Chapter 620: Chapter 619: Countermeasures 1

The journey back was rather quiet. Shalor’s mind was not at ease. He couldn’t help but think about what Sword Demon had said. It seemed he was still rash and wanted to make a decision first without considering some things.

Meanwhile, Sword Demon was calm. Everything that had happened didn’t seem to faze him. It was just another problem that would be solved, but now that they had entered that realm, he couldn’t help but want to meet the fake Sword Demon.

His will or sword intent was rather interesting. That was the one thing Sword Demon was focused on. He wondered if he could have a one-on-one spar with him.

After some time, they finally arrived, and Shalor almost lost consciousness.

The gravity, the atmosphere, and the giant multiverse in front of him.

He could feel a lot of auras he couldn’t even comprehend, but one thing that stood out to him was that familiar feeling.

"The headquarters is in the Abyss?" Shalor couldn’t help but say as his body relaxed.

"Correct. Welcome to the Fifth Layer of the Abyss, Void’s multiverse, and where Dreadborne’s headquarters is." Sword Demon paused.

"Now you can look around. I’m sure you haven’t gotten here before. I have some business to attend to. If needed, I will summon you," Sword Demon said.

"Yes, sir," Shalor spoke, and the next instant, they were already inside the multiverse. Only Sword Demon was nowhere to be found.

Shalor gulped as he felt more than a million Quasi Rank 4 auras, and that was probably just counting those in this multiverse. How many were actually out there?

Was this the strength of the Dreadborne organization or the strength of the Abyss?

Could it be both?

An organization that combined its interests with an almost infinite army of the most chaotic race in existence.

And that was when it clicked for Shalor. He really was not important. With how many there were, who was he?

Probably, if not for Sword Demon, he could never even have reached here. He would only have served Dreadborne outside, and he wasn’t the only one. There were others like him.

One good thing was that he had even been able to speak directly to the owner of Dreadborne. Although he was worth nothing, at that point, he could at least provide void with some good information.

---

Entering Void’s castle, Sword Demon froze as he saw everyone partying. It seemed no one went out to defend their conquered multiverse, except him, or they went but came back shortly.

Still, that wasn’t important now.

"Why are you celebrating?" Sword Demon couldn’t help but ask as everyone froze for a moment.

"Oh, Sword Demon, you are back." Nephem smiled as he said it with a cheeky smile.

"We are celebrating their breakthrough to Rank 4," Junnie spoke from the side. Her aura was already at Quasi Rank 4, and she was not weak. Her Origin was almost fully mastered, and the same was true for the others.

Sword Demon couldn’t help but wonder what had happened to them, but his eyes were quickly pulled toward two of them.

Linkir and Alayot, the two whose auras...

"Congratulations on your breakthrough," Sword Demon said with a smile.

Before the moment could continue, Nephem brought out a giant creature’s leg and started chewing it.

The oil instantly covered his lips, while the deep-fried brown color was eye-catching.

"You..." Sword Demon’s face twitched.

"What?" Nephem asked as Sword Demon rolled his eyes.

Not today, kid.

Then he spoke up.

"Sorry, guys, but we are in a bit of a problem," Sword Demon said as everyone raised their heads.

---

About an hour later...

"So what you’re saying is we have some fake beings impersonating us?" Alayot asked as Sword Demon nodded.

He didn’t know why, but anytime he looked at or faced Alayot, he always felt his entire body tremble, like his soul was afraid of something. He never figured it out.

"That is interesting... but I don’t believe that realm doesn’t have those that can shut him down or discover he is a fake. So I think our core question is, why didn’t they do anything to him?" Linkir said.

"I thought so too, which means there is seriously something wrong with this particular impersonator," Nyx muttered as the others agreed.

"So what now?" In the end, junnie couldn’t help but ask as Sword Demon spoke.

"That realm is dangerous. Remember the old man I told you about? Yeah, he is a Quasi Rank 5 being."

Fuck...

Everywhere went silent.

Quasi Rank 5?

Just the mention of Rank 5 sent chills down their spines.

At least a few of them had come across their fair share of Rank 5 individuals. They knew what they could do and how they fought, so they had to tread carefully.

"That means no taking him out now," junnie pouted as she spoke.

"We have to find him first, and remember, we can’t just go out and find him. We need a plan, or he might escape. We need one where he has no other choice but to face us," Alayot said with a chuckle.

Deep into the Fifth Layer of the Abyss, at the Fifth Layer of Space, Void could hear everything his slaves talked about, and he won’t lie , it was quite interesting.

Someone dared to impersonate him?

He heard of it from Shalor, but this one was more detailed.

This was insane, but what could he do? No, what could anyone do about it?

"Regardless... I need to catch you. Of all people, why did you choose me?" Void couldn’t help but say with a murmur as he looked at his slaves chatting.

"So basically, we would have to make a trip there and stay low, starting from scratch and gathering as much news about him as we can, and not cause a ruckus in this realm, or else they would have to face the wrath of Quasi Rank 5 and Rank 5 beings?" Alayot slowly said as the others sighed.

This thing... well.

"That doesn’t sound too bad," finally Void spoke as everyone’s eyes changed with only Alayot and Sword Demon remaining calm.

"Master... aren’t you..."

"Supposed to be at that realm..."

"What are you doing here?"

Seeing Void, who had materialized at one point and was stealing Nephem’s popcorn, Linkir couldn’t help but ask.

"Well, joining your discussion. After all, I was impersonated, no?" Void spoke with a smile as almost everyone rolled their eyes.

Void was definitely up to something, but more than that, how the hell was he here with them?

But Void didn’t seem quite willing to answer that, as their thoughts tilted toward him having a clone only...

If that was true, then why is his clone that fucking strong?
