few dozen elders who were responsible for the counter attack and he said, “The soul is made from the strands of pure Dao. If you wish to attack another soul, then you have to simply break their path to the heavens. How can you do that? It is simple right, infused a shred of Dao Principles and laws that you have comprehended over the years in your eyes and then use it to look around and you will see that all these heinous creatures have a boss amongst us.”

The people were shocked that Shi Lang was willing to teach them all these things and he was not even asking for any compensation, and he taught them all how to kill these things and after half a day, everything was settled. He looked at Tian Long and asked, “The point of breach, where is it?”

Tian Long looked around a bit before pointing in a direction and he said, “Over there.”

Shi Lang sensed the place and said, “Fuckers came over to desecrate the fallen heroes.”

He vanished from his spot and appeared in the cemetery that he made for the fallen heroes, he carefully examined the place and he sighed before he said, “Thank heavens that this place is safe.”

He calmed down and sensed the location of the breach before he went to the other side for a brief second and said, “Tian Long, gather the forces, and have them go inside. All of you are the elders and now have the experience of taking out these distortions. Teach the youngsters to do the same, and while they learn, you all act like their guardians. Is this understood?”

The people clasped their fists and bowed to him in agreement, before Shi Lang waved his hand and vanished from the spot. As soon as he left, many disciples discussed about the levels of his strength and wanted to chase after him. Thankfully, the older generation still had some sense of reality and so they calmed down quickly.

Shi Lang appeared in the command hall, and he said, “It has been settled, now focus on bring back the fallen. Bring them back home so that their loved ones could pay their respect, and also, somebody inspect these ghost corpses they might be of something interesting on them.”

Hao Mei sighed and replied, “Sir, Yes, Sir!”
