Chapter 420: Prosperity Ranking – 2
Ting!
>Congratulations! You have successfully defended your territory!
>Territory ranking successfully established!
>+1000 Prosperity points for successfully managing to protect your territory on its first bounty.
>10 days of immunity from any sort of attack have been granted.
>Total Prosperity points are being calculated… … …
At that time, Leo sensed the Beacon sensor release a wave of energy that permeated through the entire territory.
“Wait, was it a radio wave? Can I feel that? Wow…” Leo felt he had some superpowers, sensing those that one normally cannot.
“Wait… I am a superhuman.” He chuckled; he was once again reminded that it was not his previous world.
>Calculation 15% -> 16% -> 18%
While the calculations were going on, Leo checked the notification he received from the system when he fought the demon.
“I actually acquired a skill?” Leo muttered as he went through the description.
Passive Skill: [Blood Instinct] – Low 20%
– A passive response that activates when the user encounters a recognised lethal threat. The body takes over, sharpening perception and accelerating reactions, making surroundings feel slower. Stamina and mental energy are consumed at a heightened rate, but extended activation leads to fatigue and mental strain.
“It’s a passive skill?” Leo attempted to activate it voluntarily, but nothing happened.
“So that’s what passive means… it activates on its own when I face a recognised dangerous enemy.”
He replayed the moment when the demon had burst toward him. The world had turned exceptionally clear and slow; every weak point of the man lay bare before his eyes. Not only that, his body had moved with perfect control—his limbs responding and moving effortlessly in ways that would normally be difficult.
“Wait… combined with Shyra’s [Silent Predator] trait, isn’t it possible to handle opponents that should be out of my scope?” Leo thought.
He shouldn’t have been able to see those weak points, but [Silent Predator] allowed exactly that. That was why the demon had been sent back to the temple in a single strike.
Silent Predator: Natural stealth combined with fluid movement. In the wild, it allows approaching prey unnoticed until striking at their weak points.
Leo nodded slowly. This was an extremely useful ability—especially since it activated automatically.
“Maybe when the mastery level increases, I’ll be able to enter that state at will? That would be incredibly useful.”
At that moment, the beacon sensor completed its scan. A notification appeared in his Territory Management app.
Ting!
>Scanning complete.
>The Prosperity points are being displayed.

“Damn… I can’t believe my eyes. No wonder people are so crazy about prosperity rankings.”
He checked the end-of-year rewards—territories would receive beasts—but the details were still hidden. The same applied to both freshmen and overall rankings; everything would only be revealed in the final month of the year.
“But I’m ranked 1938th overall? Damn… so many people are ahead of me.”
He also noted an important flashing message.
>Attacking and successfully destroying a certain territory beacon would grant 1/10 of the prosperity points of that specific territory.
“Wait… what the hell?”
His overall rank of 1938 might not seem high, but for a freshman, it was dangerously visible. Any established senior could easily raze his territory. It wasn’t that he lacked confidence—but if he could build this much in 1 month, those with 15 years of time would be far stronger.
However, after reading the attack rules, he let out a quiet sigh of relief.
Only territories from the same term could attack each other freely. Higher-term territories required academy permission and a legitimate reason—such as intentional trespassing, espionage with the leader’s knowledge, sabotage, or actions harming a senior territory.
A senior attacking a junior out of personal vendetta would face severe penalties, including possible territory seizure. Though, the junior’s complain would need to be investigated first, if found true, then only the action would be taken.
Leo quickly shifted his focus to the next key detail.
“Who are the contributing members of the territory? They’re getting a free 15,000 AC every month?”
