Chapter 757: End Of Final Event - 2

The Sanddune Worm didn’t care whether its spirit body was being damaged by the hot magma; its only aim right now was to devour a dragon and, once again, dive underground to fulfil Lily’s condition and get a chance at permanent resurrection.

And it did just that. It directly captured an unaware and disoriented Low 4-star Hybrid Dragon inside its maw before diving straight underground.

As for the type of damage the dragon would suffer? It was the razor-sharp, glass-like sand particles that would brutally rub against its body like sandpaper until the dragon was completely skinned before being teleported away.

Solvyr’s dual aspects, Amphithere and Serpent, also caught equal-level dragons that hadn’t yet collected themselves and began eliminating them.

Even Thalvyr—after getting healed by Leo—joined the fight alongside Agnivar. Leo refrained from summoning any other beasts because the extremely hot and molten ground wasn’t suitable for them.

Thankfully, the effects of [Voidshade Veil], [Heaven’s Wrath], and [Gravitational Calamity] had not yet faded.

The clouds that had been evaporated away due to the Astra collected once again as the golden lightning gurgled through them.

Soon after, the golden lightning with guaranteed-hit effects began to strike down.

A minute later, hundreds of lightning bolts crashed into the molten ground, while select individuals were pulled down by gravity.

Lily had already drawn her sword and started eliminating the dragons one by one while remaining in stealth.

Some dragons that did manage to collect themselves couldn’t do anything because their artefact carrier had already been eliminated in the Astra attack, along with the tabs and items needed to use them.

There were actually 3 items that they had left unused in the dragons’ hands.

1. [Heavenfall Ruin]

Range: 5 km diameter

Duration: 20 minutes

- Creates a massive storm cloud above the entire region, darkening the sky and covering the battlefield in violent winds.

- Random Intervals: Enormous bolts of lightning strike random enemies from above, briefly paralyzing them.

- Every 2 Minutes: Dozens of massive lightning pillars descend simultaneously across the region, causing devastating area damage.

- Allies remain completely unaffected.

2. [Heaven’s Eye]

3. [Soul-Lock Chain]

The [Heavenfall Ruin], which they had acquired after capturing a flag, would have naturally overlapped with the Aurelius Academy’s [Heaven’s Wrath], making it have almost no effect.

The [Heaven’s Eye], which would have actually been useful in marking Lily right now, was destroyed.

Same for the [Soul-Lock Chain].

In Azrakar’s crash location...

Hmm? We won, right?

Azrakar was so exhausted that he couldn’t even open his eyes and was fighting hard against the drowsiness.

The replay of the moment he cast the Divine Astra kept repeating in his head, as well as the sight of Leo scrambling backwards and creating as much distance as possible.

Run, fool! Dare humiliate me? Now see what happens!

Azrakar was still cursing Leo through and through.

Hmph, I admit you are strong. You made me use my Divine Astra, which I painstakingly acquired after 10 years of gruelling penance. But it’s over. Your arrogance was nothing but a speck of dust! Die!

Azrakar kept telling Leo to die as the moment the divine sun-flames descended replayed in his head.

Heh, weaklings! he thought after seeing the Aurelius students disappearing almost simultaneously.

Hm?

His dreams again caught Leo’s frame running rapidly towards the other students and his beasts.

Dare resist the Divine flames? Let’s see how long...

Azrakar’s lips involuntarily curved when he saw Leo’s skin slowly start to blister.

Kekekeke—

"Has he lost his mind? Who laughs while being unconscious?"

Suddenly, a voice broke his chain of dreamy scenes, making everything go blank and forcing him to look at the back of his eyelids.

"Hm?" Azrakar muttered, forcing his eyes open.

There he saw him—the face whose mere sight made his blood boil due to all the humiliation he had received.

He was ragebaited so much that he had readily thrown away his 10 years of cultivation and used the Divine Astra. He would likely need to meditate and suffer for another 10 years to use it again after gathering the necessary faith points.

But right now, even his heart didn’t have enough energy to circulate that much blood to make it boil.

He started to tremble violently when his body failed to react in the same manner as his mind.

"H-how?" he somehow managed to form a coherent word.

Leo was currently standing beside the fallen dragon, looking down at him. His hands were folded, and his eyes made it clear he was examining Azrakar’s body.

All the dragons were already eliminated, including Vulcarion and Vorthak.

"Wow, I guess using Divine weapons really puts a shit ton of load on the body..." Leo muttered.

He wanted to see what kind of condition a Divine weapon user ended up in after using the weapon. And he had to say, it was rather pitiful.

Azrakar looked weak, like a twig that could be snapped with a simple press of Leo’s leg.

"Completely exhausted—not an ounce of stamina. Even mental energy drain that woulk make one sleep while standing..." Leo muttered, shaking his head.

Before Azrakar could say anything else, Leo summoned his sword and drove it into his chest with immense pressure, teleporting the dragon away in white particles.

Leo had already retrieved the weapons embedded deep in Vulcarion’s arm.

"This guy... his body was still unusually tough," Leo muttered, looking at the blade’s tip.

At that moment, the screen above the Oreback Behemoth appeared again.

Aurelius Beast Academy has successfully won the last event and scored a Master Point!

Having successfully scored 2 Master Points, they are hereby declared the winners of the competition!

All surviving students will be transported to the stadium within 5 minutes.

The first thing that Leo thought of was to immediately place his hand on the ground and attempt to store away the whole Oreback Behemoth’s corpse.

He failed.

He didn’t have enough spiritual energy for that. He even suspected his spiritual space might be lacking too.

Then he turned to Lily, who was swaying and on the verge of collapse. Even her eyes were unfocused.

She had exerted herself way too much. Her stamina was almost depleted, and the previous burns—even though healed—had put excessive pressure on her mind and body. Leo could only imagine the degree of pain she might have endured to remain conscious through all that.

And she had just now finished the resurrection process of the Sanddune Worm, which dug into the soil and disappeared deep underground.

Its resurrection had cost her 320,000 units of mana, which nearly drained her completely.

He quickly made his way up to her and supported her.

Lily didn’t even bother with the recording orbs—or maybe her mind wasn’t working optimally—and slumped against his chest. Leo needed to hold her waist in order to support her properly as he floated outside the range of the molten land to rejoin the other group far in the forest.

Mana: 1.4M/1.65M

Damn... they couldn’t even deplete one-fourth of my mana...

Leo thought for a while and realised his fights were mostly physical.

He looked up at the sky and recalled the Divine Astra attack.

"I really need something dangerous like that... be it my own, or..."

He shook his head.

The Primordial Beast Dominion System was enough of a grace; he should work on something that he made by himself.

But even that could wait. Right now, he needed to be ready to squeeze every drop of reward worth getting from his obviously outstanding performance.
