Chapter 340: Realm Conquered – 1

Leo and Lily brought both girls over to the treant so he could bind them to it. Afterwards, they counted the number of elves.

“14…” Leo muttered under his breath.

“Didn’t Andrew say there were 15 elves? Where’s the last one?” he asked Lily, glancing at her for any clue. But she simply shook her head.

Then, naturally, their attention shifted to the few conscious elves.

“Where is the remaining elf?” Leo asked one of the girls, his voice steady.

The girl was completely scared stiff after witnessing their battle, her body trembling as she replied, stammering over her words.

“T-they a-are in one o-of our hideouts…” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“They?” Kaelion raised a brow from the side, his tone edged with curiosity.

Leo could see the reluctance in the elf’s eyes to reveal their location, so when he asked her why she would answer his question, knowing it would put her friends in danger, he received his reply.

Apparently, there were 6 more elf girls that were yet to be seen, and they had already told the others to reveal their location, or else they would come to them by themselves. Their reasoning was simple: they just wanted to be with their friends a little more, even if it meant doom.

There was also another reason the elf willingly revealed their location: they hadn’t come out because they didn’t have the ability to fight and only had enough strength to deal with mid-to-high 1-star beasts. Some stronger beasts were purposefully kept alive and in check by Naelith and Sylrael to act as a distraction to intruders. And in case they were left behind without a fighting force, they would die the moment they stepped out to search for food.

Not to mention, since the secret realm was small, the beasts might just find them on their own.

They didn’t awaken elemental affinities like their friends, but rather life skills. At this, Kaelion confirmed things with the elf.

“So… this synergy boost and telepathic link that you have isn’t the talent of your dream bearer?” he asked, his gaze narrowing slightly. Sylrael could use the Wood element and fell under the category of a combatant.

“N-no… Our leader has two—three abilities…” the girl answered hesitantly. Even the other conscious girls couldn’t stop her, as the pressure emanating from Leo and Lily was enough to subdue them.

More questions followed.

“So, on top of having the talent [World Dream], she also awakened a powerful wood element talent and then a subsidiary talent of synergy boost?” Leo confirmed, glancing at Kaelion, who had just finished asking the necessary questions.

Leo was taken by surprise, and so was Lily.

“Isn’t that perfect for us? She might be the best of the best candidate to take in the Inter-Academy Competition.”

Kaelion nodded. She really might be the best. If she were there, Leo and Lily would virtually never run out of mana.

After a bit more questioning, they learned that one of the 6 elves had the telepathic link, and the others had taken on the task of building villages to distract intruders. But that distraction had failed against Leo’s team.

As they were contemplating what to do next and resting, a faint rustling echoed from the front, leaves shifting softly, and what appeared shocked them.

All 6 elves had arrived there by themselves. They wore similar attire to the captured ones—fitted garments of cured animal hide and woven bark fiber, trimmed with feathers and small, vivid-colored gems. Almost as if this were the only material they had to work with, yet even the minimalist style gave them a unique charm that could enthrall any man.

But somehow, Leo and Kaelion only looked curious, their minds already working to guess what was going on in the back of these elves’ minds to risk their lives like this as the worry and fear was etched into their face.

The newcomers wanted to check on the fallen ones, but Leo stopped them and told the treant to bind them swiftly, which the beast complied with, vines tightening with a low creak.

Who knew they might poison the fallen ones to prevent their future ’sufferings’? There was no harm in being more careful. Though his act did stir some resentment toward him, he couldn’t be bothered.

Leo ran a glance around all the elves, quietly noting their strength levels.

For combatants, the first two elves captured—Elirin and Elaris were High 3-star and Low 3-star, respectively. The other elves were in the Low to Mid 3-star range, with 4 being High and Peak 2-star and 2 being High 3-star. No Peak 3-star.

Naelith was a Pseudo 4-star and already at the cusp of Low 4-star, and Sylrael was midway through Low 4-star, a bit lower than Lily but slightly higher than Leo.

As for the newly arrived elves, all ranged from Mid 1-star to Peak 1-star.

In total, they gathered the following fighting force.

1-star = 6 elves

High 2-star = 2 elves

Peak 2-star = 2 elves

Low 3-star = 3 elves

Mid 3-star = 2 elves

High 3-star = 3 elves

Pseudo 4-star = 1 Elf

Low 4-star = 1 Elf

All girls.

Suddenly, Katherine appeared from the shadows, her presence quiet.

“Want to exit the realm now?” she asked.

Leo shook his head.

“No, I will first hunt all the beasts in here… by myself.”

Katherine raised a brow.

“Still not tired?” she muttered, glancing at the time.

“You have 1 and a half hours left before the realm closes. If you miss that, you will need to wait a whole day before it opens again. And I suspect, by that time, that red-haired elf might wake up and rebel.”

“I will be quick. I have already noted down the locations that I need to go,” Leo said calmly.

The others looked confused as to why Leo would want that, but they waved it off, thinking this training maniac might still have some experimentation to do.

But Lily narrowed her eyes; she had always suspected Leo could get stronger after hunting beasts, and it looked like she was right.

But she didn’t mind; his getting stronger was always welcome.

“Leo, you go and do whatever you want. I will make sure these two girls don’t create trouble after waking up.”

Leo nodded.

“Great. You all can slowly move toward the Realm Gate. I will arrive before it closes.” Just as he said that, he vanished, taking Shyra and Nyxa along with him. He left Niri behind to soothe the elves with her presence, as he could tell it had a calming effect on the conscious ones.

While is was drifting away, Katherine’s telepathic voice echoed in his mind.
