Chapter 741: I killed him
Chapter 741: I killed him
Kato was inwardly shocked but managed to regain his composure. He then focused on the Depravita, and his eyes glowed with a golden and sacred light.
“Your words are correct. However, I don’t do it just to train myself, but to ascertain to all those future generations that my path is better than yours. In my eyes, your kind is an even worse type of cancer than the Heavenly Race.”
All the powerhouses present, including Bahamut and Noir, were surprised by Kato’s words and the resolution on his face.
Venganza remained emotionless as he heard Kato’s words. The words of a child could not anger him, and he couldn’t care less about what others thought of him or his kind.
The Depravita Race did not need the approval or admiration of the other races, especially those that did not understand their true path and what they would become.
However, since Kato chose to clash against him, Venganza decided to show the Buddha a painful lesson.
“You confuse evilness with weakness and righteousness with power. You see the world as black and white when everything is just different shades of gray. Is it not because of my actions that all the lives in the Prima Universe are now free of the Eldritch Universe’s threat?”
Kato frowned, and he could not negate Venganza’s words. The Eldritch’s threat that had always lumbered over the Prima Universe was now gone, giving its trillion lives a chance to prosper.
The Depravita might not care about the lives of the Prima Universe, but the outcome was all that mattered.
Before the Buddha could even respond, Venganza continued.
“You think my path is flawed because of what you consider an obsession with my desires. I never question who I am or what I have become. My heart is pure, and there is no hesitation in it. Can you say the same, little Buddha?”
Kato grew pale and was unable to answer that question.
Venganza noticed the effect of his words and proceeded to give the final blow.
“If I want something, I take it. If I hate someone, I kill them, and If I love someone, I do everything to have her by my side. No one and nothing can stop me from achieving what I desire. Does your path bring your soul such clarity, little Buddha?”
Venganza’s words made Kato tremble as a trail of blood leaked from his mouth.
Kato’s Buddha Path of Power focused on the mind and heart, so a mental blow was equally harmful as a physical one.
Noir put a hand over the Buddha’s shoulder and helped him calm down, but there was not much he could do. Besides, the Spirit Primarch did not think the mental blow was necessarily bad for Kato.
How could you expect to fix your flaws if you don’t know about them?
Venganza did not bother with the Buddha anymore. Whether this one managed to surpass this trial or perished under its pressure did not matter to him. He turned toward Apex and the two Rank 9 Supernovas, and his eyes glowed as he saw the burning flame inside their hearts.
“Are you ready to follow me into war and claim your revenge?”
Apex’s eyes looked directly into Venganza and felt his desire for revenge grow stronger by the second. Luckily for him, millions of years of fighting and hardship tempered his will to an incredible level, so his desire did not blind him.
He took a deep breath and analyzed it all from a pragmatic point of view. His talent for war was good, but he could not equal that of the Incarnation of Death and Destruction, not to mention that following Venganza’s plans would allow him to save countless Fallen.
Of course, he did not particularly trust the Depravita but did trust in the Champion of Justice and Order and was sure that this one would do the best for his kind.
However, just as the Archangel was about to discuss the situation with the Rank 9 Supernovas, he noticed the duo’s somber aura.
Apex was about to ask what happened to them when Koren took a step forward.
“I need to know something. How did your son, Dante Daybreak, obtain his bloodline?”
When the powerhouses heard the Eternal Death and Destruction Supernova Eye’s question, the image of Zatiel Daybreak’s son came to mind.
Countless races had a third eye in their foreheads, and many techniques involved the spontaneous generation of one, so those present had not made the connection before. But now that Koren mentioned it, everybody began to reconsider things.
There were two main methods to obtain a bloodline in the Prima Universe. Either by inheritance or stealing it from someone and implanting it in yourself.
Nevertheless, the rise of the Neo-Demon Race changed that, as they could fuse different bloodlines and gave birth to all kinds of miracles.
It wouldn’t be impossible for Dante to have obtained it by fusing different bloodlines and having no relationship with the Supernova Race.
Venganza’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the Eternal Death and Destruction Supernova Eye.
“Let’s not drag this conversation. I killed the original holder of the Eye of Life and Creation and stole his bloodline.” The Depravita did not feel the need to lie and directly answered the real question in the mind of the Rank 9 Supernovas.
Ziru and Koren’s auras exploded as soon as they heard that answer. The power of death and destruction and that of space-time fused into a dark blue force that made the castle quiver and hard for most powerhouses to breathe.
Only those at Rank 9, like Ivar and Kato, could ignore that dark blue aura because of their power and that they were not the target.
Venganza took the front of the aura, but he stood there like nothing. His Silver Stars of Origin and the Red Sun of Wrath rotated, granting him the might to resist the combined aura of the duo.
